Lights and sounds flash around you. Fires, lit by dancing electrical sparks, curtain the area.

At the center of the room, he stands. Hand outstretched, pistol clenched with white knuckles. His face is covered, the mask smirking lightly at you even as the eyes twist in hateful rage.

You fall, and wake up with a muffled shout. The alarm clock glows from the other side of the room- It's three twenty three. AM, not PM. You stumble to the bathroom and wash the sleep from your face.

"That same nightmare again, huh?" You breathe slowly, attempting to slow your beating heart- In and out, in and out. It doesn't help.

You're not sure what started the dreams- They've been repeating for two weeks now, starting just a few days after Rukia transfered to your class. For a moment you entertained the thought that she might have something to do with them, but you quickly discarded it- It was a pretty ridiculous notion, after all.

You make your way to the kitchen. Four scoops of coffee, about eight cups of water, and ten minutes impatient waiting later, you sit and nurse sweet caffination. Too late to go back to sleep, now.

engineer should be able to get our guy armed the fastest and the best. Solider will give him the skills to fight while killer... just sounds like the kid would go Psycho on us.

 

Likely that would be an 'instinct' choice that lets you embrace hollowfication (fullbringing ect)

 

All I have to say on the matter is that they are indeed all perks. Beneficial ones, even- Although that may depend somewhat on the situation, what you're doing, who you're talking to, etc...

So. It snowed last evening.

Apparently, that's all the college needed to go 'Lol snow morning', and my lab has been cancelled. I'll have to catch up on that later, but for now it's time free.

So, back on subject- I believe 'Engineer' and 'Study' are the winning options?

You have a test tomorrow- Or is that today, now? Something along those lines, anyway, and you've been putting off studying for it. Maybe a bit of last minute preparation will help you keep your mind off of things?

... Wow, this is kind of pointless. When are you going to ever use philosophy in your real life? It's just a way for people to make themselves feel better about doing stupid things, for the most part. Why do they even teach this in school? Still, it's a class [you suppose] so you should probably at least try to study.

After about thirty minutes of attempted studying, you find your eyelids growing heavy. It's not quite four yet, so maybe you can get a couple more hours of sleep in before your alarm goes off? Well, the rationalizing is kind of pointless, given your body is already going to sleep without much input from you.

You don't dream of the man in the happy mask when you go to sleep. Instead, there is a sea of numbers and formulas, schematics and ballistic trajectories. You sit at the center, and watch as the numbers flow around you.

There is a gun in your hand. Somehow, despite never having held a gun in your life, the weight is familiar and comforting. You lift the weapon up to look closer, and then an impulse has you breaking it down to it's component parts. Numbers swim, and you examine the gun. It's in good condition [how do you know that?] but not very powerful overall. [What?] If you were to adjust the propellant just a little bit-

You wake up, hands tearing at your philosophy textbook. Fortunately, it's not that mangled- The cover is twisted a little, is all. You set the book down and hit your alarm.

... Damnit. You need more coffee.
