Edmund Blaze is the CEO of Siler's Salvage and Assembly. A new startup as of 3026 that intends to enter battlemech manufacturing through blending old and new manufacturing processes.

All investigations have pointed to the man being loyal to the Free Worlds League. Willing to work with and sell to both the local Silver Hawk Irregulars that are stationed in defense of the world, as well as to the militia. So far, all attempts to sway him into giving out secrets to the manufacturing processes have been ignored. (Subject shows signs of autism when working on ensuring the factory is producing at capacity. Hyperfocus, ignoring meals, and attention to specific details while ignoring body language, etc.)

All SAFE efforts to research the CEO of Siler's Salvage and Assembly, Edmund Blaze's past, have found nothing more than shreds. From everything we have found, he was homeless for at least a year before joining Quikscell. (Estimates put him as having been homeless for far longer than that, but that is when the first records begin to document him.)

While the lack of records is somewhat alarming. It is not yet an indication or reason to bring him in for questioning or enhanced interrogation tactics. Due to the current state of the Inner Sphere, and the Free Worlds League in particular, we cannot assume foul play here. There are many worlds within our borders that lack a sufficient education or system in which to document all of their citizens.

While Kalidasa is generally a more industrialized and educated world, there are many settlements that are not a part of the overarching information and intelligence apparatus. So, unless Blaze appears to be a threat, we will allow him to continue as he is.

Agents Steele and Cone have been embedded inside the company and will be providing further reports. Cone has attempted honey pot schemes to sway the CEO to no avail. As there has been no progress on that front, any future attempts to ensure the company remains as the FWL requires will be focused on the second owner and partner of the CEO. Sylvie Siler.

I could totally see that happening recently my hometown had a two cops from two different departments arrested by a different department both cops were undercover trying to honey trap and sting each other. While a third department watched from on the bushes I guess. This happened in October so not that recent I guess.

Happens all the time with ATF, FBI, local cops, state agencies etc.... more or less most of those 'plots' to do crazy ass shit are started and perpetuated by Feds. They've had a few cases where literally every single member of the conspiracy was in fact a plant and agitator, and all the normal people who the Feds were trying to entrap due to religious, political, etc... beliefs said fuck this, these guys are wacked. Some have unironically called the cops on said cops/feds resulting in all sorts of hilarity that then gets buried as quickly as possible.

This has happened like 3-4 times to my limited knowledge in the US with alphabet agencies, and like 2 years ago with the local cops and prostitution which they shut down talking about quickly... which means it is probably rather common all in all since this is just the stuff you hear on the grapevine. With most of these 'conspiracies' in which they specifically egg people on and fan the flames mind you, they only ever get a few arrests if any at all. Which these sort of catfishing scams/plots do flush out real nutters but it is certainly a lot more miss than hit, and a lot of nominally I hesitate to say 'innocent' but certainly vulnerable people who are simply looking for belonging or are in want of an outlet are duped into ruining their lives.

It is 100% plausible that absolutely everyone is 'SAFE' (or thinks they are) and SAFE itself does not know this fact. Remember this setting is future 80s with a rather horrible guess at how processing power would increase and develop over time. With basically a fax machines worth of nominal data being passed along planets at a time and the lack of real processing power avaliable inside the world itself it is highly probable that the guys on the other side of the planet let alone any off planet teams simply do not and cannot easily know who is even on their own payrolls. So all the cells nearby going 'oh shit new factory, we have to honeypot this guy for the good of the FRR'. Like a Mr McGoo plot with absolutely everyone tripping over themselves trying to 'Halp' with what the MC needs (some are unironically probably working for some other rival intelligence agency but are under the belief they are working with SAFE as well). Which just adds another layer of potential hilarity.
