It's been tried before. See the French Revolution. The Bolshevik Revolution. See various Banana Republics. Usually ends up with the people in charge of the most guns getting the money and house. Then everyone else starts looking at who has resources, ie each other, and decide to stick to their so far successful tactics, see Maximillian Robespierre, Lev Kamenev, Chiang Kai-shek, etc. Of course you could try to remove the conditions that allowed the wealth in the first place although this is of dubious efficacy, see Chinese Cultural Revolution, The Soviet Collectivization, the more recent version in Cambodia.

Great thing to say when you're lower class, but it discourages success. If your economy actively shits on the wealthy, then nobody will want to aspire to wealth since they'll be shat on.

There are a great deal more poor then there are the wealthy, due to how wealth works. No suffering is ideal, but unfeasible. So I opt to force it onto the fewest amount of people I can. So rich people it is.

Too bad that hurting the top will make them want to tighten the belt and cut their losses, they'll close down businesses, they'll outsource to cheaper locations, they'll even move out of the country. And all those middle class people go down to lower class since they have no one to employ them. Socialism doesn't work. It's never worked.

If they try and close their businesses or leave the country you break their knee caps. Make them sufficiently afraid, and give them no way out, and they will comply.

Sure it does look at (West) Germany, Scandinavia, France. The United states during World War 2, None of them are perfect , but fleeing rich people is not the issue. "Socialism" works just fine. Dictatorships and Communism have problems, but this whole if we aren't super nice to the rich they will leave is nonsense, and not the problem with centralized economies. Like that is not why the USSR fell. Not at all.

They'll close their businesses mate. They're major drivers in the economy and they fucking know it, you'll literally have entire companies on strike.

I honestly don't think either of you know how people work. 9 times out of 10 Socialism does not work. Just look at the socialist countries of today, there's no fucking food and their plan is to throw more money at the problem by instituting high tech finger print scanners rather than trying to fix the fucking food shortages.

Sane person here.

Raise taxes on the rich somewhat and sure they'll complain but they won't get pissed off. Take their money and wealth from them and they'll get pissed off massively.

On another topic, the way things are now they'd take the box from the kid in the middle and give it to the short kid instead of taking it from the adult. Because the rich are in charge of the economy, and poor people in America can afford to go to college while I, despite having more money then them, quite simply can't despite us having the same potential income after college.

The Rich people are unchanged, the middle class people can't see shit, and the poor people are happy because helping the poor is good for the rich people's image.
