I'm wondering if it could have been that super-Tamaranean escaped experiment, X'Hal. She could have been a super-Tamaranean AND a goddess on top of that, in which case she'd be magical.

Ironically the anime character is the most sensibly dressed of the group.

"They're a bit less resilient than the atomic axe. Also, they glow, and power ring constructs are remotely detectable far more easily than passive usage is. Similarly, I'm not doing bounding leaps because seismic sensors could pick that up easily."

Thus far all they have encountered is a fancy interdiction system. It seems a bit premature to conclude whatever or whoever it is needs to be ambushed and murdered.

Peculiar and worrying. You can teleport here, but not teleport away? Strikes me as some manner of honey trap, then. Like a planetary pitcher plant designed to attract visitors only to consume them somehow... I'm getting the feeling that impact event was something being imprisoned here. And if the episode title is any hint, it's something tied to Fear... That isn't Parallax, anyway.

If this isn't malevolent… It might be more like climbing down a cliff versus climbing up a waterfall, after a glacier melts.

This might be an abandoned project of one of the Maltusian offshoots. Or Krona. If it was an active project, then there'd be some trace things for Hinon to sense. If this was touched by an Emotional Embodiment, like those bull-touched worlds, then Hinon would have sensed it IF she used the appropriate equipment. Maybe this is related to one of the Endless?

Ah, we finally figured out the last step in the Light's "swallow the spider to catch the fly" series of plans.

"So then we bring in Darkseid to stop the Reach. And after that?"

"We release Darkseid's father from the Source Wall to take care of his son."

Grayven gives a lot of logical reasons to walk, but I think partially he's just enjoying a nice hike through the rain in an alien landscape.

Persuader should probably consider training with aerodiscs, though. Going through their mobility methods just made obvious that while the axe is fine for long distance travel, she's not very battlefield-level mobile.
