    It feels like a lot of these web series tend to have the protagonist literally stare at their first newbie pack cheat reward thing (devil fruit, marrow washing pill, etc.) for half a chapter to a whole chapter. Like, yeah, it's basically them dragging it out to make chapter money, but that is like, you could take it right in front of them. As a villain, it'd be wrong not to take advantage of this trope

    Someone did a Honghuang-styled Greek Mythology and it's pretty good; protagonist is a soft, fragrant, weak, and easy to push down loli goddess named Hebe too. Bit much on the cultivator stuff, but it's alright.

Like this asshole who started off with "Urban Pokemon 'Cut Hu' Type", MC gets an Alpha Totem Magikarp before "hero" could...

    It just becomes a generic "big Pokemon on Earth" urban plot, and it's awful.

    You know, like, even his system cheat gets forgotten about, the supporting or lesser characters that showed up initially practically disappear for the newer characters that the author focuses more on, but they never have the same rawness and charm as the first set.

    It's like a writer changing from writing a personal story for a movie to writing a textbook one, with emphasis on motivations and conflicts or whatever... a "Hollywood" movie. But anyone can weave an impersonal narrative, and you're never going to be as good as the ones who do this all day, but you're ditching the uniqueness of your own writing in pursuit of copying others. So, it becomes shit.

    You know how "zhu" is the pronunciation for "orb" and for "pig", so a lot of magical treasures tend to be orbs, right, so this one AI art web novel kept on drawing the characters holding a pig instead of an orb, so you'd see this dude holding a little round pig that's glowing like it's a super saiyan and shiny like a shiny pokemon, and being so happy to have it and everything
