  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

I've been wondering for a while now if there was the possibility of dividing up the "watched" function (be it for thread or quest) so that you could exclude unwanted notifications, like a random just posting on the thread. Something similar as to what SB got going on where you can select "only author posts".

If said function already exist and I simply didn't see it due to the smoothness of my brain, I apologize.

When you follow a thread, you have the option to pick one of three type of follows/watches. (if you reply to the thread, it'll automatically default to what you have set in your preferences)

Set it to "and receive OP e-mail notifications".

...for the sake of clarity, when the prompt says 'e-mail' notification does it mean E-mail or Alerts? Because if it's the first...yeah no thanks, E-mail already filled as it is. I just don't want to see in my Alerts that 'randomguy69' replayed to the thread.

Go to Alert preferences in your account (or just clicking here should work) and uncheck all the alert types you no longer want to receive.

At least if I understand your problem correctly.

If you're talking about how SB does it, that's an XF2 thing.
