does bringing up the new ai modding ripping source codes violate rule 3?

i'm not sure if it counts as advocacy for illegal content

*edit: in regards to the videogame thing.

To my understanding you can talk about pirated content and send indirect links to it without issues as long as the page doesn't have a built-in download option. This should also be fine; even sending links to rea's github page should theoretically be fine as having a tool is very different to using a tool to break copyright (I personally wouldn't though).

Also I don't think advocating for piracy is illegal in the US anyways, as long as it's just speech.

This sounds like a fine time to reiterate my stance that anyone has blanket permission to use any of my work for any purposes without asking or accreditation in any way they wish in perpetuity. If I one day burn everything, you may restore it from archive, repost it, alter it, and it will not be plagiarism or a dick move to do so. I am copylefted. I am ideologically opposed to the very premise of "intellectual property", "copyright", "patent", "paywalls", and other such things. The only thing I forbid you to do with my work are actions that would stop others from also using my work, such as by trying to paywall or copyright or patent it yourself.

Can you point to where rule 3 talks about "advocating" illegal content? As far as I can see, all it says is don't post it, you can advocate whatever you damn well like (within the constraints of the other rules, at least, particularly rules 1 and 8).

no, me cannot.

if it matters,

Spoiler: blegh

what prompted me to ask this specifically was observing the new ai-porting going on and applying it towards Bethesda Games' mods like the Frontier and Tale of Two Wastelands as enormous bug-fixing tools. So that the actual devs can focus content creation and checking already-written code errors.

then my thinking led to just... bug-fixing bethesda games in general, and as much as i would like to immediately go gung-ho on that, personally, i don't particularly like the idea of [todd, emil, and pete doing nsfw things to me]

Honestly, for that kind of thing, you're more likely to have to worry about rule 8 than rule 3. Although I can't see any obvious reason it'd breach it.
