The universe needs dragon orbs because people need wishes to correct past mistakes. But what if the past isn't a mistake -- what if everything lead you to this moment here and now for a specific reason? Not intellectually definable...but soulfully grasped. What if you are who you are so you can learn to see deeper and recognize better?

000 - Prologue​

The start of a new adventure: "infinity mode -- activate!" Everyone thought Ultimate Instinct was the peak ... no one realized that it was THE peak. That when you hit the highest node in existence time begins to flow in reverse -- why is that?

Because time can only be in existence, and when you move beyond existence -- Ultimate Instinct -- you simultaneously move beyond time. This is why it is the ultimate form, the mind moves before the body can register anything: perfect a-casual synchrony.

Except moving outside of time causes ripples in the space-time continuum, and when ripples form a wave coalesces, and when waves shake then the very foundation itself registers movement -- no longer still.

A still-less timestream self-regulates, and that return to cosmic homeostasis is called the birth of a new universe.

Enter MonkeyKarrot-san. Sent to Earth to be its conqueror EXCEPT he never hit his head. The protector of the earth is now an unclaimed title: reaching Ultimate Instinct has unforeseen consequences: welcome to Dragon Orbs to the Z ... an alternative universe in the making.

character list:​

MonkeyKarrot-san - a low level alien-ape warrior sent by the people of Shengo, a warrior planet. His Earth name is Sunyata but Pinchi affectionately calls him BasicSpace-kun because to her he's a bit of an airhead.

OishiYasai-san - the prince of the Shengo people, also a formidable warrior. Called Oishi-dono by his inferiors except by MonkeyKarrot-san who consistently beats him in combat.

Pappan - a bald-headed brute and Shengojin elite. He is lieutenant to the Lord Prince Oishi. Also considered a brothers-in-arms to the much younger Oishi as they have served on countless bloody campaigns together however he is always hierarchly under Oishi due to social status and the Prince's own achievements. Pappan has a cold heart from working out too much and reasons unknown.

RyuGuchi-kun - has a crush on MonkeyKarrot, also called RyuRyu for short. She is very salacious, and though she denies it she is into the badboy type. She is a bit of an adventurer, always solo-traveling and trekking out into the dinosaur wilderness by herself with one bag only. She frequently visits martial arts tournaments.

Pinchi-san - also sometimes called YogaPants-kun by RyuRyu because she's always wearing tight fitness apparel. Has a mega-rich absentee father from another country named Heinrich Straps. She is a business prodigy, everything she touches turns to gold and every venture she starts is somehow successful. She genuinely thinks this level of success is normal for everyone and doesn't understand the common struggle.

Gobo-sama - an upstart self-made general. Generals are usually directly appointed by the king. Gobo is the first general to be appointed by the Table-of-Generals. He is also father to MonkeyKarrot though he has not seen his son since infancy, therefore it is more of a title than actual emotional bond.

Mazarada-dono - the sole legitimate heir and Tenno of the Shengo Planet. It was Mazarada-dono's grandfather Matsuda-dono that started the current dynasty when he was raised to the rank of Gensui-Daisho. The royal emblem includes a pinecone. Oishi-dono is a legitimate heir and son of Mazarada-dono.

army ranks:​

shengojin army ranks are always divided into three hierarchies in each category: a senior (dai), the middle (chu), and a junior (sho).

the royal family supersedes military rank and is therefore excluded from this division.

there are four categories in the Shengojin army:
sho is the general or commander (daisho, chusho, shosho).

karo is the regional lord or captain (daikaro, chukaro, shokaro),

bushi is an elite or lieutenant (daibushi, chubushi, shobushi),

ashigaru are always the foot soldier (dai-ashigaru), (chu-ashigaru), (sho-ashigaru)

social hierarchy:​

the Tenno (emperor or king-magistrate) is the sole ruling head of the now colonized Shengo Planet.

the sho (generals) as a category are the "juniors" that support and enable the King's rulings. They are technically the highest military rank. The king supersedes them in all matters but king is not a military rank.

the only rank higher than sho (general) is the gensui-daisho. Oishi-dono's great-grandfather which established the current monarchy line was the only gensui-daisho.

the Table-of-Generals is the King's informal advising council and the military ruling body of the Shengojin army. The Table is composed solely of Daisho's.

skills list:
ki blast - a concentrated energy wave that is collated to the point of being physically visible to the naked eye, appears as a loose ball or loose energy blast.

ki wave - a dispersed accumulation of (unseen) energy. Technically ki-waves are "unconcentrated" ki but since it is maneuvered by warriors it would not be wrong to call it a form of ki concentration. Ki waves, also called ki-air or ki-force appears as concentrated wavy air to warriors and those of superior martial art's acumen. Ordinary individuals cannot detect ki in its concentrated form (ki blast) or unconcentrated form as wavy air but can still detect the heat of ki-blasts and feel the pressure or gravity of ki-air.

"starting flash!" - Oishi-dono's signature move. A rapid accumulation of ki blast energy that is dangerous to attempt except for the most discipled of warriors. Because ki is always filtered and permeated by the body, signature energetic moves are an idiosyncratic expression based on the individual wielding them. Each and every physical body is a unique composition which colors the energetic structure and physical expression of the signature move.

rocket-ki-kick: a martial artist technique. a normal full body extended kick launched with momentum ignited using ki. the increased propulsion scales the intensity and strength of the kick by several magnitudes, beyond ordinary levels able to be sustained by non-martial artist individuals.

Spoiler: ape go angry

saru-form: is technically an evolutionary regression from the phenotypic standpoint though the physical power drastically increases at the expense of a diminution of consciousness. A shengojin warrior regresses to their earlier alien-ape form that the Shengojin species embodied in previous lifetimes. The form contains the might of a superpowered mega-giant guerilla, and the energy-beam breath of a wingless mega-giant lizard-dragon that rises up out of the ocean. Essentially an alien-ape kaiju that is hellbent on pure destruction.

saru-form genuses: a genus is a family group within a species. the alien-ape saru form has several genuses based on ancient evolutionary adaptations structured around social hierarchy. there is the leader-group genus, the junior protector genus that clusters around the leaders, the nomadic food gathers (low level workers) genus, and anomaly genus. each family group has its own phenotypic expression, abilities, and power level.

(general comment)

Hello, I wanted to briefly introduce myself and what's going on with regard to the story.

I'm currently traveling abroad in Japan and started writing again. I saw someone online comment how they knew someone making $$$ writing fanfiction smut of popular anime ... so my monkey brain decided to try that too. I was quickly told that nsfw content and fanfiction can't be monetized. But by that point I had started writing again, getting the ol' creative engine going again, so too late... so far it's mostly fighting scenes -- and I'm having a (ki) blast writing them ... sorry.

After consulting ChatGPT Esquire it seems an original work can lean on broad ideas which makes it not a derivative work. So I'm going to go in that direction and write my own story.

As the prologue hopefully conveyed to you ... what if the good guy wasn't good? What if the prude wife was a horny minx? Et cetera.

I do want to channel the spirit of me alongside one of our favorite childhood TV shows ... in novel form. So here goes nothing. I'm not sure if it will make for a good story but I'm excited to try.

I'm really excited to get to the summoning the dragon scene and getting to the kia's, so I think that's healthy from a creative standpoint.

Anyway, I'm also keeping a travel photo video log on patreon so if you want to explore Japan with me you're invited to do so, in addition to the standard early access of the story itself.

Also final thing I want to mention is that I'm writing everything so far by phone with the swipe keyboard with my fat stubby fingers and it's all incredibly slow going and a P.I.A. so if you find the chapter lengths insufficient. Sorry, but know I'm working really hard on this stuff. Several of my chapters combined is probably an ordinary singular chapter for most people.

001 - what in Manek's great ghost​

"Dammit Oishi! I know you were flirting with RyuRyu again!! Hands off – she's mine!"

The Shengo Prince scoffed at the open display of impudence: "You're getting very brazen for a lowly shengojin warrior."

A shade of thin shadows veiled themselves over MonkeyKarrot's eyes as a lifetime of struggle and anger poured to the surface of consciousness: adrenaline began to secrete through his alien-ape shengojin body.

Oishi the Shengo Prince took the confrontation head-on: "bring it on you little grease monkey! You should be oiling the vents of my space pod!"

Ki-blasts fired from Oishi-dono's hands, inside the small stone hut, at MonkeyKarrot-san. One of the nearby walls exploded from the sheer gravimetric pressure of ki concentrated so rapidly into minute forms.

"Arrghh," emanated from the other room. It was none other than the chu-bushi (lieutenant) bald-headed Pappan.

"What in Manek's great ghost is going on in there!!"

"Mind your own business old man," Oishi shouted back through the hole in the wall. The response was abruptly greeted with a large un-concentrated ki wave that shot back from Pappan's location toward MonkeyKarrot and Oishi-dono in the first room.

MonkeyKarrot-san dodged the incoming debris with his raw bare hand, using precise timing rivaling that of an atomic clock to catch and hurl in adjacent directions flying chunks of wall rock moving directly at him. The technique was an unintentional display of his mastered physical prowess. Reorienting angular momentum without absorbing any of its kinetic energy was always both, to him, an inwardly fun game and serious test with immediate consequences.

Oishi-dono, in contrast, ejected an upward blast of unconcentrated ki vertically into the air creating a temporary barrier that absorbed the flying rocks moving his way directly in front of him.

[note: concentrated ki is classical ki-energy blast. unconcentrated ki (though regulated and used) is traditional "air waves" or semi-transparent "force energy".]

Pappan crawled out of the other room through the now enlarged hole in the wall. The ki-blasts floating in both directions had effectively doubled its size.

The inner warrior nature of the brute Pappan began to awaken and be excited by the smell of aggression in the air … yet it quickly grew tempered now in the visible display of shengojin royalty.

He began searching for propriety, now in the face of his young master … "Prince Oishi-dono … it is unbecoming of the first heir of the Shengo Planet to act in such a manner … What would your father the Lord King–"

A swift movement in the air.

A smack in the face.

"How dare you presume to tell ME how to behave! You oversized baboon!"

Pappan's face carried a red hand print that bore the mark of the Shengo Prince.

"Lord Oishi…"

Startled, frightened, inwardly angry, yet not surprised.

The truth was Pappan's original words were as hollow as the hole-shaped portions of the holes in the wall. He had not meant a single word of his earlier comment to Oishi-dono.

He knew the Prince had a temper. He knew the Shengojin warrior was a formable warrior though young in age … and thus, as only ranked that of a chu-bushi, he often spoke in empty meter-less words in Oishi's presence.

MonkeyKarrot-san, a shengojin that grew up in the wild dinosaur lands of Earthine, did not care for such open displays of submission to social hierarchy.

"AaaaaaaHhhhh," he lunged at Oishi-dono, MonkeyKarrot-san still in visible rage and full of darkness.

Pappan caught the interceding fist mid-air with motionless expression, only to receive a chest stomp by MonkeyKarrot-san's foot directly in the center of his chest. The lieutenant brute went flying out of the small thin-walled stone hut at drastic speed.

"Damn you, you filthy worm!" Oishi-dono remarked.

To kick such a brute so effortlessly out of the hut was as impressive as Oishi-dono's martial art accomplishments at such a young age and Pappan's own giant-esque sized physique.

Though MonkeyKarrot-san had not spent a waking moment in the Shengo homeland, he carried the warrior spirit deep in his heart: that is, one who carries the self-possessed joy of one who is self-possessed.

MonkeyKarrot's alien ape tail kicked around feverishly in the background.

"That's it!" Oishi's invisible aura – imperceptible all but to the kai's – grew dark red with rage.

His main hand shot up horizontally aligned at MonkeyKarrot-san's body: "I'm going to erase you out of existence!"

"... We don't need you to collect all 7 of the Dragon Teardrop Orbs!" (Commonly called dragon tears, dragon orbs, or dragon teardrops.)

Oishi-dono's non-main hand grabbed the wrist space behind his main hand, effectively stabilizing it and rendering it into what can only be accurately described as a ki-cannon. The ki-cannon posture – a dangerous move if executed incorrectly — having the effect of increasing ki channeling at a frighteningly rate, accelerating ki-accumulation and ki-output to levels beyond that of even ordinary martial artists.

A dark purple glow appeared in the open palm of Oishi's cannon hand, coalescing in form, deepening in color, and ready to abruptly fire.

"STARTING FLAS–"

A hard punch landed in the face of Oishi-dono that might have otherwise killed a Earthian or fractured the nose of a non-elite shengojin warrior.

"Ugghhh," an unwilling grunt.

It was to Oishi's credit, that is, his superior ki-control and beyond average combat power that even while taking a raw power fist to the face he managed to stabilize the flow of ki-accumulation in the lower part of his body, preventing a cascade of a series of unfortunate ki-unretention events.

The Shengo Prince went violently flying out of the small stone hut from MonkeyKarrot's punch. Half of the hut's stone facade now entirely collapsed from all the energetic commotion.

MonkeyKarrat launched like a rocket out after him.

"RyuRyu is my girl! That means for me!!"

Oishi-dono flew uncontrollably through the air. MonkeyKarrot-san, in the distance, began vehemently pumping out concentrated ki-blasts at an ever increasing rate.

"YaYaYaYaYaYaYaaaa"

Only for Pappan to appear at lightning-paced speed behind MonkeyKarrot-san out of nowhere: "Oh no, you don't."

The brute opened his arms wide and grabbed MonkeyKarrot into a reverse bear hug from behind the angered combatant.

MonkeyKarrot quickly began to match his new opponent's orientation, only for Oishi-dono to appear in front of MonkeyKarrot's original position.

The rapid changes in guard position for MonkeyKarrot quickly destabilized his points-of-contact and points-of-guard creating a martial artist opening that resulted in a very strong-swift kick in the balls by the Prince of all Shengojin Oishi-dono.

MonkeyKarrot loudly groaned.

While in involuntary reflex, Pappan quickly grabbed MonkeyKarrot's rapidly moving tail and bent it into submission – this was the true kick in the balls for a Shengojin ape warrior.

MonkeyKarrot-san's diaphragm began to convulse and seize, creating an outpouring of air coughs; Oishi-dono brought an open hand right under MonkeyKarrot's jaw and fired an intensely concentrated ki blast.

MonkeyKarrot fell unconscious.

Pappan threw the unconscious MonkeyKarrot-san over his shoulder and flew back with the unconscious opponent like carrying a large sack of potatoes to the crumbled stone hut.

The Shengojin Prince gaining speed until they flew in parallel pace, commented to his chu-bushi: "Let's kill him! I have had enough of these rage outbursts."

Adrenaline still coursing in the veins of all three alien ape warriors.

Pappan's facial expression gave away nothing, his outward expression remained completely motionless like his heartless heart.
