I spent that scene looking at it going "He is surprised the paddle had silver on it when they used silver weapons before?"

The Human using silver is honestly the only way that it can be a fair fight and expecting otherwise makes him look like an idiot.
Exactly! Even the uneducated would think 'Werewolf... better bring some silver."

It generally feels like the writers Needed him to go into a rage and went "Oh he is surprised by silver" without thinking about the fact that silver was already in the fight, he should be able to see the silver, and have felt it from any of her hits.

Meaning because they wanted A Moment they had to make him braindead because they couldn't think about it any deeper and wanted him to be surprised rather than just having a rage out moment that Garou are known to do.

A little of both?

They were not too happy with me not liking Stig and they kinda gave me the side eye for my criticizing Kitten and the way he talked to Grimal.

Combine that with the fanfic thread being dead I just... got the feel that not toeing the line would get me into hot water.

Same with Fire Emblem tbh.

So I think it's a SB thing overall.

Make no mistake there are a metric ton of good folk over there. But... sometimes it's better to just keep my opinions to myself, even if I'm trying to act in good faith.
Oh share your critique of kitten I want to know more.

Also for Grimal I suspect a lot of the hate on her is likely yaoi fans who dislike her for being around Marckus and Kitten

Edit

I do suspect she might be influenced by changelings if she isn't involved with vamps

It's been a while so I might miss a few(a lot) details but it's kinda like this. It felt like he minimized his role in her pain. Even in a way saying that it wasn't fair to put that on him.

He kept... turning her words back on her. He didn't own any of it. So what if she was deathly afraid that one of the two people she loved most might hate her (I don't think he ever denied that he did) she has other friends!

I don't remember the exact words... but it truly felt like he was gaslighting her. ( I could look the episode up again but I'm already really emotionally spent today.)

His accusation that she wanted to help Marcus out of selfish motives, (think he accused her of using the situation to get back in his good graces) was so out of line that I probably would have decked him.

Edit:

Oh god... It's Gundam Wing all over again!

I think they made mistakes with the werewolf hunt because they needed the plot to work I still love it though.

While I do like the wolf plot in general, I think they blew their load too early. Maybe one more hunt against a vamp. Some time with the Arcanum and 'Matilda'

Then get things rolling.

I will admit... that when it came to my snippets... I wanted to write a confrontation between Renna (the name the Fledgling uses in the snippets) and Stig. The idea of a heroic, high humanity Vampire fighting Stig for no other reason than to save lives and moral outrage...

I thought it might be a interesting twist and a productive way to process my feelings.

Part of why I asked about the power scaling was I wanted to know if it was possible. I still kinda want to write it but I also don't... it's a weird feeling.

Question I'm not sure was answered here. Did ANYONE bring any silver to that fight at all besides Grimal and Kitten? With their crappy melee weapons? The inquisition lads has rifles but the bullets did jackshit to Stig? Also, wasnt the silver from Kitten's bayonet shrugged off REAL easy?

It's iffy if the Inquisition boys brought silver. SB just excused Stig's Rage as 'failing the dice role that time.'
