Is translation of your own work into French allowed?

So the rules only explicitly prohibit translating others works. But I was thinking of translating my fic (originally in English) into French.

A few points I could use clarification on:
1) It seems like this would be entirely allowed per the rules.
2) It also seems like this is primarily an English forum and it wouldn't necessary get any traction. (I couldn't find any foreign language tags when I was searching. Rewrite/translation exists, but has no hits in creative writing.)
2.5) If I wanted to proceed anyway, would it be viewed harmlessly or as meaningless spam?

Although the ones with final say would be @alethiophile @ultima333 I don't think this will be accepted for the following reasons.

So to points 1 and 2 while we don't have a section for it in the rules I know we have a "The language of the forum is English" posted somewhere, it is the language everyone on staff understands and expects to be used.

As for 2.5 moderators would probably send you a message to the effect "the language of the board is english, please use it" the first time… repeated instances would not go over well.
