Tokyo, 2008. One ordinary day, most of the city simply isn't there anymore: no warning, no explanation. Shigeru Jouji wakes up to find himself one of maybe thirty-some people left in a school building that used to hold hundreds.

He'd like you to think he's the slow one in the group. The guy who needs things spelled out, who's always a beat behind the joke. He is not. He's just found it's easier to let everyone believe that than to admit how much he's actually keeping track of: who's holding together, who's quietly not, who flinched at what, and what that might mean later.

What starts as a survival story becomes something closer to a found family: messy, funny, occasionally reckless and horny, held together by teenagers doing their best impression of adults because there's no one left to do it for them. But the building has rules nobody wrote, the silence outside has a shape if you listen long enough, and not everyone who survived came back the same.

This is a story that will make you laugh on one page and sit with real dread on the next: sometimes in the same scene. It doesn't apologize for either.

A coming-of-age drama wrapped in a character-driven, character-first over-explaining narrative — following a not-dense, overthinking, rambling male protagonist trying very hard to convince everyone (and himself) that he's dense.

TONAL WHIPLASH GUARANTEED!

All characters are confirmed 18+. R-rated, mature themes throughout. Open Harem slow-burn romance. No NTR. Future dubious and non-consensual content exists within the story but will never be romanticized or played for comedy.

Future interludes and preludes carry their own distinct voice; will always be clearly marked with who's speaking.

Chapters run long (2,900–5,200 words, averaging ~3,800), not a quick bite.

10 chapters ahead, future side stories, character arts and illustrations, and explicit content are Patreon-exclusive.
