Did I accidentally just give a character serial killer or sociopathic vibes? Yep, and I'm keeping it in.
You know when you reach a point in your writing when everything becomes awkward, like you've done the thing that you wanted to do, and you can't imagine a way to move on from the awkward silence the characters are left in? I've learned to play into, have one of the characters call out the awkward situation, and force pivot into another direction.
*Slowly peaking over my desk to look around the site. I glance down at the writing.* "Soon," I whisper to myself. "You will be published soon."
