Synopsis:

The universe needs dragon orbs because people need wishes to correct past mistakes. But what if the past isn't a mistake -- what if everything lead you to this moment here and now for a specific reason? Not intellectually definable...but soulfully grasped. What if you are who you are so you can learn to see deeper and recognize better?

000 - Prologue

The start of a new adventure: "infinity mode -- activate!" Everyone thought Ultimate Instinct was the peak ... no one realized that it was THE peak. That when you hit the highest node in existence time begins to flow in reverse -- why is that?

Because time can only be in existence, and when you move beyond existence -- Ultimate Instinct -- you simultaneously move beyond time. This is why it is the ultimate form, the mind moves before the body can register anything: perfect a-casual synchrony.

Except moving outside of time causes ripples in the space-time continuum, and when ripples form a wave coalesces, and when waves shake then the very foundation itself registers movement -- no longer still.

A still-less timestream self-regulates, and that return to cosmic homeostasis is called the birth of a new universe.

Enter MonkeyKarrot-san. Sent to Earth to be its conqueror EXCEPT he never hit his head. The protector of the earth is now an unclaimed title: reaching Ultimate Instinct has unforeseen consequences: welcome to Dragon Orbs to the Z ... an alternative universe in the making.

character list:
MonkeyKarrot-san - a low level alien-ape warrior sent by the people of Shengo, a warrior planet. His Earth name is Sunyata but Pinchi affectionately calls him BasicSpace-kun because to her he's a bit of an airhead.

OishiYasai-san - the prince of the Shengo people, also a formidable warrior. Called Oishi-dono by his inferiors except by MonkeyKarrot-san who consistently beats him in combat.

Pappan - a bald-headed brute and Shengojin elite. He is lieutenant to the Lord Prince Oishi. Also considered a brothers-in-arms to the much younger Oishi as they have served on countless bloody campaigns together however he is always hierarchly under Oishi due to social status and the Prince's own achievements. Pappan has a cold heart from working out too much and reasons unknown.

RyuGuchi-kun - has a crush on MonkeyKarrot, also called RyuRyu for short. She is very salacious, and though she denies it she is into the badboy type. She is a bit of an adventurer, always solo-traveling and trekking out into the dinosaur wilderness by herself with one bag only. She frequently visits martial arts tournaments.

Pinchi-san - also sometimes called YogaPants-kun by RyuRyu because she's always wearing tight fitness apparel. Has a mega-rich absentee father from another country named Heinrich Straps. She is a business prodigy, everything she touches turns to gold and every venture she starts is somehow successful. She genuinely thinks this level of success is normal for everyone and doesn't understand the common struggle.

Gobo-sama - an upstart self-made general. Generals are usually directly appointed by the king. Gobo is the first general to be appointed by the Table-of-Generals. He is also father to MonkeyKarrot though he has not seen his son since infancy, therefore it is more of a title than actual emotional bond.

Mazarada-dono - the sole legitimate heir and Tenno of the Shengo Planet. It was Mazarada-dono's grandfather Matsuda-dono that started the current dynasty when he was raised to the rank of Gensui-Daisho. The royal emblem includes a pinecone. Oishi-dono is a legitimate heir and son of Mazarada-dono.

army ranks:
shengojin army ranks are always divided into three hierarchies in each category: a senior (dai), the middle (chu), and a junior (sho).

the royal family supersedes military rank and is therefore excluded from this division.

there are four categories in the Shengojin army:
sho is the general or commander (daisho, chusho, shosho).

karo is the regional lord or captain (daikaro, chukaro, shokaro),

bushi is an elite or lieutenant (daibushi, chubushi, shobushi),

ashigaru are always the foot soldier (dai-ashigaru), (chu-ashigaru), (sho-ashigaru)

social hierarchy:
the Tenno (emperor or king-magistrate) is the sole ruling head of the now colonized Shengo Planet.

the sho (generals) as a category are the "juniors" that support and enable the King's rulings. They are technically the highest military rank. The king supersedes them in all matters but king is not a military rank.

the only rank higher than sho (general) is the gensui-daisho. Oishi-dono's great-grandfather which established the current monarchy line was the only gensui-daisho.

the Table-of-Generals is the King's informal advising council and the military ruling body of the Shengojin army. The Table is composed solely of Daisho's.

skills list:
ki blast - a concentrated energy wave that is collated to the point of being physically visible to the naked eye, appears as a loose ball or loose energy blast.

ki wave - a dispersed accumulation of (unseen) energy. Technically ki-waves are "unconcentrated" ki but since it is maneuvered by warriors it would not be wrong to call it a form of ki concentration. Ki waves, also called ki-air or ki-force appears as concentrated wavy air to warriors and those of superior martial art's acumen. Ordinary individuals cannot detect ki in its concentrated form (ki blast) or unconcentrated form as wavy air but can still detect the heat of ki-blasts and feel the pressure or gravity of ki-air.

"starting flash!" - Oishi-dono's signature move. A rapid accumulation of ki blast energy that is dangerous to attempt except for the most discipled of warriors. Because ki is always filtered and permeated by the body, signature energetic moves are an idiosyncratic expression based on the individual wielding them. Each and every physical body is a unique composition which colors the energetic structure and physical expression of the signature move.

rocket-ki-kick: a martial artist technique. a normal full body extended kick launched with momentum ignited using ki. the increased propulsion scales the intensity and strength of the kick by several magnitudes, beyond ordinary levels able to be sustained by non-martial artist individuals.

Spoiler: ape go angry

saru-form: is technically an evolutionary regression from the phenotypic standpoint though the physical power drastically increases at the expense of a diminution of consciousness. A shengojin warrior regresses to their earlier alien-ape form that the Shengojin species embodied in previous lifetimes. The form contains the might of a superpowered mega-giant guerilla, and the energy-beam breath of a wingless mega-giant lizard-dragon that rises up out of the ocean. Essentially an alien-ape kaiju that is hellbent on pure destruction.

saru-form genuses: a genus is a family group within a species. the alien-ape saru form has several genuses based on ancient evolutionary adaptations structured around social hierarchy. there is the leader-group genus, the junior protector genus that clusters around the leaders, the nomadic food gathers (low level workers) genus, and anomaly genus. each family group has its own phenotypic expression, abilities, and power level.
