There is a certain story on here that I've read that I would rate as very good or excellent if it didn't include, at the time of writing, two instances of what seems to be Author Filibusters. Now, they don't take up a lot of the work by word count so it's not an Author Tract. They're also relatively subtle, but they're still very noticeable (to me, anyway), though I'm not 100% sure the author was aware that they were, effectively, ranting. I was thinking of pointing it out to them, and ask if they are intentional etc., but I was worrying that then I would fall afoul of Rule 8, in particular if a discussion developed.

To make a long question short, what should I do in such a situation?

    EDIT:
Just realized I might want to specify that the filibusters are related to recent politics stuff. While talking about Rule 8 implies that, I just wanted to make sure that's clear.

Regarding Rule 8, we enforce it a good deal more leniently when it comes to story text. Mentions of politics within a story are allowed, subject to some limits.

Discussing those political topics in the story thread is generally not allowed. If you want to ask the author about it, you can do so in PMs.
