  • Hiya. I liked what I've seen so far of To Be Sword (FATE). Thought I'd ask if it was on the backburner, on hiatus or dead? Would be sad if it was dead and gone, but this does happen sometimes.

    If so, did it touch too closely on the same beats and tropes as For the Love of Kung-Fu? Was it just a case of writing it and coming back later only to find you would want to rewrite it? Or was it as simple as it lacking general interest, it not getting commissioned or you just losing the spark for writing it?

    If nothing else, I love For the Love of Kung-Fu to bits, so here's a token of appreciation for you.

    I like that story a lot and I've just been focused on others. I hope to give it a chapter or two eventually. So it's not dead. I will most likely update it around the same time I will upgrade my worm fic.

    Smut about casual sex is painfully tedious. Unless there is some high level degeneracy being indulged in which generally precludes casual sex. Why the fuck would I be interested? how the hell am I supposed to give a shit about an encounter that the character themselves is gonna barely think about or remember. Anyway till my next rant

    Wow, it's been a while since I've looked at this part of my page. Sorry for the late reply. As for the answer to that, it's a strong maybe. That story is full of plot holes and fixing them would take me away from the stuff I'm writing now. Though I may just say fuck it and write it anyway plot holes and all.
    Thanks for writing King of de-escalation. It hit it's stride after the first few chapters and got surprisingly thoughtful and funny. Greg's mom, Natalie, is one of my favourite characters in recent memory.
