What's more fun is the split second bit of cognitive dissonance I got when I first actually read War of the Worlds and a background character was described as "emerging from his home ejaculating his confusion wildly". For just a moment there I forgot the other definition of the word and thought HG Wells was taking a BIG swerve in the book that the movie and radio play had skipped.
