  • Heya Swift, I gotta ask why in the world is Doll from Bloodborne T8? She's immortal but ridiculously weak and can provide a middling Leveling System, that's it. Hestia from Danmachi's only T7 and she's a God.

Maiden in Black (Demon's Souls) was set to T8 because she has a similar role and feat to FGO Abigail Williams. The rest of the Soulsborne Maidens were set to equal her so that you could simply choose the one you like.
    Primalparadox
The powers I already mentioned are it. Doll can't grant Immortality, she can only empower a Hunter with a contract with MP. Honestly I thought she'd be T2-4 at best.
    Primalparadox
Monster Girl Encyclopedia's mamono mana has no power ceiling and can be acquired by purchasing a T3 waifu.
Hi Swift, just found a defence option that might be missing. No Man's Sky frequently resets the universe and it's content. Does Wildscape Defence cover reality ceasing to exist? Cause it's listed at T5 but seems unsurvivable through any method I can think of.

In catch a ride you have Black Ark under flying section when it should be in the sea section.
Also with spelljammers can you design your own of does it need to be a listed Variant if not would you be able to buy just the helm and install it into a ship?
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
    Sup' just passing by.

If you buy a ship captain as your companion do they come with their vessels?

If I were to buy captain Harlock as a companion would he bring his spaceship Arcadia with him? Or does this only apply to characters capable of summoning their own ships like nasuverse Servants?

Read the basic rules. The only exceptions are people who can summon a vehicle or store it in a sufficiently small form. (The cast of SSSS Dynazenon comes to mind.)

hey sorry to bother but i have a question, if i were to create a character that had access to things like a solar exaltation which are supposed to be limited to only 300 but had papertrail would the character actually have an exaltation or only thought to have a 301st which had 'obviously' existed before?.
    Danieldhdy
    Danieldhdy
as at least in the interactive version it says "Under the same conditions, any powers they have may be documented in a way that best fits your needs." and i was curious how it would interact with powers accessible to only a limited number at a time.
ps: i din't know there was a character limit in QQ

The company made their exaltation. It's a real one. If they had the Drop-in/Walk-in or Possess origins, it'll be a 301st.
    Hey Swift,
Quick question, Maru Mari. Is it just a budget work around for Conjunction or is there something I missed?
You've put alot into it with beasts to transport them, but all they seem to do is turn people into giant beasts. I mean there's a portal network. Conjunction allows control several of them I think.

So, what am I missing? They seem like alot of your efforts gone into them for... Nothing?
    SwiftRosenthal

The most basic feature of Maru Mari is the Morph Ball from the Metroid series. The name itself comes from the original NES game.
I'm going into yugioh 5ds as a starter world for waifu catalogue. I did randomize and got that, so quick question is taking Akiza from Yusei ntr him or no because I'm thinking on adding sherry to the list.

Were they in a relationship at the point of the story that they meat the SI?
Ohh, a question I've been pondering for ages. If you pick Alterzelu Symbiote alone, how and how much if any, control do you have over the Larva before structures? Theres no psychic talent or mention of pheromone queues so do they just do their own thing or can you be strategic with them right from the start?
It seems I remember zero from math class, I'm trying to work out just what size the Alterzelu King and queens junk would be, what's 130% on an exponential curve add up to???
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
Just treat that as a linear scale, the same as height. But height increases too, and everything scales to height, so just take the average length for someone who's 168cm tall and multiply that by an average of 1.69 (actual range 1.44 to 1.96).

Out of ALL the Waifu Catalog stories, which is your favorite? Mine is "My Harem Academia" by Leecifer, surprisingly wholesome and very well written.

Eww. His protagonists are all self-righteous, hypocritical assholes, and when he defends their actions in the comments he shows that the self-insert angle is far more accurate than he realizes or ever intended.

I suggest forgetting about him entirely and reading x50413's, Collinsworth's, and Andoriol's fics instead. Metabolicjosh and Meline Sureli are a somewhat distant fourth and fifth.

    Heya'

    Just got a small inquiry.

Say, You have a goddess as a waifu and you buy her a template stacking of one of the deities from danmachi.

Does that mean your waifu will gain the ability to grant Falna or would you need to visit the setting first with your waifu in order for her to learn how do that?
If you capture someone who has been possessed by a spirit, and both the spirit and the possessed person are in the catalog, which do you capture? Do you capture both? If so, would the spirit get their own body or still be riding around in the possessed person?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
It depends on the context. You'll often capture the host and then eject the spirit into a separate body, which will be in a (temporary) state where they can be captured easily.

Other times, if there's a SWP for the two together, you'll capture them both as-is.

Good afternoon Swift, wanted to ask a question pertaining to Shroud of power. The boost that is granted via complimentary colors, does that also apply to the contractor as well. Or do they only get the initial boost from when they first bought the binding in question?
    William Seymour
Hey Swift, I hope you are doing well. A quick question or two for you I would appreciate you answering for me.

Question 1. Can the company talents and defenses prevent the gods of Danmachi from sensing that something is off about Scathach?

Question 2. Evolution array, can this effect apply to monsters killed in Danmachi who have abilities native to them. An other adventurers?

Wished to verify the ruling for Cash Still Rules in the new update. The starting loan limit it refers to means the limit for that intensity's budget for DR10, even if the starting world is of a lower DR, correct? For instance, if I was at I5 and in a DR8 world, would the limit be 960?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
No, the largest starting loan on a CSR of that intensity and starting DR would be 365.
    SobaSamurai
    SobaSamurai
All right, thanks. Just wanted to check since the old rules could raise the budget over the normal amount in certain cases.
    Lord_Indoril_Nerevar
Hey Swift, how you've been doing?

Just passing by for a quick question.

What sort of benefits do Familiars get?

That is... Do they get acess to your Talents and defenses? Or do they just remain as they are as part of your retinue?

Can't find any mention of this in the catalogue's rules.
    MechaShogun
Out of curiosity are there methods in either one of the Shroud's powers or a talent that would allow for the changing of a captured target's sex without using Universal Calibration, or is that the only method outside some of the other Bindings?
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
There's always Demiplane Laws. The Shroud can do it natively, but it's an advanced technique that isn't listed in the rulebook.
    One more Symbiote question :)
The Creep only extends from the spawning pool half the footprint of the Hatchery structures, yet most functionality requires the structures be connected by Creep. Groves don't mention expanding the range of the Creep. What am I missing?

40,000 sq m is less than you think. The area of a circle with 1 km radius is 3,141,593 sq m (pi x 1000 x 1000). The 5 km raduis of a Lair produces an even larger circle (pi x 5000 x 5000), and then you can simply build additional hatcheries. The process repeats with the Colony and Hive upgrades.
    Primalparadox
Why is Alterzelu Symbiote nerfed so hard compared to the races it's based on? To the point it would actively and massively weaken anyone substituting or possessing any Zerg, Xenomorph or Tyraind characters? Also the final Hive structure, there's an error where you call it a Lair and what on earth is a World Tree? It is mentioned nowhere else in the Catalog.

It's actually still WIP. I still haven't found the time to draft out the naval and space content, just land and air. World Tree is part of the space content.
    Primalparadox
Ah, I assumed that was deliberate. Requiring Evolution Chamber work to make your own. That way all you'd need to finish is a final possibly multiversal structure to link it all.

How does one buy more than one element to wield and use through shroud of power? I am asking because I wish to do a shroud build.
    SwiftRosenthal
    SwiftRosenthal
Prismatic Shroud. Note that it's purposely inefficient compared to Waifus + Complementary Colors + Grand Tapestry.
Question is it possible to combine settings with all the characters if one setting has multiple distinct worlds like kingdom hearts?
Can you pick a cannon love interest or someone devoted to your substitution target that you yoink for a couples account?
And if your substitution Target is madoka and you have Homura do you still ascend when you fight Walpurgisnacht?
    William Seymour
Good morning, I have a question. Would tagging one of Sukuna's wax fingers count as capturing him or no? Out of curiosity because I am planning to do a waifu catalog jjk in the future and knowing that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
