Broken Pictures

Weird, some image posts are just showing up as that broken image icon with a file name, and after opening some images in their own tab I get a "Page could not be loaded. The requested page could not be loaded. Check your internet connection and try again" as well as some stuff about browser extensions, and QQ not being available/Try checking again later.
 
Also seeing broken pics and pic links, some of them my own. Notably, if I reply or edit an existing reply I can see both the gif I replied to and the gif I responded with perfectly fine, but the actual post just freezes up for a second and gives half a url. I dunno what's going on, but they were working fine yesterday and suddenly now they aren't, so something's odd.
Oh, since everyone's giving specs, I use a Galaxy S25 and Firefox with the only extension being Ublock Origin. Good luck with figuring this oddity out.

There also doesn't seem to be any particular site being singled out.

Old Twitter, Tumbler, Newer X, and various image board links have all been affected for me.
 
To add some data in hopes of helping...
Checked the OP link first all images visible. Then went and randomly opened several image threads and random pages on those to get different years of samples. everry single pic loaded without issue.

On a Huawei nova, using Firefox and ublockorigin extension.
 
Alright, the pictures seem to be working properly again after I did the following....

- Cleared my browser cache, cookies, and history.

- Reset my modem and WiFi router.

I'm not certain which one did it, but it seems to have gotten things working, at least for the moment.
 
I have also had this issue with images I've been posting as well as other random images in other threads. All affected images seem to be from the last week or so so I'm wondering if it has to do with the domain name change somehow.

Either way, I've had some success changing the links of images and uploading them again which allows me to see them but eventually they disappear again.
 
Huh, so it's not just me. My "What? -Manhattan Café" Image in the Reaction Images Thread got bork'd (it alongside all the others in that Post are from Reddit but it's the only one that has been FUBAR). I think the migration might've fucked some things. Also the Signature Image for Renko is bork'd for me. Noticed that five minutes ago which is why I came searching for a Thread like this one.

May just be a cache thing, I've never opened the linked thread before and all of the images worked fine for me, android firefox with ublock
 
All of the images of the story I posted broke today. They work fine on other sites I crossed posted it to like Ao3 or scribble hub and only seem to effect me on mac, since my iphone can render them fine

Clearing the browser history seems to be the answer since I did that when I looked at your post and got back all my images. Thanks!

dannydanz directed me here.

I cleared the last 7 days of browsing history and some of the pictures came back. not sure if clearing the whole history would be more effective.

will update if fixed pics become broken again.
 
For those of you that are android, you can usually longpress the browser app icon hit the info icon basically circle with an i in it, hit clear data qand VERY IMPORTANTLY, only hit clear cache.
Then also force stop and restart the browser app of your choice.
Fixes my mobile browser problems 99% of the time.
 
...I admit I'm curious if it will be discovered soon why some people have image issues...it's always kinda fascinating to see a seemingly random set of people affected by the same issue while others aren't affected....

Went on a scroll through the various image threads at random on my PC browser (Also firefox with Ublockorigin), stuff from at least 2019 all the way to today's images (mind, all random opened pages on random image threads) work perfectly fine
..considering others among the affected are also using firefox, and that I haven't cleared my cache on either pc or phone in....never, honestly, I'm now truly curious what seems to be the issue for folks...
 
Question for all of you having image issues: Were you using the questionablequesting.com domain or the proper forum.questionablequesting.com domain prior to the fix?

Forum. Always. Blame SB and SV for the habit of typing in "Forum.". Also makes access easier from just needing to Type "F" into the Search Bar and it auto-completes all three. If it weren't for the one Manhattan Café one I would think it's because the Images were from the non-Forum one and the integration did it but it's different Images between Phone and Computer but same Images on the Page or Signatures of the User everywhere but still different sets for the medium I'm viewing from. It's a damn weird problem and cache clearing both didn't work. Luckily outside the Signature Images it seems like it's only for Images from around the integration period? Both a week+ before and since it happened hasn't resulted in problems.
