    Did the mod team decide to just lock topics that are too big, or is SB hitting a crackdown on inappropriate topics? Cause I still see some 100+ page topics around, some bigger than some locked topics.

    i think it's partly a new guy rush, there's been a durge of necros over the last month (it looks like this month has had more necros then may-july from what i can see, may be wrong.) could also be that there has been an upswing in reports and people being assholes in whitehall and debates.

    Then why are Quests over at BROB getting locked? And active topics as well IIRC?

    Killer for Hire, Boiling Blood, A Knight Does Not Die With Empty Hands, Kingdom of Shale, I think I saw Necromancer Quest get, lots of Quests getting shut down.

    Kingdoms of Shale says it's locked on my 'Unread Topics' thread.

    Opening it up to check, but yeah- This is odd.

    EDIT- Yeah, KoS is locked. No 'Innapropriate content' warning, or anything [Which IMO would be ridiculous, as KoS has almost nothing even vaguely questionable]

    I'll take your word for it, so it's PROBABLY not inappropriate content.

    I could see Knight being shitcanned for it, but seeing as the source material apparently runs on minors gettin' jiggy in one form or another, at very least with 'romance', or Killer for Hire since....well, we're a monster, we look like a young boy, and act like one too. You only get away with that shit when you cross the line twice, be so absurd you can't be taken seriously. Don't hit that overkill, I could see it taking a hit.

    But some of this stuff? I stopped following Boiling Blood BECAUSE it was so tame and fawning.

    If this is Cosmos Quest all over again....

    Well, at least a lot of the locked topics already have accounts here.

    Lets see 100+ pagers in CRW are also still open or they just did not yet got the time to go there. Looks like they split up the work and someone is maybe going down a list and thus missed some BROB quest because they jumped pages on him.
    Well time to go back to the 20 page threads.

    Unknown, no word from mods yet... BUT, SB has been lagging like a bitch lately and it's said that the lags are linked to how Xenforo handles replies (replies pulling EVERYTHING in said thread).... so....

    The sensible solution should be to switch to a non-Xenforo software... no? Oh... how about thread caps?

    SB can't move to a different software because the owner is affiliated with XenForo, right? Or at least, that's what I'd gathered from previous conversations.

    Don't really like the idea of threads being capped even shorter then they are now, but it's got some... Hmm. What's the word, precedence? Yeah, that's it.

    I'd advise caution until further information comes to light. It could just be one of the mods trolling, theres usually an announcement before mass locking or at the very least a reason why the thread in question is locked.

    Maybe the reason there are stil some 100+ threads and CRW is untouched is that they're prioritizing those with high traffic?
    Kind of hard to check what's still there with all this lag, though.

    I think that this time we must complain about this to the other mods, I mean KnightQuest has been there for over a year, and it's had no problems, and then to suddenly lock it just like that, it's just wrong now.

    Edit: Apparently there are no mods at the moment, so I'll have to wait before I can speak to them.

    I'd prefer to wait for the stated reason for the lock.

    If it's a length issue and an attempt to lessen the server load by limiting longer threads, that's completely different from 'Lol lets hack this segment of the forums'.
