Welcome to Remnant!
Several things to keep in mind before you go on to delicious character creation.
1. I did not create this CYOA, I found it in the General CYOA thread and all credit for it goes to the one who created it.
2. Your history choice is restricted, you cannot choose New Arrival and your character is locked as male. BUT... because of this the cost of other history choices is halved. This means that you can put in (-[] Self-Insert) choice under your History one if you wish for your character to keep their meta knowledge of the setting.
3. Most of the choices in Semblance section are copies of the already existing ones, therefore I will allow write-ins in this section. Feel free to go crazy.
4. If you pick Faunus as your Race choice, no mythological beings... but you can pick ones that went extinct.
5. There is another additional starting location, Roving Clans.
Roving Clans are traders, explorers and adventurers. They are nomadic and mercantile people, traveling all over merchant plying their trade and offering their services for hire. Wherever the roving clans go markets spring up, commerce blooms and strange and wondrous goods from all over Remnant are traded. Roving Clans do not have any established cities, instead they have giant scarabs that they tame, breed and build their cities on top of. This allows them to have great mobility as they can move their cities at will. Roving Clans are the faction with the longest history on Remnant as they never faced the full brunt of Grimm ire due their nomadic traditions.
6. As we progress through the story, you will be able to earn more points to use in this CYOA. This can be done through great feats, achievements and victories.
7. You guys will vote with plans in this quest.

Chapter 1 Part A - The Arrival
Your name is John Doe... yeah, it wasn't very creative but it was the name you got stuck with when you got stuffed into this body. Besides, it wasn't like you old name was relevant any longer. Sure, you had family and friends but for some reason you just can't seem to bring yourself to care that much. You got over the initial transition pretty fast when your body's memory started to kick in.
You were in a world of Remnant which is from an animated web series RWBY. Which was all kinds of screwed up since RWBY was practically a death world.
You quickly decided on a plan and declared to your parents that you wish to be a hunter, they were not amused. They thought that you might've read too much comics and that this was just a passing stage. That notion quickly flew out the window when you used your savings to buy yourself a weapon, armor and gear. While your mother protested, your father decided that if you were really going to do this you were going to do it right. He introduced you to a local hunter who took you under his wing for a short while. You trained like a man possessed. You barely got any sleep, you just trained until you were exhausted and then continued to train some more.
While you were training you noticed a few things that were different about you. For start, you seemed to remember everything and you meant everything that you saw, heard, touched, smelled and tasted from the moment you woke up in this new world. You also seemed to have an almost inexhaustible stamina. Neither of your two parts of memories seem to recall having these kind of abilities. Either way, your skills improved rapidly. In fact, your mentor was so surprised by your progress that he personally unlocked your aura and sent a recommendation to Beacon together with your application, you were accepted.
Before long the day of your departure came. While your relationship with your parents were a bit strained they still wished you well and hoped that you would return to them alive.
After you boarded the dust plane you were expecting the life of adventures and opportunity! What you did not expect is to spend half of the ride on your back. Yeah, you were not feeling so good. You're not sure if it's the height or all the shaking, perhaps it was all the excitement. But luckily for you, you got used to the feeling pretty fast and were less likely to launch chunks of your lunch at someone important like Jaune, that poor bastard...
Anyway, you were looking around, hoping to see someone from the main cast and you did find someone.
She was looking out of the dust plane, probably gazing at the passing scenery.
Do you approach her?

A/N
The first few chapters will introduce you to the main cast and will set the tone for the rest of the first arc. So I suggest you pick your choices very carefully, otherwise you might find your meta knowledge get irrelevant really fast.
But it's not like its a bad thing, don't forget, there are other OCs now walking the world of Remnant and they do not play by your rules. Important thing to note is that I did some changes to them, nothing to their character but a lot to their backgrounds.
