Site running abnormally slow

Same deal as me, excellent internet and no other issues with loading other sites, pics or vids. I wonder if it is an optimization issues on the server end?
 
I've had the same issue. Occasionally long pages might take up to 30 seconds to fully load. Sometimes pages quit loading half way and I'll have to reload.

Images also load extremely slowly. I've taken to clicking the invisible few pixels representing the unloaded image to pull up the image browser, and manually downloading it.
 
Took a full minute to get the Post Box to be ready. 30 seconds for this Page. Been happening since last month for me, thought it might have had something to do with the bot swarm or my side again. Sometimes I need to close and reopen Spoiler Tabs to get Images to even start Loading. Usually they can take up to half an hour. My Alerts have trouble opening and clicking the Alert Bell sometimes sends to the Alert Page from how long it takes to Load if I do it too soon after the Load.

To offer perspective from the other side of curtain
QQ on both phone and desktop working as usual, absolutely no slowing even when there's multiple pics per page, alerts work wothlut issues, videos load without issue, and the reply box is instaresponsive

I'm not familiar with web architecture, so..could it be a regional issue, somehow?
Or specific browser issue? (Using firefox myself if its relevant)
 
You guys experienced only slow connection? I wasn't able to connect to the site itself!

I'm now noticing SB and SV are having stutter issues about once every 4-6 hours now as well. It's doing it on Chrome, FireFox, and Internet Explorer. It's doing in on 3 types of Android phones, the Apple16 a friend has, and the computers at the local library. Checked with a few friends on the other side of the US and they are having the same basic issues but only on either phones or PCs (1 with every phone they tried and 3 with only their PCs.) I tired like 400+ other sites and have had no similar issues as to what QQ, SB, and SV are even the main Xeno website are doing.
 
Very good to know it's not just me. It does come and go, but I've certainly noticed the site being significantly slower than usual at times. The thing that got me to check if there's a forum post was when I ran into a 502 error on two threads, though it cleared up after a minute with a refresh.
I'm on firefox, though as this seems to not be isolated to any particular browser or other setup I'm not sure that information helps that much. 😅
 
So the site is under a DDOS attack?

I haven't noticed any difference in performance, then again my potatoPC is kind of slow and outdated, so no pics load unless I click on them.

Which ... fair, it is business as usual.

Perhaps clients with better specs than the server get screwed up but those who are within the server specs do better in compatibility terms? I dunno.
 
According to one of the admins, the server load looks fine and normal, and the staff are seeing mostly normal behavior. To me, it sorta feels like some sort of general network issue somewhere in the path some chunk of the userbase takes to get to QQ.

Small update after some testing: I'm only seeing the issue on my smartphone, and switching to the desktop seems to resolve the issue although that's hard to confirm due to the random occurrence.

Does anyone have the same issue on a pc?

Yup. It's not platform-dependent, but it might be internet provider nonsense or who knows what. So far we've had plenty of people mention various browsers, phone and desktop, and we've got the mod confirming that it's not the QQ servers. Shit be wack yo.

The guy above's from California, I'm on a different continent, so it's definitely not local. No clue what's in between that could be causing the issue. Shit is, indeed, wack.
 
I'll throw in my 2 cents on this issue, I'm using Chrome on an Android + I'm in the Philippines and I'll try and explain what I've been going through:

On Start-up: Whenever I open Chrome and it opens into QQ it's just a blank screen, grey. I can still access the Chrome topbar and reloading the page fixes it, but I have to do that everytime.

Switching Tabs in Chrome: Tabbing out of QQ to go into incognito mode or access another page then Tabbing back to QQ makes the page go blank again, hides the topbar, and attempting to just tap on the screen makes the page go white and brick Chrome making me restart the app. This happens like 60% of the time, kind of depends on how long I spent on another tab, but also just happens even if it was just a really fast redirect? Maybe it's something to do with power and resource saving on Chrome.

Switching Apps: I would say a good 80% of the time whenever I leave Chrome running in the background and then switch out to another app like YouTube or something, tabbing back to Chrome gets the same issue as above. Grey screen, no topbar, clicking makes it go white and bricks Chrome. I can still go into the task view, like the button to the left of the home button, but I can't take focus off of Chrome or it will brick itself.

Back Button: Using the back button too much too fast has a high chance of just giving me a blank page, but I do have the topbar accessible so I can reload the page.

I don't know how much this will do but that's my documented experience for these past few days. Also I didnt realize we got jumped by bots.
 
Not sure what's going on, I've been experiencing the same issues as the poster above (page blanking) used to work fine before. This happens only on mobile for me. PC still works fine.
