Difference is that these are AP sinks that we already have to deal with. Adding more AP sinks on top of those pre-existing ones just make it more likely that we'll fuck something up due to having to spread ourselves even further than we already are.

The solution to an over-capacity vehicle, or elevator, or whatever is not to put it even further over-capacity.

She could also do that in the real world, or just become something worse.

I am aware of that. But many people in the thread are acting like sending her to the Mirror World is the opposite of "Twilight succumbing to the Wolf" when imo, it's either just as likely if not more-so to lead her down that dark path.

Mhm- I don't believe "Student of Canterlot High" is her final title.

Seems lackluster for someone who's the reflection of the Element of Magic. I think it's quite likely that it would evolve into something else given her being able to flourish. She's only a student right now because that's all she's had the opportunity to be, in a world with only dregs of Lore/Magic present.

Maybe this would sound dumb maybe the "Element of Lore" I don't know if that would even be right or work. Plus if anybody was that title it would be Velvet .

I wouldn't completely write off mirror!Twi's potential just because of her current title.

There is no "offering" here. Only enforcing our will on a trauma victim by kidnapping her and chucking her into a foreign and alien world without so much as a "hello" or a warning in order to feed our savior complex. If we were actually offering, and Twilight accepted, I would be a lot more okay with the swap, but we're not.

This isn't even a moral choice! There is no actual consideration for Equestria Twilight here. Because if there was, we wouldn't be doing this without actually talking to both Twilights (which Velvet refuses to do, because again, nothing about this choice is actually about Real Twilight in Velvet's mind). This is ignoring all of the many, many reasons why throwing someone suffering from extreme depression into a world that fundamentally cannot acknowledge what happened to her as true, into a completely alien body, surrounded by strangers wearing the faces of people she knows could backfire horribly, with only a vague wishy-washy handwaving to weight in favor of it improving her mental health.

Case in point. To which I say: so? Harmony hasn't exactly demonstrated much ability to stop depression just by passively existing. The Wake has also been Harmony fueled for over a thousand years, and bad shit still happened all the time.

Also, we don't even know if the Mirror World is Harmony-fueled. We know that you can see it from there, but we know literally nothing about who actually made that dream and why the hell a massively powerful Lore artifact like Frangiclave was in there.

I'm frustrated that people seem happy to completely ignore many of the implications and problems regarding sending Twilight to the Mirror World just bcuz of "but Harmony!", and so I will continue to reiterate the issues I see until the vote closes.

Perhaps I should have phrased myself differently there. It is a moral choice, in that morals are involved. I do not consider it a moral choice in that I do not consider sending Twilight to the Mirror World an ethical thing to do, because of how it is being performed (i.e. just throwing her in there without her consent or... any kind of two-way communication, really).

Edit: Like I said before if Velvet actually, y'know, went to Twilight and offered her the ability to switch and she accepted, then sure. Whatever. Switch them all you like. But as it is, we're just kidnapping her and throwing her into another world, seemingly without any actual in-character regard for what that would mean for Equestria Twilight, because Velvet is too busy fixating on Mirror Twilight.

Every time Twilight comes up, this quest gets cursed. I wish we could have just focused on DoA and all the cool alternate reality stuff going on around us.

The worst part is, if the Twilight option wins, we'll be dealing with these arguments for longer than just this vote. We really need to focus on All-In. We're already super spread thin as it is. If we're willing to give up a Biedde action just for a single Velvet action, I really don't think a new Confidante is worth it, no matter who it is.

So…your idea of "help" is to kidnap her, throw her into another world, and hope it fixes the problem. A Velvet who seems to be projecting on human Twilight. A Velvet who is arguably too emotionally invested to make rational decisions under the circumstances. I don't know that not doing that is cowardice, but okay.

I mean if you just want another Twilight, that's fine, and I legitimately don't mean that sarcastically. People enjoy reading about characters they like, fair enough. If you think this will help her, that's fine as well.
Considering Velvet's track record with Twilight though I think it's just as likely this one gets broken too. With everything that's happened I don't think Velvet is the best person to be making decisions on this subject.

I'm not ignoring it, aside from not accentuating the negatives and emphasizing the "potential" positives of the opposite option, i just don't care at this stage, we might as well end cut the thread here an now.

And we have alredy done things because of "But Wolves!" and "But Lores!" and "But Bits!" and "But AP!" and "But Socials!", this isn't different, we all have ignored the negatives in previous options that we wanted to win, sometimes it went well, othertimes we get Master jumpscare, among other things.

If we're willing to give up a Biedde action just for a single Velvet action, I really don't think a new Confidante is worth it, no matter who it is.

You just described what they are doing so it shouldn't be that surprising, but I understand being annoyed when people disregard your opinion using their opinions as the absolute truth.

What they want isn't Twilight, not really, but they spent the actions so now they have to get something out of it and would you look at that there is a Twilight right there.

Not in this case, at least from my perspective. If we need to spend even a single action getting Twilight up to speed, that's already a major waste in my book. If we're giving up a Name's action for one of Velvet's, bringing Twilight on isn't worth the investment that'd require.

Yeah, as i said before, we decided to search for Human Twilight in some vain hope for something positive, and now we have the Trolley problem, we can't take responsability with Pony Twilight so we should atleast do so with Human Twilight.

I voted for Twilight option because I put my hopes on light of Harmony helping Twilight *somehow*. But I got convinced that helping human Twilight acclimate to our world and become useful will just take too many APs. We are so close to the end, we should just focus on it. We can help everyone else after.

How can you see the current tally without one being posted, I know how to look on SV, but QQ is a bit different in its layout. Far as I was aware from the one just done there was a two vote diff? Then one after that last vote.
