Seems more like a Mugwuffin thing. Mugwuffin is all but stated to be some kind of Force sensitive animal, if not fully sapient. I think Mugwuffin is the one reading emotions and then putting the info inside Las' brains.

It's probably got to sting people's pride that the governor (yk, the chronically overworked guy) had enough time to not only play the game but to "git gud" while the others were complaining aye? Then again it could be seen as his (subconcious) overachieving bleeding into his free time

Wait, he's feeling people's emotions, not just the "cat?" So, he's becoming Force sensitive then? Or is his "pet" delivering Force vibes directly into his brain ball? There are a number of ways to become Force sensitive aside from being born such, but I haven't seen him pursuing any such avenues.

I would love for the ghost crew to try that only to be caught red handed since all the standard ports are actually traps that alert the guards and the real ones require an in house built adapter for astromechs to access the base's systems through custom ports

That is an amazing idea, it would be really impractical with he grows bigger than a few systems, but for now, very effective

Not quite a vehicle but I think a shield droid could be a godsend for Stormtroopers, or even power armor.

I'm thinking specifically of the game-only S19 Astromech which could be modified to fly and provide a shield sized to cover a single adventuring party. Having a little shield generator on repulsorlifts following each squad and throwing down shields at critical points like corners or likely ambush spots could help survivability a lot. Imagine if a squad needs to set up an E-Web and spends thirty seconds or so assembling the thing while under fire, compard to having a little bubble shield going up to provide them that time safely.

Force help any Rebel group tries to pressure Darna for more support. They'll find out just how hard she is going to defend her new position. Especially if it is to the detriment of the Mindan people. Darna's pretty much gone fully native at this point.

So either nearly dying and having a strong force sensitive creature guarding you near 24/7 made Las a force sensitive person or Mugwuffin is capable of sharing her abilities with her bonded partner as force bond is a thing.
