    …9 months might be too long to continue my quests… it could be paranoia about if I continue them I'll get stuff come up or writers block and mental burnout and stuff again and end up stopping again for months at a time. But I also worry that if I instead did a new thing I'd wind up disappointing certain people… but also like… doing nothing due to decision paralysis is no better. This post is a vent basically

    I mean...you can't necro your own threads. If you say something in your own Thread, even if it's been 6 years or something, you're just resuming it. It doesn't break the "No Necro" rule because, as I understand it, that's mainly to prevent people from bothering people about stories they abandoned.

    I'm not going to say things are well because they're not great but they're not terrible either, just a combination of things that lead to very limited free time and also drained creative batteries (since the thing I do for money also tends to be fairly creatively driven that drains them somewhat and takes priority over hobbies)

    That said I'm not putting sonic quest on hiatus I'm planning on resuming it when I can just the game plot chapter didn't come out how I like and I'm struggling a bit with how to handle that going forward.

    Life has decided to kick me between the legs repeatedly the last bit. Internet outages, multiple family members being hospitalised, my own health taking a hit, kid being suspended from school, busy work schedule… just a lot of stuff that's meant finding time to do quests has been rough. I'm hoping things will improve so I can do them soon

    So i've been looking over my quests and i'm starting to see the issues that led to them going onto Hiatus. i think i'm ready to resume at least one of them (Either Silica or Kairi most likely as those were my favorites) but i'm going to need to do some small overhauls on their mechanics and maybe do a soft reboot.

    also maybe make a program to streamline the rolls and modifiers like i did for my fallout and sonic quests. (and no the current programs won't work for them due to how they work.) I might write one more chapter in the old mechanics as a kind of announcement when i'm almost done with figuring out how it needs to change to work better.

    Okay, so i've been trying not to do this but due to IRL stuff i need to Officially put all my current projects on Hiatus till i'm able to re-evaluate my priorities and figure out which ones are worth continuing. Ideally i'd like to do all of them but my health has made me realise that's not practical.

    It wasn't a quest but yes I have plans. I got really busy and didn't open the site for like 2-3 months there but I'm back now and in the next few days I'll be polishing up what I have to hopefully resume.

    So... I was really trying not to let my stuff stagnate again but i literally just had a wave of nausia when i tried to start updating so i guess my body hates me doing things that are fun. i'll try and get stuff soon.

    for those who follow me due to Wired Genesis allow me to explain what is happening with that. Right now i'm updating my quests. I do 1 or 2 updates a day. Once they're all updated i'll resume writing for Genesis, posting chapters as i finish them until we loop back around to Quest updating time.

    That is accurate. I might allow another vote if someone spends a reward for a recount but currently that's the case.

    Now nobodies and unversed on the other hand will likely get their own vote when they become narratively relevant.
