Giving Madoka's mum some of Kobayashi's traits like the maid obsession also helps flesh her out and stuff.. also the image of Tooru and papa Kaname getting into fights over who is the better maid/house-husband is hilarious.

And Tooru trying to NTR Tomohisa and failing every single time.

Like Takeo-chan, a manga about a hilariously unlucky girl in a youkai mansion. Or Choujin Gakuen, a gag manga about a disaster attracting guy anda love powered devil girl.

It does actually have a few new evolutions for regional variants of older Pokémon. Like the local Meowth evolving into Purrserker rather than Persian, and the local Zigzagoon line having a third stage.

Feels a bit meh though because the monster gets a tragic backstory and the enemies torture and ritually sacrifice his family. Like.. come on, why go through the trouble of playing a monster if you just make them not evil in the end?

It's just unit composition, a standard set of research order, and knowing how the battle mechanics work. It's easy to become unstoppable on land, and then sea and air are mostly automated.

I see.. so most of it is pre-build? That does make it a bit trickier because I cannot learn on the fly, because I will already have fucked up everything by the time the first bullet flies.. and I really don't have the time or patience to learn how to order everything...

Hell I ignore mountain/desert etc.. bonuses and unit composition in the other games most of the time and just try to throw more men at the enemy... doesn't look like this works here...

Mangadex is drowning in isekai. I think I've stumbled on literally dozens of them while trawling for good stuff, all depressingly the same: "I was so-so or worse in the past life, but now I'm gonna rock because I've got cheats! (and not, you know, due to any personal effort or merit or some such)". Shitty art and translation getting discontinued less than 10 chapters in are popular options, too.

It is quite ridiculous, and makes it a pain to find the rare hidden gem like Konosuba. For all that people moaned about generic harem comes in the past, at least there was a lot of variation in these...
