    So, I went to my doctor, a while back, and he put me on a trial of ADHD medication. I decided that I would test it out by trying some work from this class I had been struggling with, but I was putting it off, because I kept remembering how horrible trying to work on it was. It's an online class that teaches you how to use Excel, which is a requirement for my major. Basically, you open your current assignment, open the book, and follow a step-by-step instruction for how to do it. Easy, right? I've failed it twice, because it bores me out of my fucking mind, and I can't focus on it or get motivated to do it, because of that.

    Anyway, I just took my last pill, today, and finally decided to just get it over with. Breezed through it in thirty minutes, without stopping. Usually, when I actually finished the assignments, it took me at least two hours, because I could only do it for, like, five or ten minutes at a time, before I needed to go and do something else, for a while. Methylphenidate is a fucking miracle drug, and if you've having trouble concentrating on your work, school or otherwise, I highly suggest meeting with your doctor.

    Kind of personal, I guess, but I wanted to mention this to someone, and it's midnight. Plus, I only worked up the nerve to see my doctor about possibly having ADHD because I had read a bunch of stories online that "clicked" with me, so I wanted to "pay it forward," as it were.

    I wish I could benefit from that stuff. But I have the mixed blessing of an abnormally good liver. For medications that are carried in the bloodstream I need double to triple the indicated dose for my bodyweight to get the effects, and that can be dangerous in other ways. (My liver would be fine. My kidneys? Not so much)
