So, there's a lot of dead start fics in the NSFW CRW forum. Fics that have one chapter of <3k words, often entirely composed of a setup for a fic, insufficient content to actually be worth the effort reading. As an example, a writer turning their WC catalog choices into prose, but not going starting the plot.

I'm proposing that all new fic threads get created in a new subforum, not in the main forum. Call it something like "New Stories" or "Fresh Starts". Once they reach some threshold they are automatically moved into the root NSFW CRW forum. At a glance, 10k words and 3 chapters seems like a fair starting point, without being overly onerous.

This would encourage prospective writers to create enough content to actually be worth reading, and provide a bit of a filter on the near content free threads.

Not sure whether making this the default would impact traffic to new fics, lessening feedback, maybe causing more of them to never get off the ground. Or cause people to put in filler just to get onto main street, which would probably waste both reader's and writer's time and degrade story quality. The necessity seems kinda lacking too, given you can already filter NSFW CRW by whatever wordcount you want.

Personally I'd rather see a separate subforum for snippet threads. They take up like half the front page of sort by wordcount, and tend to make it hard to find single long form stories.
