This thread will be dedicated to an AU based around the comedy idea of of Sora becoming ludicrously strong before leaving the Destiny Islands and how it effects people and events around him.

It will host the main story of Level 100 Sora, discussions, and side material that may not be canon to the story. All canon story scenes will be threadmarked as such in order to avoid confusion.

If you have any jokes or scenes that you were inspired to write based on the premise, feel free to post them as the engagement helps fuel the main story.

Prologue: Dive to the Heart
After a series of experiences that he could only describe as a fever dream, Sora finally managed to plant his feet on solid ground.

He looked with wonder at the plateau of glowing staned glass he stood upon. The main figure depicted within was a beautiful lady with a series of smaller figures around her.

So much to do,

"Huh?" Sora looked up to where the voice seemed to be coming from but found nothing but darness as far as the eye could see.

So little time...

Take your time.

Don't be afraid.

The boy thought for a moment, "What...would I be afraid of?"

The door is still shut.

Now step forward. Can you do it?

Sora began to walk forward, feeling for a moment like he was walking against the wind before that strage pressure disappeared.

Three lights shone down from above and beneath each a stone pedestal rose from the ground.

Power sleeps within you.

As the voice spoke, an object manifested above each platform; a shield, a scepter, and a sword, all bearing a symbol he didn't know the significance of, a large circle with two smaller ones above.

If you give it form...

It will give you strength.

Sora went to each object in turn and listened as the voice described them in ominous and fantastical ways. Thinking for a moment, he ran back to the scepter and grabbed it.

Is this the pow-what are you doing?

Before the voice had even begun to speak he had ran back to the other two platforms and grabbed the sword and shield before placing them on the ground.

After a few experimental waves, he got the scepter to react and begin spitting out small stars, which he blew onto the back of the shield, changing its one handle to a more manageable two and positioning them that the point on the 'bottom' of the shield would be towards the knuckles.

"Yeah, it'll be way more useful if I can punch with it!"

....So you choose the staff and shield and rejec-what are you doing now!?

As the voice was questioning him, he was placing the pommels of the sword and scepter together. With a star-showered glow of the rod the two were fused. Sora gave the new weapon a few experimental swings, smiling and nodding with pride.

"Now I've got a magic sword with a long handle for more reach and leverage, plus it's got a club on the other end. This is way better!"

That is not how this works.

"It's my dream and I have a magic staff. Why shouldn't I be able to do this?

....You know what, alright. Lets just move on.

Some time later, Sora had been directed through combat against a number of small but fairly weak creatures and had been made to perform several simple tasks, all the while advancing from one platform to another.

Partway through, he'd been confronted by illusions of his friends back on their island, asking him wierd questions. Afterwards he simply wound up back on a platform where he had to fight more of those things.

"This dream's kinda...confusing."

A pathway opened up to the next platform, prompting him to run up. At the top, a bight light was shining down from above.

The closer you get to the light,
the greater your shadow becomes.

Sora looked back at the shadow in question and was quite unnerved when it began to move on its own. The specter in question lifted itself from the floor and stood up, causing Sora to back away as a feeling of wrongness overcame him.

But don't be afraid.

The shadow grew into an enormous monster that towered above the boy.

And don't forget...

As he continued to back away, he quickly found himself with no more floor to stand on, and was forced to face the creature.

Summoning his weapons to his hands, he fought, and after a breif but grueling battle the giant fell to its knees and began swiping at him, pushing him again towards the edge.

But don't be afraid.

The floor beneath Sora became envoloped in the same darkness that the creature had pulled the smaller ones from and the teen began slowly sinking.

And don't forget....You hold the mightiest weapon of all.

He struggled to get free as fear overtook him.

You are the one who will open the door.
---

Sora opened his eyes to the shining sun and the clear, blue sky. He sat up and looked out to sea the sea stretching across the horizon. With a yawn he leaned back to continue his sleep only to be shocked awake by Kairi.

She teased him about napping while there was work to do on their raft and bopped him on the head lightly when he tried to describe the vivid dream he'd had.

Then Riku showed up to chastise them both.

As Riku and Kairi were talking, Sora began to think to himself, 'If we're going on this journey together, there could be all kinds of monsters out there, just like that one. I don't want to feel helpless like that again, especially not with Kairi and Riku depending on me.'

After finishing a quick race with the two, Sora climbed back up to Tidus' favorite spot overlooking the beach.

"Hey, Tidus! You up for some sparring today?"

The Fruits of Effort
It had been four days since Sora had begun his enhanced training and he had been running Selphie, Wakka, and Tidus ragged the whole time with sparring matches. Today, they had suggested that he was ready to take the three of them on as a group for the first time.

Only Riku had ever managed to do so before, quickly defeating all three of them with his usual ease. However, Sora was determined. He knew that if he was going to protect his friends on their journey, he would have to become even stronger than that, even stronger than Riku.

The trio surrounded him as they got ready to begin.

After they all signalled that they're prepared, Selphie called, "You ready?"

Immediately Tidus and Selphie rushed Sora, forcing him to turn and run to make distance. Meanwhile Wakka had the same idea, setting up a throw. Thinking quickly, Sora deflected the shot back at Selphie, the impact catching her off guard, and countered an attack from Tidus.

Quickly going on the offensive he began attacking the younger two, which Wakka made him pay for with a hit to the side.

Refocusing his attention, Sora deflected Wakka's next big spike back at himself and rushed him down with a quick combo. Unfortunately, the older boy wasn't stunned for long and countered with a spinning punch, kocking Sora back towards his other opponents.

The young man found himself surrounded and could only desperately fight his way out. Focusing on Selphie, he let out a quick flurry of blows to try and make a gap in their trap. Just as Tidus and Wakka were going to attack him from behind, however, something miraculous happened.

As he finished his assault, it was as if he could feel something within himself push outward. Next thing he knew there was an orange, sparking bubble around him and his friends cried out in pain, the younger two dropping to their backs and the older falling to one knee.

"Whoa!" Sora gasped, "Are-are you guys alright?"

Tidus was the first to start recovering, leaning up from the ground on his elbows with a grimace. "What the heck was that?" he asked.

Sora looked at his wooden sword and hands. "I...I don't know. I've never done that before."

Wakka finally shook off the effect and began helping up the other two.

"Owowow!" Selphie griped as Wakka lifted her from the ground. "My whole body feels like I hit a funny bone..."

"That was combat magic," the older boy answered. "I'd heard of some old soldiers bein' able to to do stuff like that, but I never thought I'd see it in person. Least of all from someone younger than me. Crazy, mon'."

They all shared looks of surprise.

Sora once again looked at his hands, "I can do magic?" he said under his breath. "Whoa."

He was startled out of his thoughts whenn Tidus and Selphie got up in his face.

"Dude," Tidus exclaimed, "You've gotta show us how you did that!"

Selphie nodded excitedly, "Yeah, it's only fair, right?"

The teen scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "I don't really know how I did it myself but, if we can figure it out....sure!"

The four began to talk enthusiastically, trying to figure out how to do it again.

This might be five months old, but I will say Sora just deciding to combine all three weapons did get a laugh. Maybe it's what influenced him to do the level 100 on Destiny Island challenge. I am curious what Kari and Riku think about this.
Thanks, I really need together back to this.

I'll start uploading what I've already got. Thanks for reminding me.

Level 100 Reached New
Riku and Sora stood atop the plateau across the bridge.

Riku gave his sword a few test swings, "Alright Sora, it's the first of the month so the win-loss record resets. Let's see if you can get the first point this time."

Sora smiled, eager to test out the end results of all of the last month, "I've been training like crazy to get ready to set sail!"

"Yeah, I've been watching you down there." he laughed, "I'm impressed, but Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie haven't managed to beat me yet. Let's see if you're any better."

Riku did his signature move of jumping over his opponent to attack from behind but as he was falling he saw that Sora had already turned around, readying an overhead strike.

The moment his foot hit the ground he pushed himself to the side just in time for the swing to miss.

The sound of roaring waves filled his ears and he turned his head to see a short stretch of seabed emptied of water and a bisected shark, halves flopping on the sand.

By the time he had registered that the ocean had just been parted, he also noticed Sora's next attack. The horizontal swipe connected with his arm and ribs and that was the last thought that passed through his head before his head passed through a palm tree and his body dug a small trench into the beach below the plateau.

Sora pumped his fist and cheered, "Now the score's 1 to 0!......Riku?"

A Seat With a View New
Riku walked up the dock where Selphie and Kairi are looking out at the sea, "There you are, Kairi. You're supposed to be getting food for the raft. What's taking so long?"

"Sorry Riku," she apologized, "I was just taking a break to enjoy the view."

He followed the girls' gaze, "What view?"

As if on cue, Sora stood up, out of the sea, water running down his newly acquired muscles as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Oh, hey guys!" he waved, "Sorry I'm taking a break from work. I was just taking a dip to get the sweat off."

Riku stood there for a moment before shaking his head with a sigh, "Whatever. While you're in there, catch some fish for the boat rations. I'll smoke them up after."

Sora smiled brightly, "Got it!" then dove back into the water.

Before Riku even had a chance to leave the dock, a swordfish, grouper and a large eel slammed into the sand of the beach from above.

The silver haired boy rolled his eyes and yelled out to sea, "When you're done with that, grab some more wood. We're gonna need a bigger raft since you went and invited the others!"

"Yeah, okay!" Sora called back, quickly swimming back to shore and ran to the tree line.

"Well," Selphie sighed in obvious disappointment, "It was a nice view while it lasted."

First Impressions New
A man in a brown cloak peeked out of the cave that held the keyhole for the heart of Destiny Islands. Looking down to the beach he saw a shockingly toned boy practicing his sword swings, which wouldn't be very surprising had he not been swinging a tree.

"H-he's so jacked!" the cloaked man whispered. "What are they feeding that kid?"

As if on cue, Sora picked up a coconut and bit into its shell as if it were an apple.

The figure stood there silently for a moment, "I really hope that's not the one who gets the Keyblade."

Well, glad to see you're embracing the insanity of this concept, coupled with utilizing the fact this is a story over a game. While I do enjoy these chapters, one small problem is that brown cloaked individual. Were they a version of Xenanort using the time travel method? Wouldn't that mean they know about this variation of Sora in this moment, though depending on which variation they wouldn't know him upon going back to their slot in time.

Still, perhaps that's me trying to put logic into the insanity which is something you honestly don't have to address with this being a comedy.

Thanks.

My thoughts on the brown cloaked individual. We see at a later point in the series that Xehanort does this when time traveling, however, each version of him has a unique voice and this one had Ansem Seeker of Darkness's voice. So rather than time travel, I think of this one being the same as the one who possessed Riku later. He's coming back to see Xehanort's home world one last time before it's claimed by darkness.

Whichever version of him you prefer to imagine here, just assume that this was the first Xehanort to see Sora, so he didn't know what to expect.

Oh no…level 100 spew is basically all but a deeming of and would fit in with misfits who would go off and raid elemental plains or go take on the abyss/hells in dnd terms. (Lvl 20 psycho's)

As it is, getting that at the beginning with no downsides is scary as heck.

Imagine the heartless version of sorta being one of those titans of The Darkness.

Basically solo's everyone because fuck you.

Yeah, putting that much power in the hands of someone who's got no sense of how things are supposed to work for the average person is dangerous, but plenty of fun for us.

Imagine the heartless version of sorta being one of those titans of The Darkness.
I'm glad you mention that, but if I say more on that I'll spoil later developments. 😈

Basically solo's everyone because fuck you.
For the most part.

But he's not the only RPG protagonist that appears in the series, is he?
