  • I have a question, how do walk ins work? Also, when I use the public version it says that walk ins are free. is that correct or is that an error?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
Walk-ins are pre-existing characters, not SIs: "Ciri in Cyberpunk," (that happened in canon), "Shirou in Danmachi," etc. They don't have to pay extra to be themselves.
How does Template Stacking work to change the race in a character who is already a Hybrid naturally, using Gohan as an example, a change of race to a Yokai could only change the human part? because I couldn't stop thinking about a Saiyan with fox tail and ears in DxD
    Aeon_Rex
Quick question about Dxd. It says any captured High-class Devil or Angel loses either their evil pieces or Brave Saint deck. Does this mean if you capture someone like Rias her Peerage is no longer Devil's? Also, can you gain a peerage if you substitute or extra as a Devil?
    AngelicKnight.
So I know any retinue members who have a crippling weakness like Kryptonians and Kryptonite and devil fruit users and sea water, have said weakness reduced to normal human levels.

The rules mention vampires too so I assume its sunlight and/or silver depending on the type of vampire, but what about their need/desire for blood? Or a Ghouls need for flesh? I assume those remain unaltered?
One question, the rule that if you buy or capture Ophis, do you receive Lilith if she doesn't exist yet, does it also apply when buying her in DRX as the first purchase? And does it apply when buying it for any world or only if the world is DXD?
    Dr_BlackThumb
Quick question, if you start as Naruto, does it mean that you begin with three captures(Minato, Kushina, Kurama), I haven't seen any rules regarding the shadow clones inside him, and since they lasted a long time, they are probably some soul pieces or something.

Hello, i've got a few questions:
    1. If I want to get Superman's powerset and not a race change to kryptonian, do I also get Supes weakness to kryptonite? Follow-up, would body defense block kryptonite's effect?

    2. Are there other ways for the retinue to benefit from Inexhaustible aside from Complementary Colors and Second-generation symbiote, that's in the catalog?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
    1. Ctrl+F "Kryptonian" in the doc. This is explicitly answered.
    2. Transhuman can also do it after a certain point. I don't know the new tree as well as the old. The general-use option is to just find a waifu who can create soul-connections.
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
In the interactive catalog randomizer for used waifus, you get sometimes conditions like, muscle tremors, persistent fatigue, etc.

Those type of physical conditions should be erased whe they join your retinue due to body talent, right?
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
A question about servants you buy. Those who had their growth stunted by any reason: okita, mordred, og saber, etc. Will they be able to grow into adult bodies overtime? Okita becoming like her alter self, Artoria like her lancer self.

If you have Everlasting Talent or access to the body-modification suite, yes.

Hey, do you know the link about the OC Donut Steel shtick that I've been seeing in other WC fics? I'm in the process of making a WC and I wanna play with that particular meta-talent for my build.
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
OCDS was an official perk in older versions, before it was re-integrated back into Template Stacking 1.
I was reading about the change of race, either with the Racial Template or with the Template Stacking 1 version of the Unstable catalog, if I substitute myself in Emiya Shirou and change the race to a DxD devil does it mean that I would lose the magic circuits? since it's a total race change
    Thunder God
And about Added potential to the Magecraft would be enough to restore the use of magic circuits? (it never hurts to have a secondary source of Magic power)

Also about Advanced Template Stacking, which one do you think would encompass Nasu's magecraft because it seems quite scientific but also magic circuits are supposed to reside in the soul so would either one work or which one would be necessary

With your (relatively) recent comment in Story Rant, I have to ask, do you know any worth reading fics with Glaistig Uaine in them? Preferably as a waifu, but I'm not picky. Cheers either way.

Hi long time fan I had a question about the Teir for Dresden Files that confused me since the setting had alot of Teir 11, 10, 9's that are active even if we don't see them in Chicago alot they are around and would be a threat to a Catalog user unless they had all the info and Tracing defenses (even that probably wouldn't be enough) as soon as they droped in why is it so low?
    TheDisturbedDragon
Gotta ask, have you seen any WC fics using Mesmera as the patron? I saw it was an option on the interactive page but I haven't been able to find any using it.
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
A okay, I finally understood how to read this piece of crap. Trauma tier is how many tiers from the character you're taking from them due to their trauma. Pretty much you reduce them a tier for each instance of trauma received.
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
No... But I'm not paying discounts.

I'm actually paying double, triple, even 10 times that (50 points for base tier 3 waifus) So I can get them in a higher tier (A tier 7 Cammy White for example) through the used waifu mechanic.

And Im getting negative numbers (-1, -2) in the the trauma tiers in the rolls of the interactive catalogue.
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
A question regarding the slighty used waifu option.

What does it mean to have negative numbers in the trauma tier? How can you explain that in-story?

Or am I reading the interactive catalogue wrong?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
In-story, it means they're psychologically broken in a way that justifies a -50%, -80%, or -90% discount. Slightly Used is part- Special Deals, part-Clearance Rack.
A question about the talents, they have a learning multiplier that increases even more the better your opponents and masters are, but what would be the minimum multiplier when training alone?

hey i have a question i am currently trying to make a build on your catalog and wanted to know if i for example buy Storm(Xmen) and then go to marvel comics is there a way to get the one i bought to replace the one already there or is it up to the player? and also is there a way to increase a waifus tier without using the dragon heritage?
    Danieldhdy
    Danieldhdy
sorry if you put something like that on the catalog but i cant seem to find a reference to that.
if the answer to that last one is negative then Deep Weave could work to take those missions? Since it says you can steal its form and it's Possession based and you get the memories like you would with substitution, could it be used to fulfill those quest requirements by absorbing them (It didn't fit all in one message)
I have a doubt regarding the missions, I found some missions where you have to replace or possess someone specific, does it mean that they can only be taken if you chose that option as Chargen? Or the missions would give that substitution or possession, required target?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
You're thinking of Challenges, which can only be taken at chargen and are almost entirely unofficial (though I did make one of my own, so...). Missions are all post-chargen and don't allow that sort of thing. Other than that, the two are similar enough that they can often be converted in either direction, with some work of course.
    Thunder God
Oh thanks, I was thinking of a mission that I found in the interactive version of the Catalog created by Om1cr0n (it's something more comfortable when you don't have to keep track of the points and options) , they uploaded a mission where you had to possess Ozma from RWBY that's why it was my question if Deep Weave work in that type of Missions
    Who404Who
Will you be bringing a way to make transhuman cores through Tantric Arts like you could do with the old ritual or are you kinda just force into using shroud to get higher level cores.(Anyway to cutdown the time needed to get a master core would be great cos it's something like 25,000 Years of work.)
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
The entire cores mechanic is getting axed with the Transhuman rework.
    Dr_BlackThumb
Question, why isn't there something like Template Stacking for mundane purposes? Let's say someone wants to get the skills of a famous artist/performer/actor to help with a subtler way of getting waifus, specially if you mix it with Arousing Whispers and being a famous singer.
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
Also, as another question, will it be possible for me to get free perks depending of my avatar?

Say, If I were to substitute into Alexstraza from wow, could it be possible for me to gain the dragon blood and dragon scale perks for free by only paying the waifu substitution costs during the character creation due to the nature of my substitution target?
