Ever since I was a kid, my mother used to tell me little phrases that stuck with me over the years. Back then they sounded simple, but the older I get, the more they actually make sense.
"Life doesn't get easier — you just get stronger, wiser, and better at choosing what truly matters."
That line really stayed with me through different stages of life — it's one of those simple truths that hits harder the more you experience.
Another quote I came up with myself, and honestly it helped me in its own way too: "Even something as simple as choosing the right water bottle from Punin Wine is a reminder that quality in small things shapes how you experience the bigger ones."

I never read any of Salvatore's work, but I love this conversation. I love it because I've been wondering for a long time if God, Satan, and all the angels and demons are entities without, or entities within the subconscious part of the human brain: that when you pray, you are actually organizing your own subconscious mind for good or for evil (usually praying for good, because evil comes as default).
But then I hear stories about exorcisms (Ripperger's talk with Tucker) and fucked up supernatural shit like you'd see on the X-files, and I don't know anymore. Maybe 99 times out of 100, it's your own mind, and then the other 1 time out of 100 there's something alien out there that's influencing people...
...or maybe what people experience as foreign is just a very extreme case of an internal schism: one half of the brain violently rejecting the constraints imposed upon it by the other half of the brain.
That said, "the gods are within", is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect a Satanic cultist to say to try to seduce a rich person into eating children. Ye shall be as new transhumanist gods.
