Shaman King - Fanfic, Idea and Discussion Thread

So, I'll start things off. One idea I'm thinking about, is something like the shadow necromancy ability used in Solo Leveling. Say a shaman made contracts with ghosts to make them guardian ghosts, and then uses his shadow for the Over Soul form, kind of similar to the way Hao uses the air for the Over Soul of the Spirit of Fire.

On that note though, is Furyoku. If the user is linked to the Over Soul's due t being his shadow, and when they are 'killed' he experiences the death - would the Furyoko of the user go up? He might not actually be dying, but experiences the death mentally, similar in a way to how Jeanne uses the iron maiden coffin to constantly increase her Furyoku. Personally, I think it might, although the increase in Furyoku would be more minor in comparison to a true near death experience.

For the ghosts, I was thinking of just using servants from Fate/Grand Order, albeit nowhere near as power.

Okay, is pretty hard to find stuff of this fandom and i kinda liked the manga.

For the Shadow OS: while the universe rules are flexible, there are limits. Unless the ghosts had a really good nonnection to shadows (aside from gods or elementals) i doubt it could be a thing. Not only are 'shadows' an esoteric element, but also very much incorporeal. Hao was very straightforward Spirit of fire == fire needs air/oxigen == OS phisical air around Hao

As an alternative, i'd suggest a fluid that could be disguised as a shadow. Blood is kinda edgy but dyed water could be used; stretching it, ants maybe? Swarm shaman? Personally, id keep the shadow thing as a surprise gimmick rather than a main thing unless im overpowered enough to mess around.

On the furyoku: no, i dont think so. For one, assuming the OS is legitimately a shadow breaking it might not be possible for most of the world, is not a thing that controls an element but the element itself; Hao never had to worry abour air breaking.

For two, asduming the shadow stand thing could be "killed"... no, i mean sharing pain maybe but it's just pain, even if he felt being stabbed on the heart is not like his soul transitioned for a while. Shamans grow in power by being closer to the cycle of death and rebirth, Jeanne lives on a torture device and Hao cheated an explot. Feeling a killing strike doesnt seem that sipritual considering the bullshit some characters had to go through.

About servants: maybe. Depends if they are still around. Most would have have passed already (considering that the GS is actually kinda heaven, which would not help any actual seance to bring them over) or have a truckload of issues to keep for hundreds of years

 

If you’re using FGO Servants, then it’s somewhat similar to Illya’s Prisma spinoff. I remember the MC (Yoh?) fusing with his spirit (Amidamaru?) before he got Oversoul, so it’s like Include and Install?

 

Hey, is this idea still lives or its dead ? I think it will be awesome to see Fate-Shaman king crossover with SI. Another big plus is to have Hao Asakura having competition strong enough to spit him in face and state that for all shit he has saw it doesn't excuse his barbarian acts.
