Trying To Understand Threadmarks: Ignore Me (Or Send Help)

Hello! The title says it all. I'm trying to figure out how threadmarks work so I can start posting my first story in a day or two. Please ignore me likely making a fool of myself (or help a poor fool out, lol).

Hi, just bumped into this post. I think a guide will be really helpful for those who want to get it right the first time. It's such a nerve-racking experience trying it out for yourself (especially since there's barely any 'tutorial' in it). While it's still a pretty straightforward system, a guide should be good rather than spend an hour trying to bang away google searches looking for what each entry does.

I had forgotten about this until you liked it, but, ironically, that's why I didn't delete this.

I obviously haven't done it, but I told myself I'd turn this into a threadmark guide. It was super intimidating before I ever posted anything, and despite not being too complicated once you play with it, the fact that there's zero explanation makes actually taking that step a miserable experience if you're the anxious type.

I have way more free time than normal for a bit, so I might actually set aside some time to do that soon.

Thank you! I had stumbled into this thread after I've already posted. It would've probably saved me time had I found this guide before and save a lot of 'anxious-ness' in the process.
