Multimedia Crossover Fanfic Sandbox Ideas, Recs, and Discussion

Before I go on with my own personal example, I'd like to introduce the idea that serves this thread.

This thread is for people who want to see characters and locations from various fictional verses thrown into a newly made verse with their own conditions, its mostly so people could share more of their knowledge, understanding and different perspectives on a media and what possible interactions could be within these new worlds they set up for.

My example: The Collectiverse

The origins begin with a person who all his life hated reality because it demands striving which usually resulted in him losing his struggles and having no one care about him because of his lack of achievements, so the person always wanted to escape so much that after wasting their lives when they died they got what they wanted, they became a God.

They wanted to make a world with all the fictional characters they knew and cared about, they would all be pulled from their world and wake up to find themselves in this new universe, our God gets really bored and wants to be part of this universe, matter of fact, he wants to be its main hero who overcomes the odds and knows no compromise that outweighs his achievement.

The problem is... He has no idea on how to write the story and characters, in his past life he was such a failure that even through writing fiction he couldn't escape because blah blah blah something about "media literacy" and "snarky millennial self-proclaimed professional experts" being all about that "pretentious academia bullshit" that constrained him in his previous life.

So he decides to use the strongest machine in all of fiction; Nemo Ex Machina, the Self-Reference Engine to act as the architect and storyteller for his new universe, after merging his mind with Nemo and having designed the course of fate to his will our God realizes that his knowledge on all those characters who will inhabit the new universe makes him too powerful and that in order to be part of the new universe he gotta nerf himself and leave the godhood for Nemo to handle.

Descending to his creation his memories are erased but he does have some abstract knowledge about the world

The Collectiverse's Conditions:

- Trying to time travel before the merge happened just sends you back to when you woke up with memories of the timeline you came from, the individual cannot go forward to that timeline's future meaning that going back means the only thing that remains of that timeline is the traveler's memory of it.

- No character can undo this merge and go back to their home reality or create another dimension

- Every atom that inhabits the space is covered in an impenetrable skeuomorphic substance

- The newborn consciousness who is the descendant god of this universe that wiped out all its knowledge and memories inhabits all the atoms and finds Jenny Wakeman to be very pretty and it is likely that if they learn about her character they will fall in love with her even more and manifest as a pretty glossy boy who could cause more parts of the new universe to form where there are new characters and locations, lead to this new world's completion if they can explore and learn about the inhabitants of this universe, this consciousness is called The Notion Agent (N.A. for short)

- Any form of telepathy/involuntary info extraction doesn't work on NA

- The Ends of the formed universe lead to an unbreakable invisible barrier that only shows a static tv void

The Collectiverse's First Stage: The Suburbs

The Suburbs consists of these characters as its inhabitants with a location related to them (mostly their residence) as their starting point, anyone who i didn't name who lives with them probably didn't get pulled in or will later arrive when the next stage is formed:

Timeline 1, Day 1
>Everyone wake up to see they are not in their neighborhood and all the mass panic ensues
>Timmy's Fairies tell him they are not in their universe
>Timmy Wishes to go back to dimmsdale, it fails
>Xavier has access to the minds of everyone besides Anyone from PvZ, Anyone from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Anyone from FoP besides Chester and AJ, Batman, Anyone from Invader Zim, Ben Tennyson, Jenny Wakeman, Ed, Vlad Plasmius, Meatwad, Peter and Chris Griffin
>Xavier does learn about Batman through Alfred, Ben and The Omnitrix through Max and other characters from their other friends
>Xavier doesn't know about any Fairy Godparents, Plants, Zombies, Irkens, Vlad Plasmius or Billy and Mandy having The Grim Reaper at their hands
>Zomboss wakes up to see the new neighborhood and sees the KND treehouse, interpreting it as the war between the plants and the zombies having caused some spacetime changes and that the plants seized opportunity to establish dominance
>Zombies start invading and an all-out war breaks out
>While the zombies get their shit wrecked by other superheroes, Timmy wishes all the zombies disappear
>Only Super Brainz, Z-Mechs and their variants remain
>Z-Mech Steve detects Zomboss is gone
>Z-Mech Steve hops into the time portal

Timeline 2, Day 1
>Z-Mech Steve warns Zomboss about a timeline where all the zombies disappeared
>Zomboss decides to pull an Invisighoul on the new neighborhood
>The Zombies attack yet still make noises and smell like dead corpses, Timmy wishes all the invisible zombies away
>Before Zomboss time travels Ben Tennyson wakes up and notices the neighbourhood is fucked
>Ben calls Grandpa Max
>Max informs him they are not in Bellwood and that their locations must have been sent into another dimension
>Ben turns into Alien X to test out that theory
>Serena and Bellicus tell Ben they aren't in their verse
>Ben tries going back in time

Timeline 3, Day 1
>Ben goes back in time to the exact point where he woke up in
>He calls Grandpa Max
>Confirms to him they got moved into another universe where even Alien X can't get them out of
>Xavier learns of this
>Timmy wishes the invisible zombies away
>Ben and Max decide to survey the area, Max sees lots of panic and his Rustbucket crashes into an invisible Super Brainz/Z-Mech
>Zomboss time travels again

Timeline 4, Day 1
>Zomboss decides to send invisible zombies without having them attack
>Xavier shuts off the brains of almost every bad guy besides
>Xavier tells everyone telepathically to meet at the KND treehouse
>Everyone starts gathering up besides Yoshikage Kira, The Freemans and Uncle Ruckus, Mr. and Mrs. Turner, Dinkleberg and The Smiths (besides Roger who is wearing a new costume)


Just remember the Collectiverse is only an example, you can make your own verse with your own conditions where the characters wake up there and their way out of the setting is through progression.
