Next up: upgrades to the saber tank and a heavy tank replacement. Also, Mechassault/Titanfall mechs. Perhaps some orbital defense stations instead of just fleet assets?

Plz no mechs, i really dont feel like they fit the starwars theme cuz once mechs are unlocked then what reason is there for all the iconic starwars stuff, basically turns star wars into a clone of whatever mecha media you sourced the mechas from, im her for starwars not gundam 2.0 or etcNext up: upgrades to the saber tank and a heavy tank replacement. Cause attention on the governor is attention on the system, attention on the system where one of their really important and rare repair and refit facilities is operating undercover as an official government backed one and therefore protected as long as nobody looks too hard.
You know, now I am having the image of the the crew going to Minda, ended up celebrating after something big; and then our favorite couple wake up after a drunk night discovering they are married. The older (totally not) couple looked at each other and gave a small chuckle.
They are able to do it successfully because you actually treat them like decent people, don't threaten their families, embezzled from the budget and said budget is not suddenly cut to fund a giant grey ball.So you can imagine my annoyance when they go and manage to create a variety of new, possibly viable prototypes. Not of TIE fighters, but instead of armor!
At first, I was ecstatic. A new production line to toss money into. But then, I was informed of the project's scope. While not cheap, the production could all be done in the labs themselves, as these were limited in number.
Meaning that the techs had made viable suits of armor for the Mindan elite that weren't going to eat up a massive amount of money, and would make us look way more advanced.
Fuck.
Mandos Basilisk - great power, great mobilityPlz no mechs, i really dont feel like they fit the starwars theme cuz once mechs are unlocked then what reason is there for all the iconic starwars stuff, basically turns star wars into a clone of whatever mecha media you sourced the mechas from
Those are in universe tho, im just afraid itl end up with oh we have gundams now we dont need anything else and then its basically just gundam 2.0 substituting gundams for whatevers mechas get added
Well they have AT, but their leg movement is kinda shit. Those are in universe tho, im just afraid itl end up with oh we have gundams now we dont need anything else and then its basically just gundam 2.0 substituting gundams for whatevers mechas get added
True, i prefer the AT-XT over the At-st, virtually the same except the At-Xt has a plasma shield to increase its survival chancesand doesnt have the at-st leg design
Walkers are a highly used vehicle platform over tracked and more importantly, repulsorlift vehicles. Primarily due to the way shield domes work planetary shields or just base shields are crippling on repulsorlift technology and there are natural phenomenon and a weaponized repulsorlift jamming building to either outright disable or render speeds to slower than walking speed. This makes mechs which are always considered less viable than tracked tanks possibly viable as tracked tanks suffer horribly from mines in star wars which is why they maade AT-ATs so tall after even AT-TEs got crippled. So if they can justify the maintenance with mechs that have a multiple point of failure issue in real life or at least serve sufficient utility due to the other combat technology designs adapt to in star wars it could make at least a limited run. Although i think a lot of technologies in star wars fall out of favor due to high maintenance issues which are more important due to galactic logistics and a galaxy used to ships so repairable and long lasting they have ship designs lasting for centuries or millenia. So limited run that serves as governor's pet project and bodyguard units? Makes enough sense and local system deployment where replacement parts can be made for them. Wide adoption? Doubtful. However i offer a close legends example of mechs which got specific attention by rebels to destroy in the cradle which may inspire i hope whatever mechs you useChp-21: Ripples and Explosions
Now, onto speculation. These mecha designs are borne of the skunkworks crackheads in the R&D team, and are not finished products. Whether or not they will be very effective is debatable, so I leave it up to you. Would these mecha and exo suits be effective for combat? Would they be useful for Las's position specifically? Are there any other designs you think would work better in their place? Please, let me know.
Of course, I have to toss some credit in the direction of ArtStation. Sure, I gave direct links so you can take a peek at the artists themselves, but I feel like I have to give a little shoutout. The sheer dedication and skill that is shown off over there is so impressive I'm honestly torn between being jealous that my little perspective box drawing practices don't look like that, and an ambition to get there one day. Incredibly skilled people doing awesome stuff. Lotta sci-fi to. Love it.
Thanks for reading!

If Las does get the lucrehulk he can fix it up or refit it into a carrier turn the cargo bays into hangers and slap as much aa or anti-fighter guns on it as he can maybe get some factory's for fighters or bombers. Or just turn it into a full on mobile shipyard.
You guys seem to be forgetting that, that is a horrible idea, in both legends and in Disney the CIS WERE HATED post clone wars, having one of their ships is going to be something local imperials look into, if we however use the broken off sections in a asteroid fort/station/school and eventually build over these sections then I'd probably be fine.Probably the shipyard route just so he can refit his larger warships in-system and doesn't need to hire a professional shipyard at great expense for the larger refits and maintenance needed for them.
I'll point out that the AT-XT was just a testing ground for different walkers, it was the testing ground for the AT-RT,AT-PT,AT-ST, etc. it was never meant to go into widespread production, not only was its cost exponentially high, but it was glitchy/faulty to a dangerous degree because of the variety of different systems that were shoved into it.True, i prefer the AT-XT over the At-st, virtually the same except the At-Xt has a plasma shield to increase its survival chancesand doesnt have the at-st leg design
I believe they are light mech or super heavy Infantry seeing he said that they were smaller that titans from titanfall so maybe around the size of reapers from titanfall and those are about 9 feet tall half the size of a regular titan which is about 17 to 18 feet tallHonestly if you want mechs dust off AT-XT its effectively a shielded AT-ST and doesnt require ridiculous rd and specalised production facilities, plus creating mechas would draw all kinds of unwanted attention while AT-XT might get some raised brows but ultimatly dismissed

All Terrain Experimental Transport
The All Terrain Experimental Transport (AT-XT) was an experimental armored assault walker used by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. It was a predecessor to the AT-RT and AT-ST, the latter of which was used extensively by the Galactic Empire. The AT-XT was equipped with twin...starwars.fandom.com
Mech have been in star wars the definition of mech in star wars is anything that walks at-te, at-rt, at-ap, at-at, or at-st these are all mechs which then fall into the the narrower mech definition of walkers. Kek also thinking about it rolling out new armor for his troops is likely to earn even more loyalty since the govenor clearly cares about thier safety and well being
Im really only opposed to bringing in like super gundams and Armored cores etc, such stuff that invalidates so much of what makes star wars star wars, i have no issues with stuff that is confirmed in universeMech have been in star wars the definition of mech in star wars is anything that walks at-te, at-rt, at-ap, at-at, or at-st these are all mechs which then fall into the the narrower mech definition of walkers. Imagine if Luke just shows up to Minda looking for a job in the R&D department lmaoI see the Force is hard at work, giving Luke an Engineering version of the PDA?
Given Anakins affinity for tech, that Luke also inherited, can't wait to see what he'll come up with.
....Omeke potential: Vader get his hands on the Engineering PDA....
What's an IDE? Oh, you meant Idea, right?
Its a realization cu
