    Well, animation conventions are really weak in terms of sales/income (merchandise, tickets, etc.), but they're very easy to transition into game conventions, and those make a lot of money (deals with devs, players willing to pay, etc, publicity, etc.), so if you do think about doing some kind of hybrid, I'm sure you'll find some good opportunities there.
