'
First things first,' You thought as you headed to Mikihisa Asakura's room, '
Search Father's Room.'
Reaching the room you opened the door at started to search it.
You ended up finding a pair of Orange Headphones and a cool series of albums made by this guy called 'Soul Bob'.
Since they are just gathering dust in Mikihisa's room, you decided to ferret the headphones and albums into your room where they'll see a lot of use for your enjoyment.
[Obtained 1 set of Orange Headphones and 3 Soul Bob Albums]

After you stole-er borrowed your dads things, you proceeded to head to the clan library to attempt to find information on how to increase ones Furyoku levels.
Your brother apparently had monstrous amounts of Furyoku even as a child and your not even on a level equal to your parents, if you want any chance of finding your brother you will have to get stronger.
[Intelligence Check. 1d100+0. Roll: 69. Required: 80. Roll Failed.]
Throughout the year inbetween training sessions with your grandfather on basic Shamanistic techniques, you found mentions of Furyoku in various tomes your family keeps but you couldn't make heads or tails of the books.
However you do have an idea on where to look for your next search, after you learned some more.
[+5% Chance of Finding out how to increase Furyoku levels on subsequent attempts]

After your first month of training you had asked Grandpa on teaching about general shamanism techniques as they could be considered the basics and thus were the best place to start in order to build a better foundation.
Your Grandpa looked thrilled at you apparently taking your lessons in Shamanism seriously, and his heart told you as much as well. While he hated your brother for some reason, he cared greatly for your development as a Shaman since to him you'll end up being the next head of the Asakura Clan.
[Learning: General Shamanism. 1d100+1. Rolled: 98+1 = 99. Great Success]
Your progress throughout the year was surprising to your grandfather as you doved into learning Shamanism with a gusto.
[General Shamanism Rank 5: You learned the basics of what it truly means to be a Shaman. The knowledge that it is up to people like you to help ease the souls of Spirits and help the dead pass on to the next life.
Bonus to interacting with ghosts.]
[General Shamanism Rank 10: You continued lessons have led you to learning one of the basic techniques Spirit Unity. A technique in which a Shaman willingly gives a Spirit access to his or her own body, and through co-operation achieve an end result.
You learned Spirit Unity.]
[General Shamanism Rank 15: You continued to refine your ability to use Spirit Unity through the use of some human spirits that lived in some 'nearby' graveyards.
You ability to communicate with ghosts has increased. You will now have an easier time achieving 100% Unity with Spirit Unity.]
[General Shamanism Rank 20: You progressed enough in your lessons that your grandfather has decided to teach you about the actual creation of an Oversoul. Which is what you do when you create your shikigami Leaf Sprites.
You learned how to create Oversouls. The full potential of this technique cannot be realized without a Spirit Partner.]

The year has come and gone, and now its your birthday. You are now 4 years old.
1d6=1. + 1 Strength.
1d6=4. +4 Dexterity.
1d6=3. +3 Endurance.
1d6=4. +4 Intelligence.
1d6=6. +6 Wisdom.
Thanks to your training both your body and your mind became stronger throughout the passing year.
Not only are you stronger but you also got presents!
First from Grandpa;
[1d100=60]
You got a Calligraphy Set. It's supposed to help you later on when you advance down the path of Onmyoudou, should you wish, in the creation of Ofuda, paper talisman that could be used to create Oversouls using 'Oni' and bound 'Demons'.
From your Grandmother you got;
[1d100=23]
A bag of cookies. Unfortunately she was busy on Mt. Osore training her new apprentice and didn't really have time to get to know him, though she did hope he'd visit her so that could be amended.
From your Mom you got;
[1d100=38]
Some fashionable new clothes. She unfortunately was pretty busy and thus couldn't do shopping for a better gift. At least it was the thought that counted right?
From the family deadbeat aka your dad you got;
[1d100=63]
A Shugenja mask. He probably means to train you in the arts of the Shugenja if you wished too when you are older.
Smiling warmly at the presents, even the one from the deadbeat, you went to bed happy that night...after coming down from a cake and cookie induced sugar-high of course!

[1d100=93]
When you woke up from your sleep you found an unopened present next to your futon.
Looking over the box you find the words 'To: Yoh, From: Hao.' Written on it.
Shocked you open the present up revealing the contents, inside you see an ornate mirror.
You smile sadly before resolving to get your brother a present for next year. If he can leave you a present in your room then you can give him one when he drops off your own.
Resolution made, what do you decide to do this year?

AN: As you guys can guess I decided to change how the training works. You get plus 5 to your trained stat for every 20 passed on the roll, so since I rolled you guys a 99 you got 20 to General Shamanism. If I had gotten a 100 I'd have rolled a second die and used the total divided by 20 to determine the number of rank ups.
Hope you guys enjoyed the birthday presents Yoh got. Also hope you liked grabbing Yoh's headset and Soul Bob addiction
As always with me, tell me of any errors and ways to smooth things along.
Have fun and don't forget to vote.
