On a Pale Horse (Umamusume/Youjo Senki)

[Zoratsu]

Imagining game Shirogane is funny because im the alt timeline where horse Shiro got put into the altUmamusume game, before she was released (assuming she wasn't in the first wave), there'd just be this NPC Uma that shows up constantly. Players that didn't know the lore that much would be so confused.

So another everywhere system like Machan?

[MikaShogo]

Ngl Shirogane could really be the mother of Dream Journey in the future, they share quite a bit of similarities to be a coincidence. Especially with the comment at the end where Nozawa was scrambling away from her after that confrontation.

That conversation between Shirogane and Grass after Nozawa ran out, gives me this image.

---

Shirogane: Oh, you know that official that ran out the door?
Grass: Oh yeah?
Shirogane: Yeah, they got her.
Grass: What does that mean?
Shirogane: Some people will miss her, probably...
Grass: What do you mean "they got her"?
Shirogane: She had a good run in her career.

(Someone please create a fanart of this please!)

[WrandmWaffles]

People screaming out about her in event in game, waiting for her to be finally released as an actual umamusume. While casual fans are baffled at the reception of this supposed NPC Uma.

She'd probably show up in other trainees' careers, but the amount of times she shows up in races makes people think Cygames is using her as a stand in, but no, she really did run in all those races.

I love that she's balanced and not overpowered as fuck.

Click to shrink...

She is very OP, just not in a way that lets her win each race.

There's my oshi.

"Shiro I think you're not setting a great example for your fans here…"

I think there should maybe be a bit more acknowledgement by characters that Shiro failed at the end at least partly because she was distracted by Grass Wonder injuring herself

Click to shrink...

To be fair, no one else really noticed what happened, and Shiro isn't going to bring it up.

but the time split between Special Week in first and Shiro in fifth was likely around a tenth of a second at most.

Click to shrink...

Yeah the Tracen runners passed the finish basically as one pack with a notable gap to the next runner.

To be fair, Stego still acts like the second most manliest uma out there. Impressive, for being as short as her IRL counterpart.

The first, oddly enough, is Mejiro Ryan, who's a fashionless gymbro.

Symboli Kris S is the most dad like uma, I think. Helps that the horse's kid and kid's mother are in the game too.

Would this work?

That's not what a punching bag is for!

So Shiro's applications for six crowns has spread now so people might think she's absurdly full of herself.

I really did not think that Hana could get splashed by Shiro's reputation. Maybe its naive of me to think that the trainee and trainer is separate and should be thought of so as well.

Click to shrink...

Since Hana has trained a couple of triple crown winners, a lot of people do think that part of it is her ambitions for bigger things. And it's also partly because her reputation that she could schedule Shiro running so often without people getting too alarmed.

I think Hana will remember from that moment onward that those half were illegal per racing rules. That maybe Shiro has affinity towards some violence.

"No, Shiro, you can't brake check your opponents."

[Nictis]

Shirogane getting distracted by her own ult is kinda hilarious to me.

Also, I haven't played through Grass' route. Did Shirogane's ult avert a career ending injury?

[Stracio]

Did Shirogane's ult avert a career ending injury?

Click to shrink...

Hmmm? No not really. This injury was going to happen sooner or later.

IRL Grass Wonder gets injured during the first half of 1998 and didn't run Yayoi Sho at all (and then there's Grass' ineligibility to run the Classics as a foreign-bred horse).

In the game, in all Golden Gen career but her own, Grass gets herself injured around this time and would take some time to recuperate until the Mainichi Okan (also IRL) where she and El get smoked a certain Otherworldly Front Runner. Then Grass proceeds to dominate the Grand Prix races until a certain Overlord in the year 2000 destroys every gambler's dopamine rush

Speaking of said Otherworldly Front Runner, Shiro's likely gonna be in that race...and the one after...

...Oh no...

[TheLoneFrog]

Oh so they're just straight up match fixing now huh? Down with the JRA. Never getting an inner gate? As much as Shirogane races? Bullshit.

My hate for the Karen rises.

Yeah, I know how bullshit her stamina is. It's just not a speed factor.

[Potates]

That's the wrong uma to aim at, even if she's a bit rusty in disarmament.

Shiro: -begins sliding into fighting stance- I don't think this is wise Grass-san.
Grass: What? Oh, pfft, no. I'm not aiming at you. You can keep a secret.
Shiro: She has no idea.
Grass: I'm going to go Euphemina on these fools.
Shiro: I...see...carry on then.
El: Grass, no!
Grass: Grass yes!

[Solconbur]

El: Grass, no!

So she just spontaneously manifests when Grass goes off the reservation. OK.

[Vadelent]

Hmmm… I wonder how fast Kurogane will be able to shake off the accusations of doping when she wins her next race, smashing a pr and gaining entry into the tiara races. Because if a certain wannabe dance mom is willing to fix races to ensure someone loses what would she do when they win anyways?

Japanese is a language where phonetic spelling is 1 to 1 accurate to pronounciation.

While it's nowhere close to English, it's not like Japanese doesn't have it's own silent vowels (e.g. dropping the u in Suki) and altered sounds, with the most common being ha -> wa.
