My omniversal journeys (A World hopping SI)

This is somewhat intresting i have read few fic like this usaly the mc goes for immortality from the start like godhood or just some broken piwers
yeah I'm trying to avoid doing that super quickly. there's plenty of easy places I could get immortality or godhood, but that would be boring, so I'm just considering them all much higher tier than what they are

Chapter 9 New
Chapter 9
Earth Sword Art Online: Monday, March 30th, 2026 6:30 AM
It's the next day, and I am getting close to being able to have the last few things that I want and can get safely. To get the last things I what I prepared a package for the MC of this universe. Inside the package is a laptop from RPO, ¥50k, and a card. On the card is the password for the laptop and instructions on how to contact me. To allow the laptop to work with this universe's software, it has a VM for this world's version of Windows, and in that VM is a program that can contact me.

Now with my gift prepared, I drove to the MC's home and put the box in front of his door and knocked. Just after I knocked, I went back to my van and drove back to the campsite. Now I just need to wait for him to contact me.

While I waited to be contacted, I read through more BMI research papers. With what I have read so far, it looks like SAO's BMI tech will fix most of the problems with RPO BMI's, and make it safe to use for years at a time.

It's the next day and I finally get contacted. In our conversation, I managed to get him and his government contact to meet in person. After I got that scheduled for tomorrow, I went to a couple of stores and bought 3 Augma's and 6 AmuSphere's to take back home.

It's the next day and finally time for the meeting. At the meeting, I made 2 deals: one with the MC the other with his contact. With the contact, I sold KAMURA's plan to replicate Yuuna's mind by sealing people's impressions of her and the true specs for the Augma, showing him there hidden fulldive capability for a nervgear and the design for the medicuboid. With the MC I provided help for running Yui naively on the laptop I gave him and in secret told him the true purpose of project Alicization as a weapon program for a copy of Yui.

After the deals were made, I went to the good, nearby internet cafe. Now at the cafe, I connected to my nodes and had them scrape every research paper wiki it can. After I got it started, I had it release all the details for making NZT and the booster shot and their effects to every major news program, scientific journal, and social media platform. While all of that ran, I started to compare the designs of every BMI that I have as well as look through their testing data.

For the rest of the time until I can leave, I just worked on downloading what I can and understanding how fulldive systems work. With that knowledge, I documented how various fulldive systems work using the research and design documents I have access to.

It's the last day before I leave, so I set up a meeting with the MC's contact for Thursday so I can try to make a deal for the last 2 technology's I want when I come back. When I got that set up I went back to RPO, driving through a portal back to where I left.

Now back home in Ready Player One, I first distributed the documentation on how fulldive tech works to my BMI group.

Next, I started planning a program to go through all the media I have gotten and sort it based on the universe and timeline, building a timeline of events as it goes.

For the AI software and research I brought with me, I gave to the existing AI group for them to use to improve their AIs.

For the quantum computer research, I decided not to do anything with it until I get access to the research that created the light cubes, the quantum computer that has the thermal properties I want.

Over the next week, I went between helping the BMI group and my sorting program, working with the AI group for their experience. For the BMI group, I helped them learn how SAO's BMIs worked so they can merge both types of BMIs together to make a better combined one. Now they have a good idea how SAO's BMI's work I had them start designing and making prototypes to test their merged BMI. For my program, I have gotten it to mostly work, so I let it run over a copy of what I got from my original earth. Now that my first revision is functional, I started working on expanding it so it can work with more kinds of things like research papers.

After that week of focusing on the BMI group, I worked with the building group and took a look at their plans for compact and efficient hydroponics/aquaponics buildings. It's looking like they already had a design; they just modified it to fit with the resources easily available at the locations they selected.

As they have a design, they have started planning for their construction near where they are planning on putting the train stations to make distribution easier. The first hydroponics building is going to break ground in a month and finish construction 8 months after that. So over the next week, I helped them with planning my rail network, as that is the project that has had the least development, as well as assist them with my other projects I have given them.

After helping my building group, I checked up on my BMI group and found that they had already built and started testing the merged BMI. The results so far are pretty good with some of the safety of SAO's BMI and the accuracy of RPO's BMI, but they have an extensive list of improvements for the second revision.

Next, I checked up on my environmental group and found that they are doing fine. They are just rerunning simulations and finding and fixing problems with my plans.

The last groups I checked up on were the groups working on my new networking protocols hardware for them. For the software side, they are currently going through various network protocols and simulations to find what works and what does not. To help them, I both gave them more examples and let them know that this is just going to be used internally, so they can make breaking changes for a v2, which is the one that's going to be available outside the company.

For the hardware group, they are at a stopping point until more of the initial protocol is finalized or final frequency bands are chosen. To give them something to do, I had them work with legal to get globally allocated as low-frequency bands as they can. When they get the bands, they are to work on getting the radios working as efficiently as they can while maximizing their bandwidth.

Over the next month, I just continued working between my personal projects and helping the BMI and software networking groups. For my personal project, I got research paper filtering, sorting, ranking, and cross-referencing working. The biggest thing I got done is working with my AI group on understanding and improving the framework that made Yui so good at understanding and emulating emotions. With this improved framework, we made a version for assisting teachers as a good first application for it. We gave this version to the educational groups to start deploying and testing it. Every deployed instance logs what it thinks are best practices without sharing or storing any potentially personally identifying information. These logs are going to be used for improving future versions.

For the software networking group, with my help and lots of simulations, they decided on a packet format and a routing system, at least something close to final. Now that group is working on building the protocols so make it useful, like making a version of NTP, PTP, UDP, and TCP built on top of the base protocol. Now that they are finally getting to the individual protocols, they started working with the network maintenance group from IOI to help them choose what formats to focus on. That group from IOI has been antagonistic and extremely unhelpful, so I'm gonna have to look into that.

For the BMI group, they have gotten an excellent understanding of how SAO's BMI works and have fully merged it with RPO's BMI, so I gave them goals for what I want in production. They are going to be working on 3 models: an AR headset, a fulldive headset, and a fulldive pod for longer sessions, as well as a design to build a 4th Gen system on top of.

After that month of jumping between projects, I checked up on the hardware group, which, thanks to the packet format being pretty much finalized, they can start designing the chips for routing. For the wireless ones, they have frequency allocations from 535 kHz to 1605 kHz, 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz, 174 MHz to 216 MHz, and MHz 512 MHz to 608 MHz, it's not a lot of bandwidth but it's a good start.

The last group I checked up on is my environmental group, and they have finalized their setup for automatically running simulations. The other big thing that they've done has been to work with PR and some other groups to push for repairability in both architecture and product design. Internally, they have pushed our hardware and software design teams to ensure that all future products are repairable and durable with as long life spans as possible.

But now that I have checked up on my groups, it's time to figure out what that conflict between former IOI groups is about. Unfortunately, I haven't spent too much time on the integration as I delegated that to other people, so I'm gonna need to do a lot of research.

I spent the next week researching and going through communication records to find problematic managers and employees, and I found a lot of them, and I'm not even an eighth of the way through the managers. What I found is that most of this harassment has been existing from before they got bought out but ignored, but a lot of it started when they started working with GSS employees. This hostility started because of a culture clash between IOI and GSS; it looks like a lot of retraining and a large purge needs to happen. I'll spend the next month finishing working on it before I throw it to HR with a list of employees to look at and what I found.

For the next month, all I did was go through communications for the people at or above senior management to find who needs to be retrained and who needs to be let go. I'm starting with management because when that's fixed, it's gonna make it much easier to fix the rest. By the end of the month, it's looking like 1/8 of IOI's management needs to be fired and 1/4 of it needs to be retrained. So I gave it to HR to go through, do their own investigations but with mine as a starting point and start fixing the problem. Start firing and retraining people. For The easiest to retrain people its looking looks like they're gonna be done in 4 months but the longest ones are gonna take about a year, Training the replacements for the people that we're gonna hire looks like it's gonna take a year and a half. After they get management, they're going to start looking at the rest of the employees, and that's looking like it's going to take another year and a half to fix.

After I threw that to HR, I checked up on my projects and found that my BMI group has made a prototype AR headset. This headset is partially made from a disassembled Augma, which they improved with better commuters and storage. To test it, they made a VM to allow for both fulldive and AR applications to run locally. After they showed me that prototype, I tried it, and found that it was functional and decently comfortable. After they showed off that prototype and let me test it I asked them make me one and have it modified to work better in Sword Art Online while still having the ridiculous storage and processing speeds of RPO. They said that my version should be ready in two weeks and it would have some of the improvements that they've been planning for the next revision.

Next I checked up on my building group and found that they have managed to find a good path between the major cities and are starting working on acquiring the land. So far most of it has been pretty easy though some of it looks like they might have to work around it.

My networking groups and my environmental group are working fine and without anything major to report.

For my AI group I saw some good progress They are working on using the framework we made to translate emotional content between different languages more accurately. For the educational model they are monitoring it and have made some minor updates from some of the early feedback from teachers.

After checking up on everyone I spent a week helping fix the management situation and then spent a week getting ready to leave for SAO again this time without the van as I am probably going to be arrested. Just before I leave, I got my prototype and its documentation, putting it on and doing some last tests, and downloading everything useful to it.

I opened a portal right where I left then walked right through.
