If you were paid $1,000,000 in exchange for being able to only play 5 different video games for the rest of your life, which ones would you pick?

Elder scrolls 4 Oblivion remastered
Ys Lacrimosa of Dana
Pokémon Scarlet
Tears of the kingdom
Subnautica

Ultimate DOOM
Factorio Space Age
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Wog
Dune 2
Lakers vs Celtics '89

Oblivion remastered
Skyrim
Mass Effect Legendary edition
TOTK
BG3

All must have Infinite mods available with complete compatibility together.

Minecraft.
Rimworld.
Starsector
COD
Project Zomboid.

4 of those are mod heavy games, shit I can't even touch Rimworld without at least 20-30 QOL mods, 2-3 performance enhancing mods, and 2-4 graphical update mods. Let alone the 100+ other mods I have installed.

Starsector? Less mod heavy, but easily able to put another 1000 hours in the game before i get bored
Minecraft? already have like 10k hours in the game from the time I was 12 to now, and it's one of the most modifiable and fun games ever made.
Project Zomboid because zombies.
COD because sometimes I just want to shoot a bitch.

L4D2
Darktide
Inquisition Martyr
Completed UCGO
Dynasty Gundam Warrior 3

That's easy to answer, five games I would gladly play: Crimson Desert, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Minecraft.

Has to be MMOs, MMorpgs, or multiplayer games.

I'd chose Runescape, WOW, Closers Online, Age of Mythology, and Warframe.

This is assuming they don't shut down and content is regularly released. There's only so much you can do with five single player games for the next 60-80 years of life (80 if you're lucky to live to 100 or so).

Old School Runescape, Baldur's Gate III, Kerbal Space Program, Elite: Dangerous, and Stellaris.

I get intense performance anxiety playing Baldur's Gate III---I've heard it described as XCOM with free movement---so I'd appreciate being forced to explore every nook and cranny in that game. But even with a million bucks, I'd miss being able to play the next generation's Undertales and Expedition 33s.

I don't game that much, but replayability would be the draw for me.

No Man's Sky
Starfield
Minecraft
Marathon
EVE Online

Replayability is key: Skyrim (Mods), CK3 (Mods), HOI4 (Mods), OSRS, Elden Ring.

I'd pick something with huge replay value, indefinite scaling, ongoing support / multiplayer.
I can pick 2 right now and would safe the other two for future releases.

AoE 2 (decent player base for an RTS that's already clocking 20+ years and the support is also ok; more playable countries were added in another dlc recently, I'd pick this over SC2 or Warcraft 3)
The Witcher 3 (assuming Gwent is included) or either a numbers go up = better kinda game like "Heroes of Hammerwatch" or "Geometry Arena".
For anything more i'd have to do more research and wait 2 more decades to see what has been released in the mean time.
And anyway with a million I'd first be busy with the money, properly managing it and planning vacations e.g skiing in the winter, surfing in the summer. At first there wont be much time or interest in games I think.
Even if you take the million and buy US bonds or something on 4.5% interest thats 45k a year, with minimal effort.

Solid picks, especially AoE2 - that game just won't die 😄 Witcher 3 is basically endless value too if you include Gwent + DLC.

If it were me, I'd probably go with Lineage 2, The Witcher 3, Heroes of Might & Magic 3, It Takes Two, and NFS Underground 2. Pure nostalgia + replay value combo.
