Expect an update or more likely a silly omake or three. Coz hypetrain has no brakes and its probably just as bad for me to write while I'm on it as when I'm upset.

Still updates should start to get regular again after the move around Aug 1. And we can move past the party, tdps Xmas obligations, date with Lisa, and start to get to tdp going out and kicking ass while getting booty.

Usually i would go for conflict resolution,but Sabah is under his protection.the E88 affiliated families would be disgusted with Theo if he does nothing macho with Shadow Stalker for attacking his date.so Theo is on a metaphorical tight rope without a safety net.

 

So a Ward just committed a hate crime and assaulted a young woman at an upper crust event.

Sophia's career has just been ruined. I suggest we go up, call one of our Dad's lawyers, and sue the piss out of her. Settle this like a high class gentleman!

How well do you think we could get Sabah to co-operate with framing this for the general public as if she wasn't hitting on them?

Cutting down SS for being a bitch is one thing to the observers. Cutting her down for an unprovoked attack allows her to be slammed down much harder.

Not necessarily lying about Sabah's sexuality, though probably not drawing attention to it, but more lying that it wasn't a factor in her conversations with them.

 

Sabah -is- a fashion designer, and Emma -is- a fashion model.

Re: other Wards
As far as they can tell right now? SS struck a civilian while defending another. Probably not the way it should have been done. They are going to do a 'wtf? what happened? make with the 'splainy!' SS is probably going to get yanked off the floor, or something. Emma will back up SS. And this is if someone else takes social initiative.

Re: Witnesses
Not a lot of people looking in that direction at the time, SS isn't very popular. Most people were paying attention to other things. There is a lot of attention on them now though. No one to really back up Sabah.

Re: Emma and Sabah
Sabah and Emma were actually getting along, Sabah occasionally doing the light touch thing that Emma reciprocated once or twice. Emma might not be into Sabah but isn't not okay with the seemingly friendly type touches from another woman. Just thought Sabah was touchy type, not flirting.

Re: SS view on the conversation
Sophia sees this and doesn't want to loose Emma because Emma is 1) useful, Sophia won't lie she is 2) Sophia's biggest fan 3) Sophia's probably only friend.

Re: Emma's hurt
Sophia is the only girl Emma finds attractive (currently). Basically, SS is a -hero- and she is -Emma's- hero. And so hero-worship taken to slightly lusty levels. Emma is still like 90%+ hetero, and dates boys and stuffs.

Re: Getting what is TDPs due
Emma is going to back up SS, and leave Sabah out in the cold. This is getting rather close to the events that led to Sabah's trigger event, and Sabah is having a hard time dealing with it. TDP is going to have to step in if you want something to really come of it. If the Wards/Protectorate/PRT handle it, SS will get yanked off the floor and she'll get more shit duties.

Re: TDP and the Wards present, inc SS
It will go a long way to see TDP standing up for his friend, to KW, Aegis, and Vista, if nothing else. If TDP reaches a certain level of hunter/predator Sophia will be angling for info on him for reasons.

This will finish the major interaction, and force a minor to be taken as well, as you will have to answer questions from the PRT/Protectorate and Max. Will have 3 and 4 respectively afterwards.

The new version just doesn't work as well as the old version in my opinion.

 

Ohohoho, very interesting information all around.

In particular, the bit on how SS views Emma. If TDP picks that up, and emphasizes the useful aspect with that Exalted skill in the resulting verbal throwdown, that could lead to some very interesting places.

'Useful for what' could lead into Emma's assistance in covering things up, 'is useful' could lead to driving a wedge between SS & Emma, probably several more possibilities I'm not socially savvy enough to see...

This could turn into an opportunity for some major powerplays all around, both immediately and in the future. The Wards, the Protectorate, capes in general, the E88 in particular, Taylor if she ever comes into TDP's awareness, the social set, New Wave given Mr. Barnes' sharing a firm with Brandish...an opportunity to cripple a flock of birds with a single cut, to butcher a metaphor!

 

Pretty sure it end before "violence towards a flirtatious lesbian".

Remember, gays in Worm are much more accepted because of Legend. Sophia just fucked herself hard.

 

Probably going to do the usual bii bandwagon as is, but if you don't mind, had a few ideas that could maybe improve shit:

Maybe adding a comment at the start about Vista? Something small like TDP giving her an apology for having to leave her so abruptly, or even just a small nod to her. Nothing huge but just a small thing to help set the scene and our way of letting her know that we've got shit under control.

When TDP is walking over, maybe mention how some of the other Wards start to head over but upon seeing TDP they decide that uh, he looks like he's got this shit handled.

And as for what he says to Sophia, it just seems so blunt and unsubtle. "lol ur just projecting" just feels like TDP is going for the low hanging fruit and well, is probably the kind of reaction she's expecting to see. Maybe instead play it off as her misunderstanding things like you started to do, and then just deflect to how you understand that as somebody that's so used to seeing threats everywhere that we she might have read into things a bit too deeply. Instead of going in all hostile and making a scene, just smooth things over and compliment her.

he main reason why I think that would be better than going in aggressive is simply because if we go in looking for a fight, she'll hit back. And sure we can easily tear her to shreds and come out the winner, but well, not only would that burn bridges that we don't need to but odds are Sabah will either get hit in the crossfire now because of it, or something will happen later when we're not around to help her. Obviously it wouldn't be anything as obvious as Shadow Stalker going after her, but instead it could just be Emma talking about how threatened and violated she felt when the strange woman cornered her at the party to her coworkers. Hell, even just Sabah being outed would probably be bad enough for her and would mess with her hard.

The best part though of playing shit nice, is that Sophia will know exactly what we're doing, and she'll be smart enough to know that if she tries to push things, she'll come off as the bad guy. And odds are she'll probably respect us for being able to pull something like that off.
