    Yeah, the story that used this premise had a massive power creep that kind of broke the initial xianxia setting and even had ZamMC return to Earth after a hundred or so chapters and start crossing over to other settings not long afterwards, having infinite copies and infinite fusion is basically infinite growth

    Just take that and Minority Report it by having a plotline where "Dangerous and untamable" Pokemon are "Taken away via Storage so they don't present a danger to society" (Done in-game through a pokemon you find and acts as an NPC, not one you catch since that'd be too much but one that you need to go "rescue")
