I mean...*looks at Berlin By Night, Chaos Factor, MECHA, Haight, Baba Yaga etc.
Strictly speaking, canon lines are a bit zigzag on what they are still and still aren't for 1st and 2nd Edition stuff.

But my point is that thinking SPD is part of the Technocracy is perfectly valid for numerous reasons. You don't have to get so annoyed at it.
Given it hasn't been canon in ages, yes I do have right to feel annoyed over it. You do not get to tell be what I can't be annoyed about.

I didn't insult him over it, I didn't say it wasn't ever canon. Just not mainline canon anymore.

Canonlines are fucking mess yes, but 1e and 2e hasn't been mainline canon or even treat as "this is true" for ages. A lot has been just gone and that is good for a lot of gamelines.

So Hunter the Parenting released a new Secret Hunters episode (the ones where Markus and Kitten look for haunted video games). From the looks of it:

1. The next big arc will be probably about mages after the werewolf arc finally ends. Which I am conflicted about, on one hand their Norfolk Wizard Game series shows they know how to handle Mage, on the other hand I really want to go back to the Supernatural Season 1/2 feeling of the early series.

2. They also decided to advertise a new StoryTeller Vault fan-book related to Werewolves. It sounds good but it's 40 USD so I am going to wait for a sale, but if anyone reads it/gets it please share your views.
We still haven't had a follow up to whatever the sabbat may have been planning, the Tremere regent even showing up after her ghoul in the supermarket informed on the crew, the blue creature, etc ad they are moving on to mage?

Even the Technocracy Reloaded still treats SPD as a Syndicate methodology. Hell, I need to correct myself on my previous answer since they apparently STILL receive quarterly taxes from SPD.

Even the text on M20 is very suspicious. "So, what is the Syndicate putting into this particular black box, considering that they are still getting paid in the name of the SPD?"
I have no right to tell a person what to feel. But I can tell you that it is very easy to think SPD is still a valid part of the Syndicate.

I really got excited thinking we were going to get some more info on the Sabbat side when they were doing the woof audio log and Matilda came across vampires in the Umbra. It was a nothing burger...
Like, I don't hate the werewolf plot but can we go back to the Sabbat, Ghoul and the whole OG storyline for a bit?

Expect for all the points its not. Its disappeared, and while its paying back like nothing is wrong. It has active agents going "What the fuck is this, we have to look into this and keep this from rest of the Union".

Hell sake, we have active group of the Syndicate hunting and trying to shut them down.

considering how Choose Your Own Setting/History oWoD is I don't really care, but it also isn't a fixation for me.
I know I can get absolutely anal about the things that are, so I can't really throw stones :V

The Special Information Security Division is like right there, in the very same book that your pulling from for that. To the POINT its pretending to be the SPD, and even fooled groups like Invictus

Technocracy Reloaded 119 for the info.

Yes but for all practical purposes for most Mages, SPD is still part of the Syndicate.
To the point the very group you mention, Project Invictus (which isn't a Syndicate group but explicitly left with unknown origins*), still thinks SPD is part of the Syndicate.

The very same group who thinks SISD is SPD aka still part of the Syndicate.

So if someone new or isn't a lorenerd goes "SPD is Syndicate", it isn't really strange. That's my point.

Yes...I posted it on the previous page for Bommel.
In M20, it basically the same but by the modern times, they basically fully left and the few Syndicate who know they left keep the others in the Syndicate and the rest of the Technocracy.

I also don't care but I just don't want people new to the setting to get treated aggressively just because of something like this.

Then why are you acting like SISD isn't pretending to be SPD which is not the real SPD that left? A faction pretending to be a faction, but not really being something you should clear up. Not leave to be misunderstood.

This isn't about in world info, we are can say what they don't know. I can even understand them not having the books, but you can clear it up.

I did clear it up for Bommel after telling you lay off though?

My point isn't whether SPD is or isn't the Syndicate. (Or whether you should have them be Syndicate or not, since M20 by default is meta-agnostic)
My point is that it is a very easy thing to think it is and no need to be so aggressive towards someone because of it, especially if they are new.

That's it.

I wasn't aggressive? I was annoyed. I even suggested a place Bommel could find the books as the stores don't carry them.
