Yeah its so tiresome how many fics think good Dumbledore HAS TO be a mouth breathing moron.

Indeed. I'm glad we did better here.

I'm very happy with how Dumbledore is being portrayed here. In the original pitch, it was unknown how... Fanon Duumbly would be.

I mean, originally, we wanted to know what you wanted, and a lot of what you wanted was relatively unspoken at any point in time. You were pretty hands off tbh, so we had to do our best to fill in the blanks, and Alphabet was adamant that it was boring seeing Dumbledore be in some way a mess.

I agreed, and we got talking, and discovered that Dumbledore was just autistic, not stupid. And that if given the chance, and a better option, he would have rectified the issue immediately.

Which, while likely not canon, is our new headcanon. Expect more fics like this if people ask us for Dumbledore in a Harry Potter in the future. Unless they specifically ask for something different.

I like dumbledore here. No bashing, no cartoonish evil, just an old man who dropped the ball and is trying to make up for it.
My favorite take was one, can't remenber the fic name but it was comedy, where Dumbledore had legitimaly gone senile but since he had always acted weird the other adults didn't realize it. ;p

I've done one where he was legitimately high the entire time, and didn't know any better. Because the special pipe weed he got given by a former student was too strong.

My old fridge blew a compressor and half-cooked and refroze about 300canadian dollars of food repeatedly, making it unsafe to eat. Offering comms for half-off via Ko-fi until that gets settled. I don't get paid until the 29th. Anyone up for commissioning me so I can afford to restock my new fridge so I can eat for the next ten days? Gonna post this on a couple of my threads and hope someone sees it.

Wooo! Thanks to a few commissioners, I can eat this month! People are awesome. Gonna update the threads with this message now so people know not to worry anymore.

Who would like me to write a little Fantastic Beasts side story for this, to show John's ancestry, and also show why Dumbledore is the way he is here?

John was pretty sure that Magic was just 'whatever' at this point. Seriously, it was crazy!

He had pulled out his little radio, and started fiddling with it to get it on the local rock station, when the bush decided to take it! And then it grew an antenna to find the radio signal the tiny radio was having problems with. Which was really cool, and he was kind of staring in awe when the plant grew a series of mouths to sing Queen to them!

"We will we will Rock You!" the bush sung, the grass dancing and the vines on the back of the house clapping as the vegetables began to cheer.

Even the Great Oak was happily waving at them, and providing them fruit for snacks. Super cool, right?

"You got mud on your face, a big disgrace, somebody better put you back into your place," they sang along, happily as the garden played with them and made them feel right at home…

Until some old man yelled over the side of the fence.

"Are you kids bloody insane?" he asked. "If I didn't pop up a buncha wards and obliviate the police, you would have been swarming in muggles trying to experiment on you now. Stop doing that and go buy some proper wards first at least, goddamn kids."

After that, the mood was killed, and they pouted, wandering back inside.

~~~~
"Jim! We've got a letter!" Stacy called out from across the house.
Hm. Normally she wouldn't call out like that if it was any regular mail, addressed to him or not. Jim decided it was best for him to go check it out.
Heading downstairs, he noticed an owl of all things perched on the table. A short moment later, it took off, flying out the window he assumed it came from.
"We've got a letter from the Ministry of Magic, it seems," Stacy said, waving an envelope in her hands. "Most likely regarding the boys."
"Oh, right. Yeah, you mentioned that the magic folk want to keep magic a secret," Jim realised. "Well, let's get that thing open then."
The letter read… mostly like letters from the mundane government. It essentially asked them to ensure the kids could either control, hide or through any means avoid the possibility of the greater public witnessing any acts of magic. As much as the kids were enamoured with their… new forms, Jim supposed it was reasonable for them to be concerned about such things. But…
"…Well. The magic folk basically told us to get the kids under control before they step in," Jim said. "And I don't know about you, but I'm not particularly keen on any government having anything to do with our kids. Not Thatcher, not whoever's in the Magic Parliament– or whatever they've got going on there."
"I guess we can ask if Albus can–" Stacy began to reply, before getting interrupted by another owl pecking at the window. "Well that's solved that problem."
Quickly opening the window back up, the owl flew in, perching atop the table. Untying the letter, they saw that it was indeed from Albus Dumbledore, addressed to the both of them.
This letter was a tad… well, Albus Dumbledore always seemed to Jim as a man that had his head a bit in the clouds. Or at least, while he did seem like a fine man, he was a tad awkward about anything that wasn't magic. As was typical, he'd noticed, with magic folk like that.
Anyway, where was he…? Right, the letter was a bit meandering, but it had essentially told them that he'd noticed Harry and John's "unique skills", and to not worry about Ministry disapproval, as he'd sent for a mentor to help guide them before their education in Hogwarts. A "Kitsune" of some renown he'd met along his journeys, whatever or whoever that was. As far as he knew, a "Kitsune" was some subgroup of folks his colleagues tended to be a part of.
Right as he set down the letter, he heard a knock on the door. He and his wife looked at each other. Hmm. They nodded, and Stacy went to go see who had arrived, Jim following not too far behind.
Opening the door, the two were greeted by… actually, Jim might have seen this woman before?? Wait… oh yeah, that one child psychologist friend one of his colleagues had. He went to one of those group meetups and might have talked to her a few times. Respectable woman, couldn't remember her name though. Jim was always bad at names.
"Hello Mister Baker, you might possibly remember me," she mentioned with a small smile. "I am Doctor Futaba Fujiyoshi, PhD in Psychology, Registered Mind Healer for the Imperial Japanese Onmyoji Corps, and Kitsune. I was told by my old friend Dumbledore that you needed someone experienced to help teach two young kits how to hide away their tails and ears so they don't wind up the subject of no-maj scrutiny."
"Ah, good to meet you then, Dr. Fujiyoshi!" Jim replied amicably as they both stepped back. "Come on in, then!"
As they closed the door behind her, she released a pair of tall fluffy fox ears and nine fluffy tails from behind her, removing her shoes as she followed them, her nose sniffing at the air while she walked. "I can sense that they are nearby. Might I have a look at who I will be working with, so that I might assess how to best teach them what they need to know?"
Jim blinked. "Right, they should be out playing in the backyard, last I checked," he told her.
"Then I will go see what they know, and what may be required to teach them," Futaba nodded gracefully as she made her way to the back patio door.
Once she slid it open, she stopped and smiled, a light giggling sound coming from her throat that got the boys' attention immediately. "Or they're so adorable!" she grinned. "Look at them, they're just kits!"
She giggled a bit more and their ears perked up, their tails wagging and John even responded with giggling of his own, which was an adorable sight indeed.
"I'll do more than teach your boys, Jim," she smiled. "I'll protect them with the power given to me by my Clan Patriarch if you let me. All kits deserve to live long and learn the ways of the Kitsune if they desire, after all… But Dumbledore wouldn't have asked me if he didn't think your family needed a guardian, and I can see why in hindsight."
Hmm. The kids did seem to get along with her just fine, and she was apparently a licensed psychologist and magical 'mind healer'. She seemed to be of an alright sort to Jim. Also, Dumbledore did mention in one of his letters that Harry was a rather significant figure in the Wizarding World, mostly due to the fact that he was the lone survivor of an evil wizard's magical attack that somehow destroyed said wizard. As such, the poor boy had both fans ignoring how he'd lost both of his parents that night, and enemies that were followers of that particular wizard.
"Well, your services would be gratefully appreciated, then," Jim replied, extending a hand. "How about we iron out the rest of the details where we won't bore the children?"
"Very well," Doctor Fujiyoshi accepted the handshake. "I will follow your lead, Mister and Missus Baker."
Jim still didn't have much to say about magic. But the kids would be alright, he thought to himself.
Foxxo has plans for this going forwards, and all of those plans are heavily contingent upon Alphabet getting enough money donated to him to match what Summercat gave me in terms of word count last month when shit got really bad for me for a bit there, and I almost had to go hungry for about ten days.
So, as a result of getting a ton of comms dropped on me, I am far ahead of what Al here is capable of, so our friend here TheLetter_A needs cash to catch up with what I have left.
If we don't get him some cash soon, he'll run out of words for it, and then I'll have to put it on hold for him. Which would majorly suck balls, and not in a good way.
We got enough to do a few more chapters at best, so anything we can send his way for it would help.
TheLetter_A: Indeed. Feed me, Seymour! I'll appreciate every donation you make to the cause. Just join the discord and notify us over there about your intent, and we'll mark it down and soldier on. o7
01: Yer a Wizard, John.
It was the day. The day that John and Harry were told of in a set of magical letters. Magical letters that came to them via owl, directly to them! They were to go shopping for Wizarding things!
John and Harry were Wizards! They had more than just Druidic magic at their back and call.
The first thing John wanted to learn, was how to cast Fireball. Because Fireball solved every problem. And of course, if it didn't solve your problem, then your fire just wasn't hot enough.
Well, jokes aside, John knew better than that actually. But it was still really cool to be able to learn magic that let you transform into animals, or that allowed wood to fly. Because being on a broomstick and flying through the woods with your friends did actually sound pretty fun.
Even as he thought this, the doorbell rang, and he just knew that the Professor that was set to greet them, Professor McGonagall, was going to be awesome. He hadn't even met her, but he was so excited to try!
His parents opened the door, revealing the witch in question.
"Mr. and Mrs. Baker, yes? I am Professor Minerva McGonagall, the representative from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," Professor McGonagall stated in a professional tone. "Have I caught your family at a poor time?"
"Oh! No, no. Come on in, come on in!" his mother replied. "The kids should be nearby. John! Harry! Our visitor's arrived!"
Harry thudded down the stairs as he ran down in excitement. Ever since John's own letter had came in, he'd been visibly eager for the day the Hogwarts teacher would arrive.
"Is it the Wizards?!" Harry excitedly asked, ears perked up.
"It's the Wizards, Harry!" John laughed. "They've come to take us on an Enthusiastic Shopping Trip!"
Futaba perked up from her little doggy bed, stretching and padding over in her fox form with a grin. She was a good teacher, and had taught them a whole lot. It was really fun to play with her too!
"Looks like we're off to see the Wizards, eh kids?" Dad joked, before turning back to the Professor. "If you'll allow us a short moment to prepare for our trip?"
"Of course," Professor McGonagall nodded. "I can provide a short list of things you may need for today, if you need?"
"Yus! We need to put on the Fedoras and Trench coats, right Harry?" John exclaimed excitedly.
"I don't think that's necessary today, John, it's going to be warm today," Mum said, gently putting a hand on his shoulder. "How about you two quickly comb yourselves and put on some fresh clothes, and we'll sort out the essentials, okay?"
"Awwww," John's ears flicked downwards as he pouted a little, but his tail kept swishing. "Okay mom. But I'm definitely wearing my fox hoodie then."
With that he rushed off to get changed and meet them back at the door, with hair and tail brushed and looking presentable. Even if they'd definitely have to hide them before they went out for a while, much to his spirit guardian's grumbling.
Seeing John's expression, or perhaps sensing his spirit guardian's discomfort, Professor McGonagall gave him a small smile. "Don't worry too much there, Young Mr. Baker, once we're through to the Wizarding World, you can safely show your druidic features as proudly as you wish," she said. "You would not be the only wizard around with unusual features, after all."
John perked up at that, and jumped for joy. "Woooooo~"
With that, they all gathered around McGonagall, who showed them a small dog ring chew toy.
"This is something called a portkey. It will be how we will be making our way to Diagon Alley," she explained. "Those of you who will be coming with, please put your hand on the portkey, and do not let go."
Futaba grabbed it with her mouth just as the rest of them did, and a few moments later, they were off.
~~~~

John nearly puked when they landed, but managed to hold it in properly in the end. It was waaay too spinny, and very much made him wary of what other methods of travel the wizards may have.

He groaned, walking with them as McGonagall explained the leaky cauldron, but wasn't really paying all that much attention due to the fact that he was still a little disoriented. When he accidentally bumped into a large man wearing a massive ratty coat with a full beard, the man looked down at him and smiled.

"Sorry 'bout tha', didn' see ya there," he said. "Though you migh' wanna catch up wi' yer family. Oh…"

"Just a little quesy at the moment," John gurnted.

"Ah yeah, first time portkey? Don't tell yer parents, but drink a shot o' fire whiskey on me, it helps more than ye'd think," the man sighed, tossing a few coins down and handing him the shot from the bar.

Welp, how'd the saying go again? 'You only live once'? And the man did smell like a nice guy, so he took the drink and slammed it back, his vision immediately clearing, and the world making sense once more.

"Thanks!" John grinned. "Got to go now!"

"No problem, see ye at Hogwarts lad," the man chuckled, waving him off as he ran to catch up with the rest of them.

They were out at a wall, where McGonagall looked at him with a raised eyebrow, before shaking her head. Then, she tapped the wall in three separate places, and it peeled back to reveal what looked to be the most awkwardly laid out street and buildings John had ever seen.

"Now stick close to me as we travel here," McGonagall said. "Many Wizards and Witches on this street are respectable, but it's better to be safe than to wonder off into places where they are not so kind."

"Okay!" John chirped, feeling a bit lighter and a little giddy, but also feeling like the world was a little brighter and warmer then he remembered.

"First, we are to go to Gringotts, the main banking institution of the Wizarding World. It would be quite difficult to go shopping without proper Wizarding currency," the Professor explained. "It is primarily a goblin-run institution. As such, I would advise you all to treat them with as much respect as you treat others."

"No problem!" John grinned, giving her a thumbs up.

He genuinely didn't see why anyone would try to disrespect a Goblin anyways. Goblins were linked to the Fae, right? So it would be a really bad idea to be an ass to them. It was almost like she was telling them that there were people that were so racist that they just did that on instinct or something!

As john thought this, he wiggled his foxy ears, listening into the conversations being had on the street on the way to Gringotts. Some of the people hawked their wares loudly, some people stopped and commented negatively on Harry and John, and some people were giggling about how pettable they looked! So it wasn't like everyone there was a lost cause, but there were enough of them that John felt it was certainly going to be a strange experience in the end.

His guardian spirit seemed to agree with that, happily settling down as his tail stood up tall and proud, enjoying the warmth of the fire whiskey still flowing through his veins. Though he was feeling warm and content, he noted that he didn't feel even slightly tipsy like he should have at that age from drinking alcohol, and chalked it up to fox magic.

It was clear that they were going to be in for a long wait, however, as when they arrived to Gringotts, there were a lot of people trying to get in, and all of them were lined up in neat and orderly rows in front of every teller. Not a single one was free and ready for them in the grand marble halls, but he did at least get the time to appreciate the golden symbols swirling through the stone everywhere he looked.

"Woah…" Harry breathed. "It's so shiny, and there's so many people in here! Does this bank serve the entirety of Wizard Britain or something?"

"Indeed," A Goblin with a long nose and a smart-looking suit said, making his way over to them from the back rooms. "You're just on time, McGonagall. We will be escorting you and your charges from here."

"Excellent, Mr. Grabhand. I do hope you remembered that most of these individuals are experiencing the Wizarding World for the first time, despite appearances," she replied.

"Very well," he stated. "Now if you will come with me?"

With that, they took their first true steps into Wizarding society. And so far? It wasn't so bad!

TheLetter_A: Kept you waiting, huh? Here's a new chapter, fresh off the presses, fresh off the heels of me returning from my holiday and recovering from a holiday illness!

Kitsu: Fun fact! What Hagrid did here was actually quite smart. We ruled that Fire Whiskey has Fire magic in it, and John has a Fox spirit in him, making him a Kitsune-tsuki. As a result, his body would absorb the fire magic in the whiskey to heal up, warm himself up, and be largely unaffected by the actual alcohol content. Especially with only a shot full.

Hagrid knows his magical creatures, and while he doesn't want to get in shit for it, he knew it would help a lot. Plus he would rather the kid didn't get lost due to being disoriented, as he can tell the kid is a Hogwarts student. He's also a major softy, and couldn't stand to let a kid suffer, so he did what he could.

TheLetter_A: I would say further things, but my mind is repeatedly getting distracted and is wandering way too much, it's very late at night on my end and yeah. As much as I'd like to expound upon on the many varied topics that may arise throughout the reading of the chapter, both Kitsu and I want the chapter to be finished and I personally want to go to bed.

02: McGonagall's "Professional Opinions" Must Never be Stated

Minerva McGonagall primarily viewed herself as a rather professional witch. One had to be, to retain the position of Deputy Headmistress and the Transfiguration teacher for Hogwarts, among other things.

"Gringotts as a banking institution has existed for many centuries now, and has since then served as the Wizarding World's primary bank, lending to countless witches and wizards every day," Minerva said as the cart rocketed along the rails. She was far too used to the trip for the speed to rattle her. "If you wish to learn more about its history, I'm sure Professor Binns, our History of Magic teacher, would be eager to answer any questions you may have."

"Wooooohoooooo!" John whooped, as they sped through narrow corridors to their destination, his tail raised life a flag and his ears pinned back as his tongue hung out of his mouth in a silly fashion.

Oh dear. Albus had told her about the children prior to her arrival. He'd told her a few cursory details about how they practiced druidic magics, and how they had certain features that arose from those magics. Really, that was the only thing Minerva knew about the magic, and of the children. Aside from, of course, one of the boys being James and Lily's son, having been adopted into the family after the Dursleys were found unfit.

Minerva was generally rather fond of children. She would have quit being a teacher long ago if she weren't. But these two were just… so adorable. Their delightful little ears, their fluffy little tails, their earnest expressions as they took in their wonderful new surroundings.

Really, the whole trip was straining her hold on her professional bearing.

"Coming up on the first stop," Mr. Grabhand claimed, pulling back a lever that had them instantly stop in front of a vault, the enchantments taking care of any excess velocity.

"I trust you have your Trust Vault key, Mrs. McGonagall?" the Goblin asked as he held out his hand. "It wouldn't do to have the Hogwarts Trust Fund receive penalties for requiring a blood-key unlock today."

He smirked. "And while we do this, it just so happens that Mrs. Baker's own vault — relatively untouched and accruing interest for some time — just so happens to be reachable on the opposite side of the tracks. Your mother made quite the donation for us to adjust our halls to accommodate your trip, so I would share your appreciation with her when you see her next if I were you."

Minerva immediately began fishing out a key from within her robes. She was a professional, and had gone on these excursions countless times over many years, and Minerva McGonagall had yet to be caught lacking. She presented the key to Mr. Grabhand, who took it with minimal fanfare.

The great, golden vault door melted away with the sound of countless clicking gears as soon as the key was turned in the lock. She went in, took two pouches with their names on them, and a third named "Hogwarts General Supplies" and left the vault.

It closed behind her by sliding back into place, and they moved on to Ms. Baker's vault. One that she opened by pressing her hand to it, and allowing it to test her.

It opened with nothing more than a hiss of steam, allowing her and her children inside. Once there, she took a few expanded pouches, filled them with some of the neatly stacked coinage, and walked back out with a nod.

After they received their funds, they were taken back up to the surface with little more than a few polite warnings not to spend it all in one place, and an invitation to come by once again to check the states of the accounts with them in the end. Apparently Mrs. Baker had been receiving quite a bit from her mother for a long time, without truly telling her, much to her apparent bewilderment.

But once more, they set off, and found themselves making their first stop. Ollivanders…

~~~~
After another short trip through the tunnels, they were back out into the street. And Harry was especially excited, because they were heading out for their first purchase of the day — Wands!
Just imagine that! Waving a wand around and yelling 'Alakazam', 'Jiggery Pokery' or 'Mumpus Bumpus'! He could barely hold in his excitement!
Futaba wiggled in his grip with a huff. She was definitely amused, but she was pretending to just be a silly fox for the trip… Like a stealthy guardian, hiding in plain sight!
"Excited to get your first wand, Harry?" Mum commented from behind.
"Yeah!" Harry cheered and nodded in reply. "How'd you know?"
Mum simply smiled. Oh, right, tail! He kept on forgetting. It'd been years since he got it and still it kept slipping his mind.
A short walk later, and the Professor stopped them in front of a very mysterious storefront. 'Ollivanders', was the name. Written beneath was 'Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C.'
Cooool!
"Well then, let's go in, shall we?" Dad said, gently putting a hand on his shoulder.
They entered the shop and… it looked old. Ancient, with a faint layer of dust covering everything inside. Was this shop… running still?
"Yo!" John called out into the shop. "You have customers old man, and we can smell you so don't try hiding and jumpscaring us."
Faint rustling could be heard from the shelves behind the counter. "I'll be in a second!" a voice yelled out.
Harry's curiousity got the better of him, as he peered past the counter– "Ah, valued customers, how may I help you?" a voice suddenly appeared from behind them.
"Aaah!" John squeaked, his voice cracking and his tail puffing out to it's maximum as his ears did their best impression of an airplane, whirling around to look the man in the eyes. "Not cool!"
"One must never fall prey to expectations," the old man said. "You tell yourself many things, only to fall for the most humbling of tricks."
The man then took his place behind the counter. "Now, how can Garrick Ollivander help you today? Wands? Staves? Some other mystical catalysts?" he asked with a lilting voice.
"Just the wands for my boys," Mum replied. "They're going to Hogwarts this year, after all."
John pulled his eyelid down and stuck out his tongue when mum wasn't looking, but swiftly showed he was just playing with the old shopkeeper by laughing playfully and making silly fox faces.
"Ah, First Years, how wonderful!" the shopkeeper cheered. "I always love serving them. The sheer wonder on their faces as their wand finds them!"
Mr. Ollivander seemed to be a rather weird old man, a bit like Grandpa Travis. Very cheerful, if a bit more concentrated on his work.
"Now, to help you find your wands — or, that is, help your wands find you!" Mr. Ollivander said as he began rummaging through various shelves.
"Ah yeah!" John grinned, before putting on a fake Hollywood Russian accent. "In Soviet Russia, you don't find wand. Wand find you!" he joked.
"Indeed, indeed," the old man smiled as he took out a box. "Young… John Baker, is it? Try this — Beech, 10 inches, Dragon Heartstring."
John picked it up, but Ollivander immediately took it out of his hands.
"No no, not that one," he said, throwing it behind him and picking out another box. "Yew, 9 inches, Unicorn Hair."
He made to touch it, but it shot away from him, puking bleeding letters and rainbows.
"Hmm. Not what I expected," he blinked, mildly concerned. "And not what you need. Don't worry about the floor, I'll clean it up later. Are you alright?"
"Yeah?" John asked, tilting his head. "That wand really didn't seem to like me, huh."
"That's good, that's good," the man smiled, before pulling out another box. "Mahogany, 11 inches, Dragon Heartstring."
He grabbed that one, and swung it. Blue sparks emerged, then made everything they touched freeze on the spot.
"Hmm. Temperamental, that one," he muttered.
And on and on it went, trying out several boxes.
"This one is one I made a long time ago. Perhaps this one should fit," Mr. Ollivander said, after digging through the shelves for several minutes. "Peach, 11 inches, with a strand of hair from a Gumiho's tail."
Futaba sniffed the air in recognition before speaking up, still in fox form. "Oh dear. How did you convince her of all people to part with her precious fur?"
"Oh, you know, young people do all sorts of things when they think they won't grow old," the man replied. "I was simply very handy with a brush, if I remember her words right."
Futaba looked thoughtful at that.
John picked up the wand and held it in the air like he was doing a silly pose and a jingle. "Da da da daaaaa!" the boy sung, and the wand seemed to sing in response to his silliness and claim him like he was its instead of the other way around. There was no other way to describe it.
Mr. Ollivander clapped. "Wonderful! A rather silly wand, that one, despite its dangerous exterior. Let's hope you don't encounter its donor, she's a rather silly one herself," he smiled, before turning to Harry. "Now for your wand, hmm? Young Harry Baker, yes? Let's see here… Birch, 8 inches, Unicorn Hair."
And on and on it went again, a few wands not doing anything, some doing the wrong things.
"Ah, this one… This wand has potential. Holly, 11 inches, Phoenix Feather," he said, holding the wand up to examine it up close. "Its brother, I'm sure you know well, given that it was the one that gave you your scar. This wand, just like its brother, has the potential to do great things. Terrible, yes, but great."
Accepting the wand from the shopkeep, the moment he grasped it, it felt like everything lit up.
"…Indeed. I feel we must expect a great many things from you, Mr. Baker," the old man nodded. "Hopefully nothing on the level of Lord Voldemort, of course. But fate holds many strings that we mere men cannot see. We shall see what it has in store for you, hmm?"
"Harry! Are you secretly a hero protagonist from one of those old movies like Star Wars? Are you going to have to fight an Evil Empire and discover your long lost Uncle was really innocent, and his best friend was the Big Bad Evil Guy or something?" John asked, his tail wagging happily. "Could you imagine what kind of shenaniganry we could get up to if people think you're special? We could cause so much silliness!"
"Indeed. Many great things indeed…" the shopkeep smiled indulgently. "Oh yes, before I forget. 20 Galleons for the purchase of two wands, if you would please? It is terribly expensive to finance my trips to acquire more wand core materials."
"Oh, right, I very nearly forgot myself," Mum replied, reaching into her money pouch and fishing out the required amount.
As they were leaving the shop, they bumped into another large group about to enter.
