Not even close! Was an FPS but you're fighting fires. Even had a button for "check if surface is hot" to determine if there were fires on the opposite sides of a door/wall. It literally was simulating being the firefighter themselves not the entire systems and infrastructure.

Well, right off the bat the song playing on the radio at the start was the classic theme, and obviously everyone's got the OG designs. Most of the VAs sounded like the ones from the Cybertron games too.
It's dead in terms of popularity. Sure, there are occasional new launches... but they always seem to flop.

The bigger problem with giving an RTS a story, aside from how nowadays you probably won't find as many good writers available is how a lot of the options for a campaign are either rehashing existing stories quite possibly literally if you're doing a history themed RTS or one of the old "actually there's a secret entity manipulating everything" plots that C&C had. Honestly I'd settle for a good campaign with a passable excuse plot for what you're doing. The first AOE had that even if it also tried to stomp your nuts flat with some of it's limited force missions.
They already did offscreen. That's why Thanquol was so pissed at the start. He's been plotting revenge on those two, Felix and Gottrek, for like 20 years and they had no fucking idea who he was.
The original Age of Empires 3 came out in 2005. And the remaster that did come out in 2020 gets an update, is played by fans for a day or two, then gets abandoned for a variety of reasons. Age of Empires 2 with its two remasters get more attention and player investment.

You say that as a joke, but I'm afraid the numbers are even more dire than you say.I think at least half the Star Fox games that came out in the past 20 years are some variation of the same game but, I don't know the exact numbers on that.
Well got a gift from my mother in the form of a 30$ Steam card. Only got 3 Games with it. A pack with Cultist Simulator and all DLCs and FAR: Changing Tides in it and a Game called "The Pathless". Haven't Played the FAR one but if it's anything like the first one it should be fine. Adequate. A walking simulator. Cultist Simulator fucking sucked.Content Disclaimer said:
