Complete darkness. That was all Alex could see around him, or rather, what he felt.

He didn't have a body, it was like he was merely existing, as if he was both nothing and something at the same time.

'How long has it been? Months? Years?' Alex thought to himself, sighing inwardly as he started remembering how he had ended up in this place.

It had been a regular day, he had been heading to college on a bus when it had happened.

The tires of the bus had lost friction with the road for a single moment and that had led the bus to start swerving towards the right. This wouldn't have been enough to land Alex in his current position however as his luck would have it.

He had been seated right in the middle of the bus, towards the right window. And that was exactly where a truck had hit. The man behind the wheel had tried however it had been too late, the bus swerve had been too unexpected and his own speed had been too high.

'Thankfully it wasn't painful, I think i got crushed instantly.' Alex thought to himself.

More time passed, more thoughts gathered in his mind and then proceeded to be forgotten, it was like a limbo state of sorts.

Until finally after an unknown period. His eyes opened.

'I opened my eyes?' Alex thought confused as he stared at an unfamiliar ceiling on top of him.

At the same time, he felt it, his senses returning quickly, first it was touch, the feeling of something soft, likely a bed under him.

Next it was the sense of hearing, the sounds of bird chirps coming from outside the window to his right.

And finally the sense of smell, he smelled the earth, the wooden planks, the trees outside, the morning dew.

It was familiar, to his previous senses before he had lost them however at the same time, it was different, completely different.

'What the fuck is going on?' Alex thought to himself as he rose up from where he was laid down on the bed.

Looking around he quickly took in the room.

A small desk with an old 2000s computer on top of it. A wooden chair next to the desk, looking work and used, likely years old.

There was a large window on the right side of the small room, two large curtains framed its sides and through the window one could see a dense green forest, still dripping with water from a rain that had likely ended just a bit earlier.

There was a small closet next to the bed and a bunch of drawers next to that.

Walking towards the desk, Alex quickly looked around for anything, that might help him realise where he was.

Opening the drawer right under the desk, he found a turned down picture, taking it in his hands and flipping it. He was met with a picture of himself, or rather a picture of when he had been a child.

However he didn't recognise the people next to him or the background and more importantly, he never remembered having taking that picture.

'Did they photoshop this? No in the first place i dont think i even have any pictures of when i was a kid, most of them got lost when my phone broke. And it looks too real, too identical to me.' Alex thought to himself in confusion as he gently put the picture down onto the desk.

It was at this moment that he heard a sound or rather a voice coming from outside the room, likely from downstairs.

"Alex! Are you ready yet? We're heading to school and its our first day!" The voice called out.

'Feminine, a woman. Going to school? First day?' Alex quickly thought as he turned towards the closed door before turning around once more and scrambling through the desk drawers, managing to find a small box cutter and instantly grabbing it before turning towards the door once more.

'Okay, school. Likely Highschool judging by my body right now. First day, means i transferred unless this kid is one of those hollywood movie gene kids.' Alex thought to himself quickly before shaking his head to clear his mind.

'That doesn't matter right now. I need more information on what exactly is going on, and how to deal with that voice outside. I could stay in here and wait until they come here or i could walk there myself.' Alex thought as he turned towards the closet.

'Right, getting ready. Im currently wearing pajama.' With that thought in mind, Alex quickly opened the closet doors.

Inside he found dozens of black and white shirts, a few leather jackets and a few sweaters and hoodies. On the lower part of the closet, there were a few blue, black and gray jeans aswell as three sets of sweatpants.

Deciding to just get anything, Alex quickly took a pair of black jeans, a black turtleneck and one of the black leather jackets.

Wearing them as quickly as he could, Alex finally turned to the mirror that had been glued to the inside of the closet door. Looking at himself, it was like he was looking at a younger version with a few changes.

First it was his skin, it was white, but not regular white, it was extreme white, like his skin was made of white marble.

His hair had similarly changed, before it had been pure black however now he could notice that it was just a very dark shade of brown and his eyes were similar.

'Should i even be able to notice such a minute change in hair colour?' Alex thought to himself, feeling a slight wrongness but deciding it was nothing…

Turning around, he headed to the door and opened it slowly, as softly as he could.

And yet…

*Creeeekkk*

'I knew it.' Alex thought as he released a deep sigh and simply opened the door quickly.

Before him was a small hall with a staircase leading down to his left and a door right at the end of the hall and one right infront of the staircase.

'Let's just head downstairs for now, this looks like a regular house, don't want to head inside a bedroom and cause a problem when i don't even know where i am.' Alex quickly thought as he walked down the stair case.

And there, right infront of him, she stood.

At the end of the stair case.

Brown long hair, Brown eyes.

White pearly skin.

'Why does she… why does she look like Bella Swan?'

'Why does she… Why does she look like Bella Swan?' Alex thought to himself as he gazed at the teen girl in front of him with pure shock, however he managed to not change his expression, at least maintaining a slight ability to control himself at the world shaking reveal he had just gotten.

"Bella?" Alex asked his voice soft, it was a test, a test to see if he was actually correct in his assumption.

"Yeah Alex? Are you ready yet? I really don't want to be late for my first class." Bella replied as she gazed up at him, her expression showed slight confusion at Alex.

"Right, first class. Yeah, I'm ready." Alex replied as he started walking before he saw Bella looking at him with a different expression altogether.

'Is she looking at me like I'm a dumbass?' Alex thought for a moment.

"Ready? Where's your backpack?" Bella asked with a tone that clearly told a history of pure annoyance as she looked at Alex, one of her eyes twitching just slightly.

"Right. I forgot." Alex said as he quickly turned around and ran up the stairs towards his bedroom.

'I totally forgot about the backpack, I was a total dropout in college who never even brought his backpack at all.' Alex thought inwardly with a grimace as he looked around the small room he had woken up in.

Quickly enough a black backpack caught his eye, it was seated on the right side of the desk on the ground.

Quickly grabbing it and slinging it over his shoulder, Alex started walking downstairs.

"Where's Charlie?" Alex asked as he arrived downstairs, to see Bella already tying her shoes at the front door.

"He headed to work early, around an hour ago I think." Bella replied as she raised her head to look at the clock on the wall just above the dining table.

Turning around towards the clock, Alex quickly read the time before walking to the shoe drawer to get his own pair.

'It's seven am, classes likely start at eight, Charlie left at six for work, so he likely woke up at around five am, it's useful to at least know his work schedule. Now the real important question is… which ones are my shoes damned it.' Alex thought to himself as he looked at four pairs of shoes in front of him.

'Please let it be the Nikes, let it be the air force ones.' Alex thought as he grabbed the Nikes, ignoring the rest which either looked too small, likely for females or the ones that looked too old and out of fashion.

Starting to tie his shoes, Alex waited for Bella to ask him why he was wearing Charlie's shoes however the question never arrived.

'Thank god.' Alex thought to himself as he released a soft inward sigh of relief.

With his shoes tied, the two quickly opened the front door and headed outside.

There Alex saw the small parking lot in front of the house as well as the famous orange chevy.

'That thing has probably had fanfictions written just for it at some point in time.' Alex thought to himself, releasing a soft chuckle as he walked to the passenger side and hopped inside, dropping the backpack at his feet before trying to close the door.

*Bang*

It didn't close.

*Baang*

Still didn't work.

Finally using all his strength, he slammed it, finally closing it properly.

"Shitty ass door." Alex murmured to himself as he turned to face the front only to notice Bella staring at him like he was a mad man.

"What?" He asked, confused.

"Nothing, I've just never heard you say any curse words before." Bella said as she closed her own door with a slam and turned the ignition key.

'He never said anything? What the hell? Shitty isnt even a curse word. Just what was the old owner of this body doing.' Alex thought to himself before shaking his head to clear his thoughts as the car started reversing onto the road.

'First of all, I need to hope that Edward can't read my mind. If he can? Well that complicates things, though I don't think I'd end up dead, but even then i need to be careful, this is the real world, not some fictional book, the characters i read about could act completely different. Like her for example.' Alex thought as he gazed at Bella who was driving with a scowl from the edge of his eye.

'The Bella from the books is awkward with others, the movie one even more so, yet this one clearly acts normally with me. Of course this could be just because of this body's relation to her as her brother, however it's still better to be on the careful side of things.' Alex thought as he gazed outside the window at the passing scenery.

It didn't take long, only around twenty five minutes for the two of them to arrive at the Forks High school Parking Lot using the old Chevy.

Driving into the lot, the grating sound of the chevy quickly gathered the attention of the entire student base as around a hundred or so people turned around to gaze towards them.

Bella looked like she wanted to kill herself as she drove into an empty parking space.

'I want to kill myself aswell, but at the same time, this chevy is a damn beast.' Alex thought as his lips twitched upwards at the sound the truck was making. It was so loud that it felt like the air was going to vibrate.

'Is it sounding even louder because of my anxiety?' Alex thought as he couldn't stop himself and released a soft chuckle.

'Well then, here I come… Forks Highschool.'

'Well then, here I come… Forks High School.' Alex thought as he opened the car door, grabbing his backpack at his feet and getting out before slinging the backpack over his left shoulder and slamming the door closed.

"So this is where we will be studying for the next year." Alex mumbled as he looked around, seeing the hundreds or so students staring at him.

"Why are they looking at us as if we are a different species?" Bella mumbled awkwardly as she walked next to Alex.

"Small towns, they most likely never get transfer students, not to mention transfers in the middle of the year." Alex replied softly as he started walking towards the front entrance of the High school.

Looking around him, he saw the different cars parked around them.

'It really is 2005, certainly a different mood altogether, most of them are actually talking with each other and not holed up in their phones and not to mention the cars, they're all… quite old.' Alex thought to himself as he walked, Bella strutting close to him looking like she wanted to hide in a hole and never be seen again.

'Now she's acting similarly to how she did in the books, so the changes aren't that large. It's just how she acts towards me, I didn't have a point of reference since Bella didn't have a brother before.' Alex thinks to himself as he swings the front doors open and heads inside the school.

In front of them is a small booth of sorts with a secretary inside.

"That should be where we're headed, to get our schedules." Alex mumbled to Bella who was practically glued to his side.

"Yeah, alright let's just get going Alex. I just want to get this over with and hope they stop staring once they realise I'm just a regular girl." Bella replies as she walks ahead finally.

'Yeah sorry, that's not really happening, you're going to be the talk of the town for quite the long while.' Alex thought inwardly as he released a soft sigh, barely audible from the clamour of students around them as he walked towards the booth, following behind Bella.

"Hello ma'am. We're Bella and Alex Swan, the new transfer students." Bella spoke first as she stood in front the booth, behind which sat a small middle aged woman.

"Ah the new transfers Isabella and Alexander Swan. Children of Police Chief Charlie right?" The woman said with a smile as she grabbed a bunch of documents that had been put to the side on the desk in front of her.

"Yes, a pleasure." Alex replied as he gave a soft nod towards the woman.

"Well then, without making you two wait, here's the schedules as well as a map to find you way." The woman said as she placed four paper sheets in front of them. Two were schedules, one for each and two maps of the school as well.

Alex quickly grabbed one of each for himself, looking at the schedule, he turned towards Bella only to see the schedule on her hand was the exact same as his.

'Did they choose the same classes? The old Alex and Bella that is. Or is this just a coincidence? It's still weird in a way, getting the exact same schedule.' Alex thought to himself as he folded the schedule and slipped it into his jean pockets before looking at the map of the school he had been given.

"Do you know how to read a map, Bell?" Alex asks as he lifts his gaze from the map to Bella who was looking at him with an awkward expression of her own.

"Totally." Bella replied however her tone of voice didn't give much confidence to her words.

"Right… let's just hope that we don't miss the entire class." Alex replied with a soft sigh as he prepared himself.

It was at this moment as they were walking away from the booth towards one of the hallways that they got interrupted by someone.

It was a short asian boy with black greasy hair and olive skin tone, he had a smile on his face as he looked at Alex and Bella.

"Hey there, Name's Eric Yorkie, You're Isabella and Alexander Swan right?" The boy, Eric introduced himself as he extended his hand towards Bella.

"We prefer Bella and Alex. But yes nice to meet you Eric." Bella replied as she shook his hand.

"Do you two mind if I did a feature on you two for the school newspaper? Bella and Alex Swan: The New Thing." Eric said in an overly excited voice though it was clearly slightly forced.

'He's slightly awkward, pushing himself to appear more extroverted than his is. This guy clearly is the book version of Eric instead of his movie version.' Alex thought to himself with a soft hum before focusing on the matter at hand.

"No, We would prefer if you didn't, Eric, we aren't really the type that enjoy the attention. You can make a paper about how two new students transferred, however keep our names or pictures out of it." Alex replied as he shook his head to the boy's question.

"Ah I see, that's alright, thanks for letting me at least mention you. Where are you guys headed?" Eric asks curiously.

"Trigonometry is our first class, but we're totally lost." Alex replies with a shrug and a slight awkward smile of his own.

"I could totally show you guys the way, I have trig for first class as well." Eric replies with a quick nod of his head, his energy seemed contagious for a moment as Alex chuckled and gave a nod.

"Sure, that would help a lot Eric." Alex replied as he shook Eric's hand.

Bella who was next to him similarly gave a nod.

A few hours later, Bella and Alex were walking down the hallways of the high school heading towards the cafeteria.

'The previous classes were Trigonometry, which honestly was quite easy, we only covered the basics, however I still was stressed, new world and shit and the first thing in the morning is math.' Alex thought to himself as he released an inward sigh, dodging the students that had filled the hallways as he walked.

Next to Bella and Alex walking was a girl they had met during that class who had sat next to the two. Jessica Stanley.

'Jessica is honestly less annoying as they make her out to be in the books, she just seems like a regular high school girl. Though I guess the only reason people portrayed her that badly in the fandom was because she talked behind Cullen's back, however she's just a teen, not really the end of the world, I'd call it regular behaviour.' Alex thought as he looked at the girl walking next to Bella to his right.

The girl was a bit shorter than Bella, she had dark curly hair, a dark brown, similar to her eyes. She wore clothes that clearly appeared more fashionable than most of the students around here in Forks and it was quite obvious that she was an extrovert, one just had to look at how she walked and talked.

'Bubbly, yet slightly jealous inside. Overall? Harmless.' Alex thought to himself as he turned his gaze towards the front once more.

'Our second class was Spanish, which I never learned in my past life, so I'm most likely either failing or barely passing. This could be a bit annoying if the Alex who inhibited this body was previously good at Spanish, however I can just chalk it up to me no longer caring about my grades.' Alex thought as the trio finally arrived at the doors of the cafeteria.

Students could be seen constantly heading inside or leaving, making getting in quite the hassle.

"It's quite busy, I'd have thought that more people would just be roaming around outside the building." Alex mumbled as he looked at the scene.

"No, everyone actually comes here, the food is pretty alright and you can even call it the hotspot of gossip. Usually anything that happened gets transmitted to the whole student body." Jessice said with a smile and a wink at Alex as she walked inside.

'Is she hitting on me? Nah… definitely not right? Is this one of those moments that I will remember five years later?' Alex thought jokingly to himself as he followed behind her together with Bella.

Alex and Bella quickly arrived at a table following Jessica and sat down. There were three other students already sitting at the table.

One of them was Erick Yorkie that the two had already met before their first class, and the two others were a light blond hair guy with a slight baby face and an athletic build as well as a tall girl with light brown hair and glasses.

'Those two must be Mike Newton and Angela Weber, their looks match the book descriptions much more closely than the movie versions.' Alex thought to himself as he sat down at the table right next to Bella as well as Angela.

"Hey, I'm Alexander Swan, the new transfer student. Call me Alex though." Alex says with a smile as he extends his hand towards Mike.

"Yo Alex, I'm Mike Newton, nice to meet you as well. And you are?" Mike said first to Alex before quickly turning his gaze towards Bella.

'Does this guy already have a crush on her? At first sight? I know he was described as flirty in the books however this much?' Alex thought as he listened to Mike starting to talk with Bella who clearly didn't really seem in the mood to entertain him much.

Shrugging his shoulders, Alex turned towards the girl, Angela Weber.

"Nice to meet you as well. Alex." Alex says as he gives her his hand as well, which she seemed to take softly, a shy expression on her face.

"Angela Weber. Nice to meet you too Alex." Angela replied, her voice much quieter than the rest of the group.

Giving a nod to the girl, Alex quickly turned to the rest of the group. Mike took this moment to ask a question.

"So how are you guys liking Forks so far?" He asked curiously, the question was directed at both however he seemed to only be looking at Bella.

"It's cold and wet, quite different from Phoenix. However, it is a nice change of view." Alex replied as he put his chin on his hand, holding it up.

Bella replied with a similar answer, Mike seemed to instantly grab this moment and start more small talk with her.

Alex turned his gaze towards Jessica who was now slightly glaring at Bella.

'Damn man, Jessica isn't even bad looking, why are you trying for the girl that is clearly not interested in you.' Alex thought to himself, feeling the urge to release a chuckle however holding it back in.

It was at this moment that the doors of the cafeteria opened up.

And inside came a group of people. The entire cafeteria seemed to quiet down for a moment at the sight of them.

Turning his head towards the door, Alex quickly noticed the reason as to why the students had quieted down for a moment.

The silence was quickly broken as the clamor restarted once more however.

There right at the door, coming inside, were five devastatingly inhumanly beautiful people.

That wasn't all however as they all appeared to walk with an amount of grace that seemed supernatural. They each looked completely different from one another yet at the same time, completely identical to one another.

Chalky pale white skin, Amber colored eyes, their faces so different and yet so similar in the fact that they were all inhumanely beautiful.

'The Cullens and Hales.' Alex thought to himself as he gazed at the group.

The leading one at the front was a tall man with large muscles and broad shoulders, he had dark curly short hair and looked the most imitating out of the bunch.

'That guy looks like a college student, how the hell do people believe him when he says he's in high school. Considering his looks and height, that's most definitely Emmet Cullen.' Alex thought as he gazed at the bear-like man before turning his gaze to the woman next to him.

She was beautiful, even more so than all the rest of the Cullens, it was to the point that one couldn't even paint someone like her as they wouldn't be able to imagine it.

'Rosalie Hale, Pale blond hair, tall and walks like a model on a runway, and looks like she wants to be anywhere but here.' Alex mused to himself inwardly as he glanced behind her where the rest of the Cullens were.

'Tall, lean build with honey colored blond hair, and yeah i get what they meant when they described him looking like he was in pain. Looks like he has constant constipation issues.' Alex thought to himself, barely holding back a chuckle as he moved his gaze past him.

The sight of the next Cullen however caused an inward shock to Alex, It wasn't something pleasant however rather it was shock at how the girl moved.

'She gives the most inhuman vibes, from the way she's moving to the way she just is. Small stature, bubbly smile that looks just a bit off and short black hair that spiked in all directions. That's Alice Cullen.' Alex thought to himself feeling an almost instinctual need to gaze away from the small woman as he turned his gaze to the last Cullen.

At the back of the group, there he was, the male lead of the books.

'Bronze colored hair, tall with a build in between that of Jasper and Emmet, most definitely the best looking out of the boys and in a similar way to Rosalie, he looks like he wants to be anywhere but here right now.' Alex thought inwardly as he finally moved his gaze away from the group.

As Alex had been looking at the group, Bella had done similarly and caught the attention of Jessica who had started describing the group for her.

"So basically they're all together, it's really weird." Jessica said with a whisper voice as she looked at Bella.

"Jess, don't say that. They're not really weird… just really private" Angela said in a soft shy voice as she looked at her friend with what could be called the look a mother gave to a misbehaving child.

"Oh come on Angie, you do have to agree that dating your step siblings is as weird as it gets." Jessica replied as she released a huff of breath and lounged back against her chair.

"What about him? Who's he?" Bella asked as she gazed at Edward.

"Oh that? That's Edward. Don't even try, he thinks he's somehow too good for anyone. Narcissistic is what we call that." Jessica replied with a voice that was quite close to a growl.

'Yeah, she most definitely got rejected.' Alex and Bella thought almost at the same time as they looked at the glare on Jessica's face.

It was at this moment that Bella sneaked another glance at Edward and practically froze.

Alex turned his gaze to see what had happened only for him to flinch as well.

The gaze Edward was giving her was anything but human, his eyes had turned from the shining amber to an impossible Black, it was as if they were voids of light as they stared at Bella.

'Shit, that is much much fucking scarier than in the movies.' Alex thought to himself before he saw Alice who had been next to Edward slap his hand causing him to quickly turn his face away.

Finally both the Swans were released from their frozen state and both quickly turned their gaze away, almost at the same instant.

'I wish you luck Bella, I have no idea how you survived Biology.' Alex thought to himself as he released a soft sigh of relief as he gathered his breath.

'Though from the fact that he didn't react in any way that's too shocking, I'm guessing that Edward can't read my thoughts, either a perk of being Bella's brother or maybe reincarnation? Or is it called Transmigration in this case? Would that make my thoughts have different wavelengths or some other thing that would cause this? It would be nice if it was the second case, that could maybe mean that Alice wouldn't be able to see me in her visions as well and that other vampiric gifts wouldn't work against me.' Alex thought as he focused on the small talk at his table once more.

The remaining part of the lunch hour passed quickly, Alex wasn't even there for most of the time, stuck inside his head, still thinking about that gaze, a shiver going through his body. It was finally hitting him that this wasn't his reality.

That this was a world he had only read about and watched a movie for. This was a world where a human could die as easily as a rabbit, no maybe even more easily if a vampire simply decided they wanted to.

'And Bella over there is Edward's blood singer… and I'm Bella's brother…. What if I am as well?' Alex thought to himself, he kept his hands under the table, making sure no one could see just how much they were shaking.

'The reason he didn't kill Bella was because she was his soul mate or some crap… so he managed to somehow hold himself back from killing her.' Alex's thoughts continued getting darker and darker, his imagination went wild as he thought of hundreds of scenarios where his innards would end up splattered all over concrete or how his spine could be snapped in half and his blood drained out as quickly as one would drink a Capri sun.

The second the bell signaling the end of Lunch was heard, Alex's body snapped up from the chair as he quickly turned towards Bella and the others.

"I'll be going ahead, the bathroom is to the right from outside of here right?" Alex asked, somehow managing to keep his voice under control as he tried his hardest to stop himself from trembling or straight up running out of the hall.

'I have Biology II, with Edward… yeah I am not going inside there.' Alex thought as he turned to Bella.

"Tell the teacher that I'm having a stomach issue, here take this letter and ask him to sign mine as well," Alex said as he handed his attendance letter to Bella who gave a quick nod and pocketed it.

Turning away from Bella, Mike, Jessica, Angela, and Erick. Alex quickly walked towards the doorway and headed outside of the cafeteria.

He walked towards the right where the bathrooms were however he didn't head inside, he knew that the safest place to be when facing a vampire was actually a space with as many humans as possible.

'They have no reason to hunt me, and I am being paranoid however if it means I can feel even slightly calmer, I'll do it.' Alex thought to himself, clearly knowing that he was being illogical and that there really wasn't any reason for Edward to come and kill him and put his family in danger however human emotions were never logical.

It was a culmination of a lot of factors that led to Alex almost having a panic attack right in the middle of lunch.

The fact that he was taken out of his own world, the fact that he had died, the fact that he was in a world that was supposed to be fiction, the fact that a literal vampire had given both him and his new supposed sister a glare that clearly meant death.

'I think I'm actually doing a pretty great job at not freaking the fuck out.' Alex thought as he arrived outside the school, before him stood the parking lot.

Walking to the left, he clearly saw groups of students who were skipping class, there weren't a lot of them, it wasn't because the school was just that great, it was simply because there weren't that many students in Forks.

Walking to them, he gave a shallow wave of his hand.

"Yo, I'm Alex, the new guy. Anyone got a cig? Kinda forgot mine at home." Alex said towards the closest group.

There were two male students, one with blonde hair and one ginger as well as a girl with long black hair.

"Sure." The guy with ginger hair replied as he extended a pack towards Alex who quickly took a stick out and grabbed the offered lighter before handing it back to the guy and giving a quick nod as thanks and walking a few meters away and putting his back against the wall.

Alex wasn't a regular smoker, he had never been one. However, he did smoke once in a while, either at parties or when he was having a particularly shitty day.

'If Bella sees this, she's going to lose her shit. If the Alex of this body was such a good guy that he never even said 'shit'. There is absolutely no way in hell that he ever smoked one. Honestly im envious, The guy's probably had one hell of a good life if he managed that.' Alex thought to himself as he released a soft chuckle at himself before throwing the half-burned stick of cancer on the ground and stomping it.

'Fuck, I have one more class after Biology II. It's gym however so it shouldn't be that bad. I calmed down a bit, I'm no longer shaking. That was illogical. They aren't going to kill me. They have no reason to. Though if I had gone to Biology? That could have actually happened, Edward was described as almost losing control during that class… if I happen to also be his blood singer just like Bella? Yeah… one was hard, two could have easily pushed him over the edge.' Alex thought as he crouched down and put his hand in his pocket taking out a flip phone.

He had found it on the desk and taken it with him, flipping it open, he saw the small screen light up.

'Does it have snake?' Alex thought to himself as he quickly looked through the phone before finding it.

"Hell yeah." He murmured with a soft smile as he stared at the icon.

Forty five minutes of playing Snake on the small flip phone later, the bell signaling the end of class finally rang.

Lifting his head and tearing his gaze away from the small flip phone screen, Alex released a soft sigh of relief as he flipped the phone closed and pocketed it.

Getting up from his spot where he had sat, he quickly dusted himself off and walked back towards the main entrance of the school, passing by the students who had given him a cigarette earlier, he merely gave another nod in thanks before entering inside the school silently.

The game had actually managed to take his mind off things and calm him down much more than the cigarette ever would have.

Walking down the hall towards his next class, Alex suddenly remembered…

'I totally forgot my backpack in lunch. Please tell me that Bella got it for me.' Alex thought as his shoulders slumped and he started walking towards the gym.

Students had already filled up the halls, laughing and talking with each other as they headed towards their next and final class for the day.

It didn't take long for Alex to arrive at the gym, for his PE class.

Looking ahead of him, he saw Bella and Mike waiting for him.

'Thank god, she actually got it for me.' Alex thought with relief as he saw Bella carrying her own and his backpack before turning his gaze towards Mike.

'I really think you should give up, I myself don't want to be anywhere near Bella, even if she is my sister in this life now. Hell, I don't want anything to do with those freaky sparkly death vampires.' Alex thought with a shudder as he walked towards them.

"Hey guys. Thanks for taking my backpack for me Bella, I totally forgot about it in lunch. Stomach hurt like hell." Alex said, his voice slightly pained, an act as he rubbed his stomach for additional effect and then grabbed his backpack from her hands.

"Yeah whatever, thank god you weren't in Biology, that Edward guy? You know the Cullen one? He acted super weird." Bella spoke, her voice was angry yet confused at the same time as her eyes glazed over slightly, likely remembering what had happened during the last class.

"Weird? How?" Alex asked curiously as he gave Mike a fist bump as a greeting and the three of them walked into the gym.

"Weird as in the dude looked like he wanted to be anywhere but near her. She got seated together with him on the same desk by the professor and he looked like he hated her guts throughout the entire class." Mike replied with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Yeah, and he kept holding his nose as if I smelled or something. I don't smell weird right?" Bella questioned as she grabbed her shirt and lifted it to her nose before shaking her head in confusion.

"No, you don't smell. I think he's just a weirdo or something or maybe he had a really bad stomach ache or something like that, who knows." Alex replied as the trio stopped right in the middle where they would each part for the girls or the boys changing room.

"Yeah maybe." Bella replied, still clearly thinking the situation over in her head, her voice soft and confused as she turned and headed towards the left where the Girls changing room was.

Mike gave a shrug of his own as he and Alex turned towards the right and walked to the boys own changing room. Heading inside, Alex had to instantly pinch his nose.

The smell was god awful, like something had died inside the room.

"What the fuck?" Alex murmured caused Mike who was besides him to laugh.

"Yeah, a rat or something died somewhere around here, i think its on top of the ceiling or something but no one's been able to find it yet. I think the schools going to be calling a team to look at it. Smells like shit." Mike said as he started changing.

Alex released a tired sigh as he opened a locker and put his backpack inside before realising.

'Right, I didn't get any gym equipment either. Wasn't really on my mind when i woke up in a completely different world. Not to mention that I only got my schedule today.' Alex thought to himself as he closed the locker and moved outside the changing room as quickly as he could.

'And for some dumb reason, I have the same exact classes every day for the rest of the semester. I didn't even know this was a thing in America.' Alex thought to himself as he walked to the side of the gym where some benches had been placed and sat down as students started getting out of the changing rooms. The professor had yet to come out.

'That means… Edward, in the same class, every damn day besides this first week for the rest of the semester. God save me.' Alex thought with dread.

Finally the professors office which was on the left side of the gym opened up and a man wearing sporty clothes came outside.

'Why are gym teachers always… fat? Even in a fictional world.' Alex thought absentmindedly as his mind wandered for a moment.

Thankfully gym passed swiftly, the gym professor gave Alex a spare pair of gym shoes though it wasn't as if Alex really participated much. The professor simply gave them instructions for a warm up before letting them play whatever they wanted which today seemed to be volleyball. Something Alex had absolutely no idea how to play and so he stood to the side and watched Bella fall over and over whilst somehow managing to hit her own teammates with the ball at the same time.


The other students quickly caught on as they stopped letting her hit the ball which seemed to actually please Bella as she released a soft sigh of relief.


*Riiiinnnggg*


With the sound of the final bell, the students quickly rushed to the changing rooms, changing back into their other clothes quickly before heading out of the gym.


Alex and Bella walked together down the halls towards the front entrance. They didn't make any small talk. It was clear Bella was still in her mind about Edward whilst Alex himself didn't really want to talk for various reasons, one of the main ones being that the more he talked, the more Bella would notice the obvious differences between him and the past owner of this body.


The second being, he actually enjoyed silence more than random small talk. That's how he had been his entire life, or well… his past life and that habit didn't seem to change even if his body did.


Before Alex could walk out of the front entrance, Bella grabbed him by his backpack.


"We have to go give the participation letters back to that secretary." She reminded him softly as she turned to walk towards the office.


Alex gave a quick nod of his head and started following her from behind, shaking his head once she wasn't looking towards him.


'How many more things am I going to forget today? I must really be damn stressed, I usually never forget anything. I don't even remember the last time that I forgot something before today.' Alex thought to himself as he shook his head, quickly dismissing the idea. I mean he had changed bodies, that didn't mean his mind was still the same, right…


Arriving at the secretary office, now inside of it instead of just at the booth. Alex and Bella were quickly met with the sight of Edward talking to the secretary.


"Im sorry, there really are no other open spots and you can't just switch out your class in the middle of the semester." The secretary spoke as she shook her head at Edward who seemed to be practically vibrating with anger.


As soon as Alex and Bella came inside, his head snapped towards them for a moment before he rushed out.


"Never mind then…" Was all he said as he disappeared out of the office.


'Good, great. One week without Edward.' Alex thought with an inward sigh of relief that he hid from Bella who clearly looked both shocked and utterly confused at his side.


"Let's just hand them over. Give me yours." Alex said as he extended his hand towards Bella who gave a mute nod, handing her own paper to Alex.


With both papers in hand, Alex quickly headed to the desk and gave them to the secretary.


"How did your first day at Forks High School go?" The woman asked with a smile as she looked at Alex and Bella, who were a few feet behind him, clearly lost in their head.


"It was great, made a few friends, everyone seems friendly enough," Alex replied as he gave a nod to the woman and turned, already walking away.


'Every human that is.' Alex thought to himself as he and Bella quickly headed out of the office and walked down the hall before exiting the main school building.


Walking outside, they felt tens of eyes on them, clearly, the shining effect of the transfer students hadn't faded in just a few hours.


"They're still looking at us as if they've never seen humans before," Bella mumbled under her breath as she and Alex walked to the orange truck, which clearly stood out in the parking lot, both the vibrant color and the size of it.


"Yeah? Well, we would probably act the same if we were raised in a town as small as this. Everyone knows everyone here, so I can't fault them for being curious about us. And we did sort of just transfer in the middle of the semester, that's pretty weird too." Alex replied as he grabbed the handle of his door and planted his feet firmly onto the ground before the door finally opened.


'There is no way in hell that Bella managed to open this door, well the passenger one. The driver side one is most likely in better condition as it's been opened more frequently so less rust.' Alex thought as he dropped the bag at his feet and lounged back on the chair before slamming the door closed.


*Bang*


The window seemed to rattle from the force of the door slamming closed.


"Alex! Are you trying to break the hinges?" Bella asked, her voice raised as she glared at him.


"Sorry, sorry. Let's just get going." Alex replied with a sheepish smile as he raised his hands in surrender.


At this moment, something else caught his eye.


A particular group of students on the other side of the parking lot were looking directly at him.


A group he knew better than most if not all the students here besides Bella herself.


The Cullens.


Amber eyes, clearly staring at his face, sending shivers down his spine that he hid, making sure he remained as stoic looking as possible as he stared back.


'Okay… dont act weird… what what would not acting weird be?' Alex thought to himself quickly before raising his hand and waving whilst showing a twitching half smile.


Instantly, Alice Cullen returned his smile with one of her own, though it looked creepy enough that Alex felt like he would most definitely see it again in his nightmares tonight.


'Fuck.'

'Yeah, the best way to not act weird is most definitely just waving at the vampires in a completely awkward way whilst im sweating, which they can most definitely see with their enhanced sense of sight, they can even probably smell my fear. Unfair advantage, cheaters.' Alex thought to himself as he turned away, the truck engine turned on as Bella started reversing out of the parking lot, taking quite a bit of time, clearly still not used to driving around with such a large truck.

'Come on bella, get your max verstappen persona on and get me the hell out of here.' Alex thought to himself, joking to calm his own nevers more than anything else.

The truck finally got properly on the road as Bella shifted gears and the truck launched itself forwards after a slight lag, driving ahead at speeds that felt completely different from the amount of noise that was being created by the engine.

If one only heard the sound, they would think that it was some kind of muscle car, already speeding away however the sight in reality was quite different from the fantasy. The truck was barely able to reach thirty miles an hour after quite a bit of time.

'Yeah, utilisation of possible future knowledge will be useful in changing my monetary situation, i've read a lot of books, so i could simply do plagiarism however that feels quite despicable, at best i should do it to people who are already rich and not someones first break off hit. Next is most obviously crypto but thats still atleast five years away and a dozen more years away for it to actually make me an incredible amount of money. Thats the plan, not like i know any other real ways to make money and neither do i have the capabilities or knowledge, It's not like i was some engineer or genius in my past life.' Alex thought to himself as he released a soft sigh of relief once they were fully out of the range of sight from Forks High School.

"So what are we doing today? I think we gotta call Renee right? Or should i just send her an email." Alex asked Bella as he turned towards her.

Bella still seemed to be deeply in her own thoughts as she drove, not responding for a moment before she took her head a bit back from the wheel and nodded, finally registering his words.

"Yeah we should probably do that, or she might just come over to Forks to see if we somehow died." Bella replies with a chuckle as she shook her head.

"Yeah, don't want that to happen. I'll just send her an email from the computer, don't really wanna be left on the phone for an hour, you can do that sis. I trust you." Alex replied with a wry smile.

'I have no idea what Renee is actually like or if she does long calls, I'm just going with every stereotype out there about mothers and rolling with it.' Alex thought to himself whilst he kept up his act on the outside.

'There's no real way for me to be found out as a fake Alex however, its still best to try and act as normal as possible and then slowly start showing more of my real self and less of this act, making sure that its seen only as Alex changing as he grows up in a new environment instead of a sudden drastic change. The fact that I'm new to this place is actually beneficial, because I dont actually know how the real Alex acted like, so its a somewhat flimsy cover thats still holding.' Alex thought to himself as he gazed out of the passenger car window.

Minutes passed and almost twenty minutes later, the two of them arrived infront of the Swan household.

Meanwhile on the complete opposite direction, in the edges of Forks inside the woods, stood a large woodland modern mansion inside of which a conversation was being held. People were talking about the two new Swan transfer students.

Alice Cullen aswell as Edward Cullen were seated in the sofa whilst the rest of the Cullens and Hales' were on the other sofa opposite to them or seated on the arm chair to the left of the couches.

"So you've found your blood singer? Are you planning on killing her? We won't judge, Emmet killed his." Rosalie Hale, the blond impossibly beautiful vampire said in an almost monotone voice from her position on the couch opposite to Edward, next to her, Emmet Cullen, the bear like stature of a man aswell as her lover.

"No, I don't plan on killing anyone, I'll be going to Alaska at the Denali coven for a while to gather my thoughts instead." Edward replied, his tone was slightly pained, almost mimicking the tone Jasper Hale held constantly.

"They're rather interesting. I think they have gifts. Edward can't read into either of their minds and I cant see the boy in any of my future visions, not a single one." Alice spoke up, her tone still bubbly but considerably more serious than she showed herself most of the time.

"You can't see him in any of your visions? Is he human?" Carlisle Cullen, A blond slick haired man with a similarly handsome face as the rest of the vampires spoke up. He was the head of the coven and the oldest vampire, he was the one who had turned Edward Cullen and Esme Cullen.

"Yes, he's human. He smells like a human atleast, im quite sure he is. And considering that humans are known to have gifts, thats the most likely explanation. Ofcourse we can't fully rule out the possibility that he is of a different race, however its not very likely." Alice replied with a nod of her head towards the man.

"Allright, then Edward will go to the Denali for however long he wishes until he's gathered himself. The rest of us will continue as usual." Carlisle replied, his voice was silky soft and smooth almost unnaturally so, clearly a side effect of vampirism, another way to lure in humans as predators.

The Cullens and Hales gave quick nods whilst Edward stood up and in a blur of motion, he disappeared out of the mansion already heading towards the Denali coven at tremendous supernatural speeds.

Back on the other side of Forks, The two Swan siblings were sitting around the dinner table, silent as they ate dinner, Charlie Swan had yet to return from his shift at the police station.
They remained oblivious to the conversation that had just happened specifically about them inside a vampire coven on the other side of the city.

The night passed peacefully in the Swan household. It was a quiet night. Charlie Swan returned home late at night from his shift at the police station, while Bella and Alex had already retreated to their own rooms. The clock slowly ticked towards midnight and then passed it as the moon moved across the sky.

Hours later, the first rays of the morning sun shone upon the treeline of Forks. The animal nightlife activity started to dwindle, and the animals of the day started waking up. The sound of birds and squirrels could be heard all around the Swan household, situated at the edge of the asphalt road and surrounded by the forest on all sides. It was a good location as it was quite close to downtown Forks and also had easy access to the roads leading away from the town.

Inside the house, in Alex Swan's room, Alex himself was waking up as his limbs stretched unconsciously and he released a long winded yawn.

Opening his eyes slowly, he quickly froze in shock as he took in the room for a few seconds before releasing a soft sigh as he calmed down.

'Right... im inside the world of twilight, inside a fictional world… as Alex Swan… Bella Swan's brother…' Alex thought to himself, releasing a soft sigh as he gathered his wits and got up from the bed.

'Last night went somewhat well at least, Bella didn't really talk much and Charlie only returned after i had already headed to bed so I didn't have to deal with talking to him. He isn't really someone i have to worry about however considering that he hasn't seen me in years, I can chalk up all the differences to the fact that i grew up and all the memories that I don't have? Yeah i just forgot them.' Alex thought as he opened the closet drawer and started sifting through the different pairs of clothes to find something he found appropriate enough to wear.

'He… his style of fashion is so… bland.' Alex thought as he looked at the normal sets of blue jeans and a few black ones aswell as shirts and sweaters that were completely monotone in color.

'No band tee's… no ripped jeans… nothing, not even a good tshirt or maybe a suit that you can combine with jeans or a scarf or anything really. There's nothing. This looks like the closet of someone living in arizona thats for sure, there's no clothes here that would be good for a rainy or cold day in Forks.' Alex thought with a soft sigh that clearly showed his depression at the past Alex's choices.

Deciding that he couldn't really do anything about it at the moment and he didn't have the time to. He quickly put on a pair of slightly faded black jeans and a old black turtleneck sweater before starting to look through his backpack and the school books.

'Right, what do i have today… The… the same… right.. Its the same schedule every damn day.' Alex thought in depression as he quickly put his backpack to the side and headed to the bathroom to finish his morning routine. Walking outside his room, he quickly heard the sound of what likely was a fork and knife scraping on a plate.

'Seem's like Charlie's already awake, and from the sound of rummaging coming from the next door over, Bella is too.' Alex thought as he walked inside the bathroom and quickly started to clean up his appearance as best as he could.

A few minutes later, getting out of the bathroom, Alex quickly grabbed his backpack that he had left just outside the bathroom and headed downstairs. He could already what the sound of talking.

"How was school yesterday Bells" Charlie asked, his voice was a bit forced as if it hadn't been used in a long while, it didn't sound too strange however one could tell it was a bit different.

'Likely from not talking a lot with people ever since his divorce or probably that he hasn't talked with new people in a familiar way, most likely only keeps close contact with billy black.' Alex thought to himself as he chose this moment to head downstairs.

Arriving there, as he expected he saw both Bella Swan and Charlie Swan sitting at the dinning table eating breakfast. Bella was quietly eating a bowl of cereal whilst Charlie himself was eating some leftover pizza.

"Goodmorning." Alex said aloud as he gave the duo a quick wave of his hand in greeting and walked to the couch, slouching down almost instantly before realising a yawn.

"You aren't a morning person are ya. Alex." Charlie said with a chuckle as he turned his body slightly so he could face Alex who was seated behind him in the living room.

"Yeah, never really appreciated mornings." Alex replied lazily as he brought out his flip phone and started a new game of snake.

"Says the person who kept waking up at four am in the morning for the entirety of last year because he thought it would make him more productive." Bella murmured to herself as she shook her head, clearly in disbelief at him.

'Woke up at four am? What was this past Alex guy smoking, was he on crack?' Alex thought to himself with an involuntary shudder at the mere thought of four am alarm clocks.

"Yeah well I'm a changed man." Alex replied aloud instead.

"Sure… Anyways, Shouldn't you be heading to work by now dad? It's getting pretty late." Alex asked as he turned towards Charlie, and motioned to the wall clock situated above the tv in the living room with his hand.

Charlie's head couldn't have swerved faster as the man practically jumped to his feet.

"Right, I completely lost track of time. I left you some pizza in the microwave aswell Alex if you want. Or you could make something else. I'll get going now. Be careful." Charlie said as he walked off towards the front door, shrugging on his police jacked quickly before putting on his shoes and walking out.

A few moments later, the sound of his police cruiser's engine was heard as it turned on and Charlie drove away.

"Well he left. Anyway's how much time left before we gotta head to school?" Alex asked Bella with a clear lazy inflection to his voice as he got up slowly and walked to the microwave, grabbing the plate with the leftover pizza and starting to stuff his face.

"Almost an hour, get ready though, get ready by then so we can head out immediately on time Alex!" Bella said as she got up having already eaten and headed upstairs to her room.



"Sure." Alex replied in a soft voice that barely carried over as he finished eating his leftover pizza and got up himself, walking towards the front door and heading outside for some fresh air on the porch, Alex suddenly found something strange.



'Huh… since when could I see this well?' Alex thought slightly confused as he looked at the forest on the other side of the road from the house, it felt like his vision was somewhat more clear, as if he had been seeing in lower resolution until this morning.



'It's almost like i put on glasses, like back in my old body when i wore prescription glasses for the first time.' Alex thought to himself as he rubbed his eyes unconsciously to see if his mind was simply playing tricks on him.



'Maybe I just never noticed the good sight of this body since i was so focused on all the others supernatural shenanigans of my reincarnation and the vampire bullshit.' Alex thought with a hum to himself as he grabbed his pair of shoes and quickly tied them on before walking towards the forest.



"A walk in the forest, havn't done this before really, weren't that many forests around my place back in my world." Alex murmured as he walked through the greenery of the forest, it was clearly still wet from the rain during the night however this seemed to only intensify the smell of the pine wood.



'Sure does smell nice as hell though.' Alex thought to himself as he walked, before he stopped once more.



'My smell too… am i supposed to have this good of a sense of smell?' Alex thought as he started seeing another strange addition that he hadn't noticed before.



'Just… what is going on.' Alex thought as he concentrated further, even closing his eyes as he focused on his smell.



A mere moment later, his eyes snapped open in pure shock.



For but a moment when his eyes had been closed, his sense of smell had been strengthened immensely. However that hadn't been the shocking part.



It had been the fact that his brain had automatically formed a image of everything around him inside his mind from the smell of the objects alone, it had been similar to a 3D map of everything around him.



'What the actual fuck! That's not normal, that's not normal at all.' Alex thought as his hands shook slightly from the shock.



Looking down at his own hands, shock still coursing through his mind, his eyes suddenly fixated on another detail that had changed seemingly overnight.



His skin, it was getting paler, it was most definitely paler than it had been when he had fallen asleep last night.



'This body… its changing. Skin paling, supernatural sense of smell and a close to supernatural sense of sight… what's happening. Is is this body not human?' Alex thought as his mind instantly wandered towards the supernatural.



It was only normal to think as such, this was a world that had real vampires and shapeshifters and even werewolves inhabiting it, him being a supernatural creature himself wasnt too far out of the question.



'If I am one, the question is just what kind of creature am I exactly and is the transformation only just beginning?' Alex thought as he flexed his hand whilst looking at it.



He didn't feel any changes on the control of his body, his body actually felt completely normal, it was only the changes to the senses and the color of his skin paling slight that had given him hints of something clearly not normal happening to him.



'I'll have to check it out tomorrow, see if the changes continue growing, paleness of the skin is related to vampires or as their called the Cold One's in this world. It would be really really fucking bad if i was one, first of all the fucking sparkling, second of all Human blood, If im a newly transformed one than I would have absolutely no control over my bloodlust. However that shouldn't be likely, the transformation if it is one, is happening too slowly and there isn't any feeling of pain that happens when one transforms into a cold one from the poison. And its clearly not a wolf shifter one either… just what is this.' Alex thought as he quickly analysed the aspects of the other supernaturals that he knew of.



'There could be more kinds of creatures in this world that I don't know of, afterall the movies and books mostly talked about the shifters and vampires and there was just a little bit of talk about the werewolves who where called the children of the moon. There was no other mention of any other kind of supernatural creature, but that doesn't mean they can't exist.' Alex thought as he released a sigh and shook his head.



'Lets just head back for now, there isn't much information that I have available and overthinking it will do me no good, at this point I can only wait and observe the changes as they happen, if they do happen at all.'



Walking back towards the direction of the Swan house, Alex's expression was completely different from the one he had when he had entered the forest or when he had been eating.



Gone was the childish jokes and laughs or even the act of pretending to be someone he wasn't. This took much higher priority in his mind and to his own frustration there was nothing he could do but wait.

Arriving back at the swan residence, it didn't take long for Alex and Bella both to get ready and hop into the old orange truck and start driving toward Forks High School.



The ride there didn't take even an hour before they arrived at the parking lot and Bella pulled into a spot before turning the car off.



"You got everything right? Don't tell me you forgot something now because we are not going back." Bella said as she turned to give Alex a half hearted glare.



"I've got everything, don't worry, let's just get going." Alex replied as he quickly grabbed the backpack from where he had left it in between his legs and put it on one shoulder before opening the door with his other hand and getting outside and slamming the door closed.



Looking around quickly, his eyesight now clearly much more improved and he could notice the difference instantly as his eyes scanned the tens upon tens of students in an instant almost before they landed on a silver volvo and a red jeep.



'Seem's like Edward isn't coming to school for around a week and will be staying at the denali coven in Alaska just like in the books.' Alex thought to himself as he released a soft sigh of relief at the knowledge that thankfully his addition to the plotline hadn't already sent it so far left that Edward would be coming to decapitate both him and his sister.



"Alright Bells, let's go already." Alex said as he turned behind to look at Bella trying to lock the car and failing miserably.



"I Think dad shouldn't have gifted you a car in the first place." Alex murmured as he walked to her and offered his hand and waited patiently until she finally gave up with a grunt of pure anger as she shoved the car keys in his hands.



Grabbing them and turning to the car lock, he easily put it inside the hole and twisted the key.



"How? Just how?" Bella asked utterly confused, her anger seemed to only be resing with each second.



"Luck. Here." Alex replied as a smirk grew on his face and he handed the car keys back before using his hand to fix the position of his backpack over his shoulder and started walking towards the school.



As the two Swan siblings continued walking towards the entrance of the highschool. One of them, specifically Alex made sure to keep his sight down and low so that he wouldn't end up looking at anyone, or more specifically the Cullens or Hales whilst the other Bella was actively looking for one specific Cullen that seemed to have gone missing.



"He's not here." Bella muttered to herself as she walked alongside Alex.



"Who's not here?" Alex asked, feigning confusion in his voice.



"That Edward guy." Bella replied as she shook her head.



"Why are you even so caught up on that guy? He's not here? Great, means less of a headache for you and for me because now I dont have to deal with you being all confused about why he looked like you smelled like piss and shit. Great day for everyone!" Alex replied with a happy smile as they walked.



"You didn't have to say that…" Bella said as her face scruched up at the words he used to describe how Edward had looked at her.



"I mean was i wrong?" Alex asked with a grin in turn.



"You… annoying bastard." Bella replied as she hit his shoulder with her own causing him to stumble slightly and start laughing.



"Sure, sure keep laughing. Let's see who's gonna be laughing when I dont make any dinner for him tonight."



"No, come on Bella, It was just a joke! A joke!" Alex exclaimed quickly showing an exaggerate expression of betrayal as he followed behind his sister who kept walking on ahead with her head held high.



Meanwhile behind them on the other side of the parking lot, a group of cold ones had been observing them since they had entered into the parking lot with the truck.



"Great day for anyone indeed!" Emmet said as he started laughing, his entire body shaking and his voice just a tad too loud, causing the blonde haired woman next to him, Rosalie Hale to instantly jab her elbow into his stomach however it didn't seem to have any effect on the bear stature man as he simply continued laughing for a few more seconds.



"I don't get it, Bella Swan doesn't interest me much, though… she will be important in the future… but that Alex Swan… why does he feel like that…" Alice Cullen muttered to herself, too lowly for even the senses of her vampire siblings to hear, her eyes were decidedly fixed on Alex's back until he finally vanished behind the front door of the school.



"Let's get going ourselves, you and I have gym for first class Emmet." Jasper Hale spoke, his voice gravelly and low, clearly sounding suppressed as if he was holding something back, in this case it was his bloodlust from the smell of the tens of humans in close proximity to him.



"Right, yeah lets get goin." Emmet replied as he shook his head one last time before starting to walk towards the front entrance of the school.



The rest of the Cullens and Hale's following behind him. The students that were infront of them parting and giving them way as soon as they saw them, or more like as soon as they felt them.



Vampires had a certain effect on regular humans, it was similar to how prey understood well who its predator was on an instinctual level.

The first few classes of the day passed peacefully, though Alex had to do his best to actually concentrate on the material that was being taught which proved to be quite the difficult task when one recently discovered that they had supernatural senses and abilities.



Finally after the first two classes of the day were over, the bell rang signaling the start of lunch.



Getting up from his chair and slinging his backpack over one shoulder, he quickly headed towards the cafeteria, as he walked along the hallways casually dodging the incoming students from different directions as they rushed towards either the bathrooms, the cafeteria or to the outside of the school.



He was doing a fine job at it until he was stopped as he bumped into someone.



Too distracted into his own thoughts, Alex didn't even stop as he simply gave a small nod.



"Sorry, bout that, wasn't really looking." Alex said aloud as he tried to move past only to be stopped once more. Finally getting out of his thoughts, Alex turned his attention to who was in front of him and the sight caused his entire body to freeze cold for a moment.



There, right in front of him stood someone he knew well, more than most people in this world, more than even the father of the body he was currently in.



With short black hair and amber eyes and extremely pale skin and a petite figure.



It was Alice Cullen who was currently looking at him directly in the eyes as she stood mere inches away from him.



"Oh no worries, I'm Alice by the way. Alice Cullen, you must be the new student right? Alex Swan." Alice said with a smile as she extended her hand towards him.



"Ah yeah, Alex. Nice to meet you Alice, sorry about bumping into you really, I should have been more focused but my brains just been a jungle these past few days, new school and location y'know?" Alex said aloud, making sure to keep his voice as steady as he could whilst on the inside he was already panicking.



'Fuck… I don't want anything to do with you vampires, just get the hell out of my way and let me live my carefree, completely mundane human life.' Alex thought inwardly as he forced a soft smile on his face.



"It's totally fine! I'm a complete scatter brain too most of the time. You heading to the cafeteria?" Alice asked as she gave him a joyful smile in turn, it would have appeared normal to any regular human however to the new senses of Alex, it didn't look like a regular smile. It looked completely forced.



'Your lips keep twitching, is it that hard to maintain a damn smile. Why are you even talking with me in the first place, I made sure to act completely normal. Or is it because Edward can't read my thoughts?' Alex thought instantly as he gazed at the small woman before him for a moment without replying before nodding his head.



"Yeah, heading to the cafeteria." Alex replied simply.



"Me too! Let's go together! And I'm interested in getting to know the new student y'know? There aren't a lot of newcomers in Forks, it's usually quite boring." Alice said instantly as she grabbed his hand and started practically dragging him with her.



'She's strong even though she's not using any supernatural level strength, it's still strange, a woman of her size, a human atleast shouldn't be able to drag me this easily. However Alice has no memories of her human self so she most likely doesn't realise what her regular strength output should be. At least she learned enough to be able to not harm humans.' Alex thought to himself as he followed her.



"So Alex, why did you decide to come to Forks?" Alice asked as she turned her head towards him whilst they walked down the hall towards the cafeteria.



"Well my mom and her new boyfriend wanted to have some time together and me and my sister didn't want to disrupt them and so we left and came here to our dad. Honestly this place doesn't seem that bad, quiet and the air isn't too cold, and the forest certainly is great, all the greenery makes the air quite clean in comparison to the air in phoenix Arizona." Alex replied as he continued keeping pace with the small bundle of unstoppable energy that was practically dragging him forwards.



"You know I won't run away right? You dont have to drag me." Alex said, trying to make a joke about it however his voice fell flat.



"Well… I don't know that for certain now do I? Still gotta know you better before I know that you won't run so until then lets do this!" Alice replied with a giggle as they finally arrived at the entrance of the cafeteria.



Opening the large doors, the two headed inside, the instant that they did, the entire cafeteria went silent for a moment as the students turned towards them. Their eyes widening as they gazed at the pair.



The new student was popular especially since it hadn't been long since they had transferred however even Alex wouldn't have caused this lull in conversation alone. The reason for it was because this popular new student walked inside with a Cullen. And the Cullens never even talked with anyone besides themselves and now here was this new guy holding hands with Alice Cullen. To say the students were shocked would be an understatement.



"They're looking." Alex murmured.



"I know, isn't it cute?" Alice replied with a giggle.



'No it's not cute, damned pixie.' Alex thought inwardly feeling slightly embarrassed.

Alex didn't even really get a choice, as he was moved towards a free table at the end of the cafeteria and practically forced to sit down by the small vampire.

'It's fine, she's like this. She was always described as wanting to make friends. Yes, I'm just the new interesting transfer student who is completely normal and hot and sexy, and that's most definitely the reason why she is doing this… a man can always hope.' Alex thought to himself inwardly, already feeling like he had three large stones on top of his head pressuring him.

"So, Alex! Tell me more about yourself, a girl can get curious, y'know? You have this mysterious air around you." Alice said as she sat opposite him at the table.

"Mysterious? Me? I don't think I'm particularly mysterious, though, just a regular guy with some slight family issues that ended up in this place and is trying desperately to fit in, but you're not making it that easy, Miss Cullen, who's apparently one of the most famous people in the entire high school. I'd say you're much more mysterious than I am." Alex replied with a weak chuckle as he crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked down at her, even sitting down, the height difference was quite clear.

"Mysterious? Me? I don't think I'm particularly mysterious, though." Alice said, repeating the same words he had used, as her smile grew wider, this time it seemed to look more genuine, even to Alex's newly supernatural eyesight.

"Well yeah, if you weren't, then why is practically every single person in this cafeteria right now looking over at us discreetly? Though they are failing at their stealth quite spectacularly, if I have to say so myself." Alex replied as he got slightly less tense himself and leaned slightly forward towards her.

"They're just busybodies, and I'm not someone who's lived here my entire life either, so they get curious about me as well, though mostly it used to be people asking me out, and after they realised that I don't actually want anything to do with romance, they kinda decided to give me the loner and weirdo nickname. People can be quite petty sometimes." Alice replied with a shrug as she similarly leaned a bit closer.

"Ah yes… the usual method of if I get rejected, then it's her fault for not being able to see the treasure of gold that I am, and she must most definitely be some kind of perverted weirdo freak or something along those lines. Happens quite a lot. People used to be like that in Phoenix High School as well, though there were some differences." Alex said in turn.

"Oh? What were the differences?" Alice asked curiously, her eyes gleaming in a way that instantly put up Alex's guard once again.

'Stop looking at me like that, that gleam looks dangerous. It probably isn't, but damn it, you're the human predator here. And I mean it in a literal way and not in the perverted kid way.' Alex thought to himself as he forced his body to keep still and not shiver from the sight.

"Well, usually there were two different outcomes, the first one was that the person who got confessed to was famous and already had an inner circle of their own, and they were fine, and it was in actuality the person who confessed that got shamed for being rejected. That was usually the case, and then there was the second outcome where they were a new student or someone without a big enough friend group, maybe someone that was an introvert. In that case, well, they got bullied, called names, and all the sorts. The main difference between there and here, though, is that whilst you do get called names, you don't get bullied in your face, so they're still afraid of you or at least of your brothers and sister enough that they don't dare to do so, or maybe they're even secretly afraid of you. Who knows, really, I'm just speculating here." Alex replied aloud as he gave a shrug.

'Ding ding… correct.' Alice thought inwardly as her lips curled just the slightest bit more upwards.

'The question now is… why do you not actually feel afraid of me? Are you just too good at hiding it? I can't detect anything from you right now, not even a twitch, nothing. Yesterday it was clear as day, you were even sweating, and yet now… there's nothing.' Alice thought to herself, her curiosity about the boy in front of her only growing more and more with each second.

"Then do you not find me scary? I can totally be scary!" Alice said on the outside as she made a goofy scary face and raised her hands as if she had claws.

"Hahaha… nah, you're too small to be scary," Alex replied with a chuckle.

'I'm fucking scared as fuck. Stop making claws, I bet those fingers could rip my flesh and skin right off my bones, fuck. Just go on your way to your family of cold emo vampires and leave me alone with my freak-outs about my own changing weird freak supernatural body.' Alex thought inwardly, in complete contradiction to the words that he had spoken on the outside.

"Well then, Alex, It's fun talking with you, but my family seems to want me to go to them, and your sister is staring daggers into the back of your head. See you later?" Alice said as she got up from her chair.

"Sure! Next time." Alex replied instantly as he got up from his own chair, almost releasing a sigh of relief that his hell was coming to an end.

"Right, can you hand me your phone? I'll put my number in. We can text later!" Alice said, her words implying a request however, before Alex could even utter a response, her hand had already slid into his pocket and wrenched the flip phone out…

'That's not what a request is… that's a damn statement.'

Flipping the phone on, Alice's fingers were almost a blur as she quickly navigated the menu like it was the back of her hand before handing it back to Alex, who was still staring dumbfounded.

"Right… uh yeah, texting sure…" Alex said awkwardly as he grabbed the phone back from her hand and slipped it back into his pocket.

"Well then I'm going, Alexie! Cya later~!" Alice said as she gave a wave of her hand and walked away towards a table that was to the right and a bit farther back from where they had been, the table that the Cullens usually held. Alex's eyes looked past her at the table, there he saw the rest of the Cullens besides Edward, who hadn't come to school today, already looking in his direction.

Some of them had smiles, well, one of them did. Emmet Cullen had this shit-eating grin on his face that clearly told everyone that he was enjoying this moment more than he had any right to.

Whilst Rosalie Hale looked like she wanted to be anywhere but here and preferably for Alex himself to go jump off a cliff, her brother Jasper Hale meanwhile was looking at him with that same pained expression that was a constant on his face, though his eyes clearly showed a gleam of curiosity.

Giving them a quick nod in acknowledgement, Alex turned instantly and started walking back towards his usual table, where he sat with Bella and the rest of her friends. Alex still didn't really consider anyone in this world his friend, nor did he think of them as anything more than just people. It was hard for him to distinguish and make the difference between reality and them as real people with emotions and their fictional counterparts most of the time.

However, that was only when facing regular people, when he faced Alice or any of the other supernaturals that he knew could kill him before he could blink? His body reacted more than enough for him to know that he was, in fact, standing before a life-ending threat that had sat mere inches away from him, looked him in the eye, joked with him and then given him their phone number.

'What has my life turned into… conversing with fictional… I mean real ass vampires… living inside a damn book… I'm actually somewhat thankful that they're the sparkly kind and not the turning into bats kind… actually scratch that, I'd prefer the bat kind, burning in the sun kind over these guys who practically have no damn weakness.' Alex thought as he arrived at the table and swiftly sat down next to his sister.

As soon as he did, he instantly felt the entire table's participants turn their attention towards him, their eyes were blazing with a million questions. He could already tell that much without even looking at them.

"You want to know what that was about, don't you?" Alex asked with a sigh as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Want to know? We want to know every damn thing, Alex!" Jessica said instantly in reply as she almost jumped out of her chair in excitement.

"Bro, Alice Cullen, a Cullen! Talked to you willingly, she gave you her damn number!" Mike Newton said in turn, his voice a bit too high, causing people from other tables to gaze over at them.

"Lower your voice, Mike, and it's not that crazy, she was just curious about the new student, just like the rest of you were," Alex replied in a hushed voice whilst making a motion with his hand, clearly telling him to lower his voice.

'God… it's creepy that I know for a fact, all of those sparklies can hear everything I'm saying clearly.' Alex thought inwardly as his body shivered slightly.

"So? Spill the details already", Jessica said, not even caring about his reprimand.

Alex took a deep breath and released a soft sigh as he leaned back in his chair and looked at the people in front of him.

Jessica leaned forward, her eyes clearly demanding. Mike and Eric, as well as Angela, were basically doing the same thing and even his own sister Bella, whilst looking like she wasn't as interested, had a gleam in her eye that clearly told the complete opposite.

"Well, I was walking down the hall whilst coming to the cafeteria when I bumped into her. We chatted for a bit and then walked to the cafeteria and then continued, just stuff about why I'm here, how I'm finding Forks, regular casual stuff. Really, there was nothing more to say about it. In the end, she gave me her number, probably just as a formality, don't think she will actually text me or anything. Most likely just wanted to act nice to the new student." Alex said as he shook his head.

"Awwhhh man, and here I was waiting for some kind of crazy confession," Eric said with a sigh as he shook his own head, his shoulders slumping.

The rest of the table seemed to share his thoughts as they similarly leaned back in their chair, their curiosity finally gone as they turned to continue whatever they had been talking about before Alex had rejoined them at the table.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the cafeteria, Alice Cullen had a small, barely noticeable smile on her face.

"Won't text you? Oh… how wrong can one person be?" Alice muttered to herself as her eyes gleamed in what could only be called pure mischief.

"You're planning something fun, aren't you, Alice?" Emmet asked instantly with a grin as he bumped her shoulder with his.

"Fun? Yeah… I guess it will be fun." Alice said with a chuckle as her smile widened ever so slightly.

The next few hours passed peacefully, Alex headed out of the school at the end of the classes together with Bella as they walked down the parking lot towards the orange truck.



What Alex didn't expect was for Alice to already be waiting there for him, leaning her back against the truck passenger door.



"Seem's like she's waiting for you Alex." Bella said as she tried to discreetly point with her head.



"Yeah… I can tell that much, I'm not blind." Alex grumbled as he walked ahead towards her.



"So what is it this time, oh mysterious Alice." Alex said as he stood before her.



"I just wanted to ask if you wanted to go to downtown Forks tonight? Grab some pizza or something, I could show you around the good spots since your new." Alice said with a smile on her face.

"I guess? Sure, I don't mind. That would be nice." Alex replied as he held back a sigh.



'Downtown, she won't kill me. She's a Cullen, It's strange, the more time that I'm spending with her or in close proximity with her, the less scary she seems. Maybe i was overreacting?' Alex thought inwardly before a thought hit him.



'Is… is it because im changing? Humans have an instinctive fear of vampires… but if im becoming something else than that irrational fear… is going away aswell.' Alex thought, the idea didn't give him any relief however, It only terrified him more than ever, he was changing both physically and mentally and he had no control over it, none whatsoever.



"Thats great! Then I'll come pick you up at seven, its a date!" Alice said with a wide smile as she ran away whilst waving.



"Date? What do you mean a date and how do you even know where I live?" Alex asked confused and flustered as he stared at the vampire running away.



"Everyone knows everyon in Forks, and Charlie Swan is chief of the police y'know? Quite the famous guy around town." Alice replied with a laugh that sounded like bells jingling as she cotninued on her way towards the other Cullens and Hale's.



'Damn… that was a dumb question. But a date? With a vampire? She doesn't mean it, just acting.' Alex thought as he turned and opened the truck passenger door.



Turning his head towards Bella who had stayed farther away to give them some privacy, he waved her over with his hand and a nod.



Getting inside the car, he waited for a few moments before Bella came and sat on the driver seat and turned the car on.



As soon as they were out of the school parking lot, Bella instantly started her sibling interrogation.



"So? What was that about? Tell me, come on! Spill the details! You said nothing happened in lunch but clearly something is happening Alex!" Bella said as she instantly rambled a dozen questions almost not even breathing at all as she spewed them all out.



"Alright, calm down. I don't get why you're this excited anyway. She asked me if I wanted to head downtown in Forks with her tonight, just to show me around the city and she was heading there anyways so she thought it would be a good time as ever to show me around. Nothing else, just friends going out." Alex said as he released a sigh, shaking his head.



'Yeah… there is no way I'm telling her what Alice said. I would never hear the end of it, if she's this excited just from watching from afar… god if she ever knew it would be miserable…' Alex thought inwardly as he suppressed a shiver at the mere thought.



Half an hour later, they arrived back at the Swan house, the time was still early, only half past four in the afternoon.



Parking the orange truck, the two siblings got out of the car and headed into the house, splitting ways as soon as they were inside. Alex directly headed upstairs and into his room whilst Bella couldn't seem to wait even for a single moment as she rushed towards the Kitchen.



She had practically eaten nothing all day, the food in Fork's highschool cafeteria was abysmal to say the least.



Meanwhile inside his room, Alex quickly slung his backpack from his shoulder and threw it onto his bed and instantly walked towards his closet and opened it with a bit too much force, the wooden frame cracking slightly.



'I didn't even… my strength is increasing too.' Alex thought as his fingers trembled slightly, he hadn't even tried to use any more strength than what he used usually however the effect had clearly been different.



Deciding to not think of it right now as he could do nothing still, he continued his search for appropriate clothes.



'What should I wear? Just casual stuff? Yeah, let's do that. No need to overcomplicate nothing.' Alex thought as he grabbed a all black hoodie, and a pair of black sweatpants before placing them on the bed.



Turning around, he quickly headed towards the bathroom to shower, opening the door and heading inside before locking it, Alex started undressing himself as he hummed a calming song that his mother from his past life had sung to him when he had been a child.



Everything seemed well, atleast until his gaze landed on the mirror.



Nothing, there was nothing on the mirror and that was the most frightening part.



'No… no way… this isn't happening.' Alex thought as he instantly grabbed the discarded clothes from the ground and shoved them towards the mirror, they didn't appear on the reflection at all.



His hand unclenched from shock, the clothes leaving his hand, as soon as they did, their reflection appaeraed on the bathroom mirror.



'Vampire.' Alex thought instantly a mere moment later, his eyes widened and his body frozen.

'Vampire.' Alex thought instantly a mere moment later, his eyes widened and his body frozen.



A mere moment later, he instinctually took a step back, hitting his legs against the corner of the laundry machine causing his body to buckle and fall down to the ground. He didn't register the small pain that he felt, his eyes still fixated on the mirror infront of him.



'No… no no no… this is bad, so fucking bad!' Alex thought to himself as his hands started shaking immensely, his pupils in a similar state, his vision turning slightly blurry,



For a few moments that felt like an eternity inside his mind, Alex felt like he couldn't breathe, he felt powerless in his own body, his mind turning blank.



Thankfully a few moments later, Bella's voice was heard from downstairs asking what the loud cashing noise had been, that seemed to snap Alex out of his stupor as he quickly used his hands to grab the laundry machine for support as he lifted himself up from the ground.



"Everything's fine Bella, Just slipped, but I didn't get hurt or anything." Alex said loudly in reply, barely managing to keep his voice as stable as he wanted it to.



"Okay! Be careful!" Bella said from downstairs before silence once more enveloped the bathroom.



'Think… think… what do i do? This is bad, but It might not be that that bad. My mind is thinking Vampire, like the vampires in the stories, not the sparkly kind. Side effects, drinking blood is mandatory, human blood. I can't be seen in mirrors, I can't go inside houses unless invited inside… I cant stand out in the sun or i burn to ash. One of them is clear… but I don't have any cravings for blood and I havn't needed to get invited inside somewhere to head inside… but maybe its because im still not fully transformed? Or maybe they're just not side effects… please.' Alex thought to himself, his mind struggling to grasp at any point of hope that he could, even if it meant hoping for something whilst everything else pointed in the other direction.



He was being transformed, his changes were happening quicker and quicker and whilst he didn't show those specific side effects yet, there was no telling that they wouldn't appear and soon. And that would be an utter disaster.



'Bella, Charlie… or even someone else, someone in school. What if I start developing bloodlust whilst in the middle of class or whilst im having dinner with Bella and Charlie… no… I don't want to kill people.' Alex thought as his hands moved to his sides, giving himself a self hug unconsciously as he tried to stop the tremors that were going through his body yet the action did nothing to comfort him, it only made it that he could more precisely feel just how much he was shaking.



"Fuck… I have to do something. I'm going out with Alice tonight… maybe I could tell her? Tell the Cullens? And how do i do that exactly? Like hey Alice, I know your a sparkly vampire girl whos actually a vegetarian and really nice and I kinda need your help because I think im a storybook vampire who might or might not lose control in the future and eat his own family and friends. Yup… great idea." Alex muttered to himself before he decided to take a long deep breath through his nose and slowly exhale it from his mouth.



Repeating this motion for a few minutes before he finally felt his heartrate slowly start to calm down.



'I can practically hear my heart in my ears, is it because it was beating so fast or is it because of my new senses, which one… which one damn it.' Alex thought to himself, before shaking his head as he turned to the shower and headed inside the small stall before turning the water on, as high as his body could take with it not burning his skin as he showered.



Letting the hot almost boiling water calm him down slowly as mist slowly but surely enshrouded the entirety of the bathroom.



Almost half an hour later, he heard sharp knocks on the bathroom door from the outside.



"Alex! You've been there for almost half a damn hour, leave some water for the rest of us!" Bella shouted before practically stomping away.



Lifting his hand, Alex turned the shower water off before slowly heading out of the shower cabin and grabbing a body towel and wrapping it around his lower body and heading out of the bathroom, walking directly to his own bedroom and locking the door from the inside.



*sigh*



'Okay, I do have to tell Alice, if not for myself than for Bella and Charlie, they've been nice enough since I transmigrated here… and even if they hadn't been… I just can't risk killing a human… I dont want to become a murderer.' Alex thought inwardly as he rummaged through his closet, grabbing a pair of blue boxers with sponge bob plastered all over them and wearing them before putting on a pair of black jeans and a plain white sweater and then putting on a thin black jacket over his shoulders.



Running a hand over his hair, he roughly styled in a side part before grabbing a pair of socks and putting them on.



'A date, with Alice Cullen, a fictional vampire. A date in which im going to tell this fictional vampire that I am similarly a fictional vampire though of a possibly different sort… oh god.' Alex thought in a voice that inside his own mind sounded to be filled with pure despair at the upcoming event.

I've currently got three fan fictions going, Twilight Gamer, This one and Naruto Simulation Gamer, I'm thinking of starting a fourth one as well, around maybe a week from now, since I'm trying to make fan fictions my job, its what I love doing so yeah tell me some ideas you have and I might consider them. Turning to look at the mirror to see how well he had cleaned up… Alex felt like he wanted to face palm right at that very moment.



'Right… totally forgot that I can't actually see my self on here.' Alex thought inwardly as he felt like slapping himself right in the face before he turned around and walked downstairs.

"Hey Bells, I'm goin out for a while. With… Alice." Alex said slightly awkwardly, he didn't really want to tell Bella about the date but there really was no point in hiding it or trying to hide it, she would know sooner or later, the main reason why he hesitated in the first place was the fact that he knew for sure that she would be holding this over his head for the next while.



"Alice? Ohohoho." Bella said as she started smiling an almost cheshire cat grin as she walked closer to him and then lightly bumped him with her shoulder.



"You dumbass, you already told me about it. Are you so excited about it that your entire heads messed up? Thinkin your gonna get lucky?" Bella asked with a giggle, her tone clearly giddy as she looked at Alex with an expression that clearly told Alex, she would be holding this over him for the rest of the semester, just as he had feared.



"I… I was just thinking about other stuff and it slipped my mind. Don't overthink stuff so much Bella. Like It's just an outing to show me around the city. Besides, I saw how you were looking at that Edward guy, you're not one to talk to me about this, and I wasn't even looking at Alice like that, unlike what you were doing to Edwardo boy." Alex says back almost instantly, his voice at first starting slightly awkward before gaining strength as he tried to turn it onto her, the best defense in any argument in Alex's opinion was attack afterall.



'Why let them win a logical argument, just start attacking them… though I do kinda sound like a dumbass for that but it works. It definitely works in the real world.' Alex thought to himself as he saw Bella's face slowly redden as a blush appeared all over her face.



"Oh? Are you bluuusshiiin~? I the great Bella Swan blushing at the mention of a boy? I didn't blush about Aliceee." Alex says instantly, not letting her even get a breather as he starts poking her cheek only for him to accidentally push her head much farther back than he intended as his finger froze.



Bella's expression similarly froze before turning to one of pain as she glared at him, her eyes narrowed as she looked at his finger.



"Hey, I was just joking around, you don't gotta poke me that hard. That actually hurt." She said as she lifted her hand to hold her cheek which was quickly starting to change shade to a darker red.



"My fault, accident, really. I didn't mean it Bells." Alex says softly almost instantly after as his hands hover, not quite touching her, not daring to, not after what had just occurred.



'Damned it. Damned it. What if I get even stronger, what if… a poke like that could…. Fuck.' Alex thought as his damned mind instantly procured him the image of his simple finger poke tearing straight through Bella's cheek and into her skull.



A shiver went through his entire body at the image as he shook his head and turned as he quickly headed towards the exit at the front door.



"Anyways, I'm heading off Bells, really sorry about that. I'll bring you some pizza or something as an apology, promise." Alex said, his voice apologetic, he wanted to stay a bit longer, comfort her and properly apologise, but currently his mind really wasn't in it, it was filled with images of all the ways that he could potentially hurt her, it was filled with images of what would happen if his assumption about the vampire was correct.



'Need to get out… Can't stay here for much longer. I need the Cullens. They're depicted as good people… and although I'm a little apprehensive of them… I… they're good people in the movies and books, and I'll have to trust that.' Alex thought to himself as he walked out of the front door after taking his pair of sneakers and crouched down on the front patio to quickly wear them and tie the shoe laces.



His fingers for a moment seeming to move at absurd speed, his hands becoming a blur and yet his dexterity didn't fall in the slightest, his eyes widening as merely a second later, he noticed that he had already tied his shoe laces.



In a single second.



'That… it's becoming worse, I'ts like the powers are awakening at randomly at this point. I'd rather they weren't there at all or were constantly on, but this, random activation. It's dangerous.' Alex thought as he sighed, a long winded exhausted sigh as he slowly stood up and took out his phone before quickly opening the contact list and calling Alice.



*Ring*



*Ring*



Before the third ring could sound out, the call was answered as he brought his phone to his ear.



"Alex? What's up?" Alice's confused voice could be heard on the other side of the line.



"Hey Alice? Could you come over now? I'm a bit bored and I wondered if you wanna go out earlier, spend more time and all. Can't really wait, is that okay?" Alex asked awkwardly, he wasn't a particularly extroverted person, he could even be called shy in some ways, the fact that he was calling a girl that he had just met today, to speed up and to come get him earlier, was something that in any other circumstance wouldn't have happened ever only if the world was suddenly flipped.



And for Alex, his world, in a sense had most certainly completely flipped one hundred and eighty degrees from what he was used to.

"Come over now? Well… okay? You sound a bit rushed… is something wrong Alex?" Alice asked over the phone line, her voice slightly tinged with worry.



"There… there actually is, I kinda need you to come pick me up. It's not life threatening but I need to talk to you okay? I don't really want to explain this over the phone so you being here would really help." Alex said softly as he released an audible sigh that most definitely was heard over the line.



For a moment, silence was the only thing left in the call before some unintelligible background sounds came from Alice's end of the call and then she spoke once more.



"Alright, I'll come pick you up right now, just go to the front of your house and I'll be there in a bit and we can talk." Alice spoke from the other end of the call before she hung up, leaving Alex with his phone still at his ear before he slowly lowered it and pocketed the small phone and quickly opened the front door before heading out, the door frame rattling slightly from the force that he shut it with, he hadn't even tried to slam it, he had just used the same amount of force that he was used to exerting and yet now that very same effort almost took a door off of its hinges.



'Fuck, fuck.' Alex thought to himself as beads of sweat rolled down from his forehead, the changes were increasing at alarming speeds, the speed, strength, everything was changing and he had no way to stop it, no idea how to control it and no knowledge on just what was happening to him.



Walking to the front of the small porch in front of the house, Alex waited by the road, his hands fidgeting at his sides.



'This feels like shit, this wasn't how it was supposed to go, I didn't really even want to get involved with the Cullens, It's not like I think they're bad people, they really aren't at least if they're the same as they were portrayed in the books and movies, in fact they could be called much better than most humans despite being blood drinking monsters. But… the supernatural scene of this world isn't all sunny and rainbows, that damned volturi exists and then theres the fact that the Quileute really don't like vampires and If i become one that just entered their territory unannounced then i could get attacked by an entire damn pack of shapeshifting massive wolves.' Alex thought to himself, his emotions getting the better of him as his hands stopped fidgeting and turned into tight fists at his sides.



He had never truly had to deal with things like this in his previous world, this was all new, heck he was in a new world, dealing with supernatural bullshit less than two days since coming here.



He thankfully didn't have to wait for long as the sound of the an engine roaring was soon heard coming from the distance, it was a distinct sound, clearly not something that the old truck would make or any other regular car.



And soon enough the yellow porsche came into view, driving towards Alex's location at what could only be called insane speeds, most definitely leagues above the legal limit around the area they were currently in.



With a sound of tires burning, the porsche slowed down dramatically quickly before coming to a stop right before Alex's feet, and inside of the car on the drivers seat, Alex could see her, Alice Cullen, she had come as promised and she had come even quicker than he had thought she would.



Alice got out of the car and walked towards him, her face showing an expression of slight worry though there was relief mixed in as well seeing that he wasn't physically harmed in any way that she could see.



"Alex? What's wrong. I came as fast as I could." Alice asked once she stopped right before him, looking up at him whilst her eyes shined an almost golden colour and for a moment Alex couldn't even speak, it wasn't because he was overwhelmed by his panic, no, it was because for a very real moment, he was utterly stunned by the sight of her, by how she looked, by her eyes that shined like gold.



The moment thankfully only lasted a mere second before he shook his head to clear his mind and spoke.



"It's… there's something I needed to talk to you and it was getting worse and… god I'm basically babbling on at this point and sound so weird… just.. lets just get in the car. I need you to drive me somewhere." Alex spoke as he walked to the passenger side of the porsche and opened the door, as carefully as he could so that he wouldn't accidentally damage the car like he had the other items inside of his house before slowly getting inside of the car and closing the door behind him just as slowly as he had opened it.



Alice quickly followed after without another word, she didn't ask what was wrong anymore, that would just overwhelm him more, she decided that she would simply help as much as she could, she opened the driver side and stepped back into the car and closed the door.



"Where to?" Alice asked as she turned the key and turned car engine on before moving her gaze slightly to the right to look at him where he was sitting on the passenger seat. Her voice as soft as she could make it.



"Your house."

And that was how Alice froze, her gaze slowly turning more and more towards Alex as her eyes widened slightly.



"Uh… what?"

"Uh… what?" Alice asked, her voice utterly confused as she looked at him.



"Your house… take me to your house." Alex spoke once more as he turned his head to look at her directly as well.



"I… I think that's a bit too fast no? What do you even need Alex. Just tell me and I'll try to help if I can." Alice spoke as she redirected back to what he seemed to want.



'I can't… I can't take him back to the house. That's just a breach of their trust on me to bring a human there without even telling them about it before hand.' Alice thought to herself, as she firmed her mind to tell him that they couldn't, ready to set the boundary.



"What I need? Well… I really just wanted to have this conversation once with your entire family so I wouldn't have to repeat myself… no I'm lying, I just didn't know how to start it. But I… I guess, I'll just say it." Alex spoke before taking a deep long breath and closing his eyes for a mere moment before snapping them open once more.



"I think… I think im becoming something thats not human and I need help." Alex finally spoke out as he looked at her directly in the eyes, his gaze not flinching or shying away anymore.



For a moment, Alice didn't reply, her brain had yet to even catch up with what he had just said, it had been even more out of left field than the previous ask about driving towards her house had been.



Finally, her brain seemed to reboot as she blinked a few times out of instinct.



"You're… becoming something less human or other than human? Are you joking Alex?" Alice asked, her voice still slightly tinged with disbelief, she couldn't just believe it outright because he had said it, and she still had to act like a regular human, atleast until it was truly confirmed that he wasn't just joking around or pranking her.



"Joking? I wish I was. Do you want me to show you?" Alex asked as he released a sigh before taking out his phone, that old thing and turning on the camera application before handing it to her.



"Take a picture of me." Alex said towards her, his actions only seemed to confused Alice even further as her eyes widened slightly before she mutely nodded and took the phone before snapping a picture.



And once she opened it… there was no Alex inside of the picture she had just taken, the photo only showed an empty car seat.



"Haha, very funny. You just made your phone like this or did something with it." Alice said with a soft chuckle as she shook her head, still not believing him at all.



Alex looked at her again before lifting his hand and turning the mirror of the car towards him.

"Do you see my reflection inside that then? That can't be faked." Alex asked seriously as he looked at her.



Alice stopped her chuckles as she froze, her gaze slowly moving towards the car mirror and there it was… just the reflection of an empty car seat, no person visible, Alex didn't have a reflection.



'That… he doesn't…' Alice thought to herself in shock before her gaze slowly turned away from the mirror and back to Alex.



"And its not just that, it's not just the reflection, I'm getting stronger, faster, I almost poked a hole into Bella's cheek accidentally when I wasn't even trying to, I almost broke my house's front door off its hinges when i barely put in any effort at all. Alice… I need help, I don't want to harm my family, I don't want for me to keep changing and what if I… I lose my mind or something like that, I don't want to be a murderer." Alex spoke slowly, his voice shaking slightly, the fear inside of him finally showing clearly as day, it wasn't truly fear about himself, whilst it was to a degree, it was mostly fear about others, he didn't want to cause any harm to others, especially not to innocent people who treated him like their brother or son even if he wasn't truly that person that they thought he was anymore.



"Strength… Speed… being invisible in mirrors and pictures… you sound a lot like…" Alice spoke slowly as the realisation started to surge through her mind as she looked at Alex.



"Like a vampire… I know, and I bet it's weird considering that you're the real vampire here." Alex muttered unconsciously, uttering out her secret accidentally, he had already wanted to tell her that he knew, in fact he had already known that he had no choice but to tell her, afterall the question that would soon be asked was why he had wanted to head to her house and why he had specifically called Alice to help when he had just barely met her.



He just hadn't wanted to say it in this moment, like this. However the entire situation had overwhelmed him, his emotions not in control and thus neither was his mouth apparently as he just realized.



'Fuck… fuck, I shouldn't have said that to her just after showing her that I'm starting to basically become like a damn folklore vamp.' Alex thought to himself, anxiety hitting him almost instantly at what her reaction would be.



"Ah… so you know? I didn't expect that, still it makes sense for you to reach out to me and our family… that was the smart thing to do Alex." Alice spoke slowly, her eyes had widened completely for a moment when his words had been muttered out however in mere moments they had gone back to normal or rather even… softer once she had seen the clear panic in his face.



"And hey, I'm not going to do anything just because you know our secret y'know? You basically just told me yours, so a secret for a secret." Alice said softly as she gave a small wink.



'What…' Alex thought utterly confused as he looked at the small woman before him.

"I… what? I literally just told you about your secret, like… how are you taking this so well?" Alex muttered utterly confused as he looked at her, his own eyes wide and filled with shock, her words had hit him completely off center.



Alice looked at him for a moment and released a soft sigh before she slowly lifted her hand and placed it against his cheek, Alex flinched for a moment however he remained still, letting her cold dead hand caress his cheek gently.



"Because you looked like you were going to faint after you said it Alex. Because despite meeting you only recently, despite barely talking to you… you feel familiar, in a way that no one ever has before, and because you seem like a nice person, and a nice person… doesn't deserve to get scared half to death. If you know my secret than it's not your fault, if anything it is mine or my families for not hiding well enough even though I don't know how you found out about it." Alice said, her voice as soft as she could make it as she looked at him directly into his eyes with her own golden ambered ones.



Alex didn't speak for a moment, before he slowly nodded his head.



"I… thank you Alice… thank you. I've just been so stressed about everything and I just, I needed that, I just needed someone to be on my side, I'm sorry about your secret and I… I can't tell you how I know about it, maybe I will one day but I don't feel comfortable sharing that right now… is that okay?" Alex asked as he looked at her, the fear that he had felt slowly but surely dissipating, leaving behind only a small warm feeling in his chest that he hadn't felt in a very long time, not even back in his own world before he had come here.



Alice nodded her head without a single instant of hesitation.



"Ofcourse it's okay, I told you, It's not your fault and you don't have to tell me, whilst I'm not going to lie and say that I'm not curious, I won't pry any further if you aren't comfortable with sharing however I do need to ask you one question that I would like you to answer honestly Alex." Alice said as she slowly lowered her hand from where she had been caressing his cheek and back onto her own lap, her gaze narrowing slightly, her eyes focused onto him.



"Does the way you found the secret or anything about it endanger anyone that I would hold dear or you. I want the truth Alex, at least don't lie to me about this." Alice spoke, her voice utterly dead serious, it was clear that this wasn't the soft part of Alice that would let this go, she had to at least know this much.



Alex looked at her for a moment before shaking his head, his heartbeat remaining utterly steady as he looked at her.



"No, It doesn't endanger anyone and neither did I get in danger to learn this secret. That, I can promise with my whole heart." Alex said in turn, his voice steady, equally as serious as hers, he understood where the question had come from and even appreciated the fact that she had asked, it only served to show even more how much she cared about those around her and even about him when she had no need to.



Alice didn't speak again for a moment, her eyes focused entirely on his face, looking for any sign that he wasn't saying the truth, even her hearing was focused onto his heartbeat, looking for the telltale spike when someone lied, however none of those happened, he showed no signs of lying, none at all.



'He could either be an incredible liar… or he's honest and my heart… no my very soul wants to somehow believe him. What is even happening here… why do I trust a boy that I just met recently this much?' Alice thought to herself before softly nodding her head towards him.



"Okay then Alex, with that aside, let's head to my house. I'm sure Carlisle can find out exactly what's happening to you, he has quite the extensive library on supernatural phenomena, I'm willing to bet that he has something somewhere in his books that will explain what's happening to you. So just sit tight and put that seatbelt on and we can get going." Alice said softly with a smile before she turned to the steering wheel.



She stopped however just as she was about to start.



"Alex… my family will not take well to you knowing our secret, at least some of them wont, two of them in fact if we are being more specific. Rosalie Hale, my sister as well as Edward Cullen, my brother. They're really strict about the rules that we share about keeping the secret, they will make quite a bit of noise when they learn that you know about us, Rosalie may even instantly say that we should kill you, however please don't worry, I won't allow that and neither will Carlisle. Rosalie herself wouldn't truly mean it, she's just… jaded." Alice said softly as she released a sigh.



Alex nodded his own head before he twisted his body slightly around to grab the seat belt… only to rip it off entirely. The airbags however didn't activate at all for some reason.



Looking at the now detached belt on his hands, he slowly turned and looked at Alice apologetically.



"Sorry?" Alex muttered whilst Alice had already turned around and was now looking at the belt that he held in his hands with slight disbelief.



"Really Alex? Thank god that I never repaired the airbags after that crash last year" Alice said before releasing another sigh of exasperation.

Alice started driving as they headed towards the edges of Forks, the Cullen house or rather mansion was on the completely other side of Forks, deep inside of the woods with no one around them.



"So uh… why did you crash last year? Don't you have like super reflexes?" Alex asked confused as he sat there in the passenger seat with his hands on his lap, still awkwardly holding the ripped out seatbelt.



"Ah, I was driving at max speed and then I tried to drift, didn't work well, the brakes broke and the car lost control and smashed into a tree, just because I have supernatural reflexes doesn't mean that the car itself is supernatural. I don't even really need the airbags since I won't really get hurt in a crash and well I had to wait to import them and I really couldn't be bothered." Alice said as she giggled softly as she drove the car through the snake like roads through the woods.



"You… were lazy is what you were saying? Lazy and impatient?" Alex asked, his voice unable to hide the growing amusement inside of him, at times like this, he was starting to realise that Alice might be more human than he had thought she would be, he had imagined all of this inhuman vampire stuff inside of his own mind however the reality seemed to be quite different from his imagination.



"Basically. I mean just because I have all the time in the world to live doesn't mean I can't get impatient y'know? And I don't even need it! So who cares." Alice said as she smiled whilst driving the car.



"Right, yeah. Anyways are we close yet?" Alex asked as they had already been driving for quite a while now.



"Yeah, you should be able to see it in the distance in a bit, it's quite a bit of a drive from the town since we don't really wanna be bothered and well we don't want to act like humans all of the time, it's quite tiring, now that you know what I am though? Well now we are gonna have so much fun… and wait what if you get some cool ass powers aswell, we could totally go hunting in the forest or like… oh my god, you could play baseball with us, It's going to be so much fun." Alice said, her voice instantly regaining her usual excitement and it only grew the more she spoke as if she was only thinking about these things at that very moment and then just saying them out instantly without a single thought.



"Alice… I'm still kinda freaked out about what I'm becoming and your saying It's gonna be fun if I get kick ass powers?" Alex asked as he looked at her.



"Hell yeah I am, I mean look, you clearly don't know what it is or how to stop it, so all you can do is look on the bright side and hope to atleast get some cool powers y'know? That is if Carlisle doesn't know what it is or if theres a way to stop it. If there is a way? Cool, you get to be normal again, if there isn't? Let's at least hope for some super powers no?" Alice said with a wide smile as she turned her head towards him and winked, still driving the car at illegal speeds down the road and now not even looking at the road itself as she drove.



"Alice, ALICE, look at the damn road please. You won't die from a car crash but I don't know about myelf and I do not want to test that out, I do not want to." Alex said quickly, almost shouting as he gripped the arm rest with enough force that it released another loud creak.



Alex froze for a moment before slowly turning his head to look down and then lifting his left hand off of the arm rest… and the clear indent of his hand where it had crushed the arm rest was clearly visible.



Alice looked at it before turning to look back at the road as she started slowing down as they came closer to their destination.



"Alex, please, can you like stop breaking my car? I like this baby, I had it custom made, I picked the colour and everything, please stop breaking it." Alice said both with a groan in her voice aswell as slight amusement, she didn't truly care, she could have it replaced anytime she wanted, the Cullens were more than loaded enough to afford it.



"It's not like I'm doing it intentionally okay? Like stop driving like a maniac and maybe I'll stop doing this." Alex replied as he huffed and laid back fully onto the passenger seat.



"You act like a kid, is this how you are when you're comfy?" Alice asked teasingly as she slowed down further, the car now driving at regular speeds.



"Don't become my psychologist now." Alex replied without even looking at her.



"Sure, sure. Anyways, we should start to see the house in a few seconds." Alice spoke as he motioned to the front with her head.



Lifting his gaze to look at the road ahead of them, just as Alice had said, the forest parted in the distance and the house or rather the mansion came into view. It wasn't exactly as he had seen in the movies, in fact it was quite dramatically different from what he had seen.



The mansion was large, much larger than what had been shown and it wasn't entire made of white. It seemed to be a blend between dark brown wood and modern influences, it looked like something you saw in the internet and never in real life because houses weren't usually maintained this well in the long run, at least not ones that Alex had seen.



It was in a way… a beautiful luxurious looking forest themed mansion.



'That… actually fits a lot more than the movies.' Alex thought to himself as his eyes remained glued to the view ahead of him.
