Brain is stuck on ZZZ, so how do we corral more into RWBY?
- Catgirl Confrontation! Nekomata and/or Pulchra vs Blake. Funnily enough, Nekomata has a pretty similar background to Blake. Both came from organizations that started with good intentions and leaving once the group grows corrupt. Hell, the names are similar too! We only get a small look into the old Red Fang Gang from the Nekomata Teaser and ZZZ Chapter 1, but they seemed to at least protect and fix up their territory and those under their influence. But where Blake left and still tried to rationalize and make excuses for the White Fang, Nekomata made a clean break from the Red Fang Gang and denounced their actions. Granted, Nekomata did have her little revenge plan. I personally saw it as more personal to Silver than the RFG as a whole, and Nekomata gave up on it even before she learned the truth.
As for Pulchra, also a criminal background, but Pulchra doesn't pretend to put on airs or be anything more than she is. She's a roving mercenary who'll do just about anything for the right price, and embraces it. She keeps most people at a distance, and is very upfront about her practices. Sure, Pulchra has favorites and preferences. But at the end of the day, she keeps her options open and likes to be paid.
- Caesar helping/inspiring Jaune in the age old art of Sword and Board. We've already established 'Uncle' Billy, so the rest of the New Sons of Calydon have probably met the Arcs. I can also see Caesar supporting dream to be a hunter, if 'the strongest' one. They can also commiserate over their love of comics, if of different genres. And now I'm picturing Caesar and Pyrrha duking it out, as a training spar or because the open and secret battle junkies want to. Caesar reveals her semblance is some sort of 'Unviable/Invincible' aura, similar to her ZZZ skill that just says 'No' to outside effects.
- Burnice White. Actually Burnice Arc White. Willow was a little TOO successful in one of her early seduction attempts. Not allowed to stay in the Schnee family and deciding to strike out on her own rather than stay around Isabel, Burnice took the last name White to honor her mother Willow. She didn't inherit the Schnee Glyphs, but she's got a strong knack for mixing Dust, though REALLY prefers Fire Dust and its derivatives. Also Willow's taste for alcohol. Even has her own brew of laced with Fire Dust that Burnice calls 'Nitro-Fuel.' Winter knows about Burnice, and her mother's infidelity helped further push her to leave. Weiss doesn't until she meets Burnice for the first time, and they get along like a house on fire.
- Luciana Auxesis Theodoro de Montefio, aka Lucy, heiress of of Montefio family of Atlas, knew Weiss and had several 'playdates' with her throughout the years before Lucy ran away. They shared a passion for music, and may have even been friends. Maybe one point of contention was Weiss' early naivete of just what the SDC did. Maybe they meet again after Weiss decides to use a recommended company, Leaps and Bounds Express Services Co., to order something, and Lucy comes along to run some errands and scope out the local competition. Another fun interaction would be Blake's reaction to Bricky, Grassy, and Woody, the boar Faunus that work directly under Lucy and fight with her.
- RWBY, and more, react to Piper being 2~3 times their age while looking as young, if not younger, than them. Maybe Piper and Ruby doing a collab as Piper reminds Ruby to remember her fundamentals, complaining about mecha-shift all the while. Maybe RWBY is commissioned to escort and guard a delivery Piper is making, and are left in awe and horror by Piper's driving.
- Lighter and Pyrrha have a bout, after Pyr hears Lighter or someone else declaring him the "Undefeated Champion." Our Invincible Girl discovers or already knows about Lighter's status as Champion of the Underground Arena, or of the Sons of Calydon. If going the Underground route, maybe Pyrrha is disappointed, disapproves, or looks down on it, and Lighter by extension, believing the Underground is for those who can't handle "real" tournaments, nevermind the usual sorts it attracts. Lighter gives Pyr a lesson from the School of Hard Knocks. I also imagine Lighter has his Semblance. Something that vaguely resembles Yang's in that it produces fire. Maybe the exact opposite, where the more hits Lighter lands, the more "juice" it gets. This can be used for a gradual, if fleeting, strength increase, or unleashed in on big and flaming finisher. Taking hits reduces the build up, which is why Lighter focuses on dodging when he can. Lastly, Lighter's weapon (which I'm calling Blazing Laurel for lack of a better name), helps to focus and regulate his semblance, but he doesn't necessarily need it.
Aaaand I realized I just did the entire (New) Sons of Calydon. Hmm, Anima is shown to have a desert region even if its never explored in the show. And that would still mean the Sons could have run-ins with the Branwens at some point. I just like the idea of Big Daddy punching Raven's smug face. Also, Caesar is a fun inversion of Raven's whole "Might Makes Right" philosophy without being a total bitch.
Hmm, whom next... maybe the rest of the Hares... and Obol Squad.
