New York, 2050.
Much has changed in the last few decades. Cars now crisscross the skies thanks to Stark technology, mutants have conquered their place in society, and the Avengers continue to protect the world from ever-increasing threats.
Peter Parker, the man who once patrolled the streets of New York as Spider-Man, has become the leader of the Avengers. His name is known in virtually every corner of the planet.
But while the great heroes are busy saving the world, life goes on for millions of ordinary people.
Sebastian is one of them.
At thirteen, he lives with his mother and younger sister in a small apartment in Harlem. His routine consists of school, studying, and deliveries he makes after school, riding an electric bicycle built from scrap parts.
Money is never enough, his mother works to exhaustion, and the thick-lensed glasses he's worn since childhood make his life even more complicated.
Despite everything, Sebastian has a dream he's carried since childhood: to become a hero like Spider-Man.
A rather distant dream for a frail boy who can barely defend himself against school bullies.
Everything begins to change one night in January.
During one of his deliveries, Sebastian ends up in the middle of a Carnage attack in Times Square. Surrounded by destruction and desperate people, he finds himself facing a creature that even the greatest heroes on the planet can't easily defeat.
By a stroke of luck, Spider-Man himself saves his life.
Sebastian manages to get home that night. Scared, hurt, and convinced that he never wants to go through anything like that again.
The next morning, however, something is different.
