    How mercenary Zhang Wei is, you gotta know, as long as you pay with monthly tickets, you can insert your OCs into canon Douluo setting, you can change the underlying setting rules (for example life span lengths or god power levels), you can change canonical events, and you can even change or direct unwritten plot.     Actually, Zhang Wei gets a cut from every secondary creation (fanfics, ai videos, cosplay, etc) pertaining to the "Douluo" IP (such as from bilbili, qq reader (tencent), douyin, etc), which is why even though it's a dead horse, he still beats it
