    I saw some of these Pokemon web novels talk about how in certain junior level tournaments, there's rules about how you can't use other people's pokemon and they have to be received within a year, but this is one of the problems the original series already solved.     I feel like I could do a villain + game-system Pokemon story pretty well with this premise: MC.Biigoh had isekaied to an Earth without Nintendo, which merged with the Pokemon world, and then the "harem protagonist" killed MC.Biigoh, causing him to go back to the start from the moment he isekaied. So villain revenge on "evil hero" plus two systems.
