There only exist Green and Yellow rings in the Silver Age.

The only source of Green is the Guardians, and the only Yellow one is on Sinestro's finger.
 
Presumably, if he needed a ring with the insane power of the silver age, he could just assimilate, no?
 
Going by the wiki page, the events of this comic are supposed to lead to one of the Guardians deciding to go on a road trip with Hal and Green Arrow. Paragon has mentioned it before. If this variant of Paul didn't derail things too much, it could lead to him joining the road trip.

No, because Silver Age Power Rings aren't universal blanks that can be filled with any light like the one's Orange Lantern deals with, they're actual mechanisms that are specifically designed to channel the specific spectrum of light and only that spectrum.

Okay.

Provide a comic panel, or comment from a Silver Age writer, or anyone from that era, where that's a stated fact.

Then provide similar evidence that the Orange Ring can't do that.

We've seen other Paul's assimilate other power sources and devices.

As I understand it, the Absolute versions of power rings are completely different to actual power rings. An Absolute plot would be to force the SI into a setting where he's compelled to work for a tyrannical state on things he doesn't care about but can't quit. New Order universe, maybe?
 
The Guardians gave Paul a Lantern here so they have to be compatible in some way. Mr.zoat has changed hundreds of small things or added others they aren't canon to the comics in the story. And I don't think power rings here would be more powerful here than they are on Earth 16, when everything in the story has been toned down to more sensible levels of powers. Even the Silver Age Kara we know doesn't seem to be much better than Earth 16 kryptonians apart from having better senses and super ventriloquism.
